I, Hogwarts Second Time Around.

Chapter 575 Escape from Death

Chapter 575 Escape from Death

The instant Ginny finished speaking.

Harry caught a glimpse of a familiar figure through the window.

The man, draped in a black robe, stood silently before the ruins of his home.

The silver hair peeking out from his neck testified to this man's extraordinary nature.

He was all too familiar with it.

Harry immediately got up from the ground.

Then he saw a curse coming straight at him from afar.

"Bang—" The spell struck the house with a crisp sound, like glass shattering. It must have been the protective charm left by Grindelwald that broke.

The curse continued its relentless momentum.

The window in front of the two people was blown to smithereens.

"Run, Harry!" Ginny yelled.

They are not yet strong enough to fight Voldemort.

She was really worried that Harry would storm up in a huff because of what had just happened.

However, Harry was actually more mature than she imagined, especially after Dumbledore's death.

He will leave, but not now.

He had to inform Grindelwald.

Just as he turned to head to the second floor, a tall, aged figure appeared before him.

"Alright, you two get out of here now," Grindelwald said coldly.

He had no idea that Voldemort would be here at this moment.

Based on the intelligence he received, Voldemort's attention should be focused on Paris at this moment.

How did I end up here all of a sudden?

He was somewhat careless, because Harry's arrival involuntarily reminded him of the two young men of similar age he had met years ago.

He was too tired.

I haven't had a break for a long time.

I just dealt with a group of Death Eaters today.

Normally, that group of people would have been wandering around Godric's Hollow for six or seven days. Even if they suddenly disappeared for a day or two, it wouldn't have alerted the Death Eaters. That's why he left Harry and Ginny behind.

Tonight will also be a peaceful night.

He was sleeping soundly; he never expected something like this to happen.

"Hmph, trying to leave?" As he spoke, Voldemort appeared in front of the room door.

His sinister eyes were filled with murderous intent as he scanned the crowd with unbridled arrogance.

"Let's leave them all here."

Having said that, he raised his wand and unleashed a spell.

The green light emitted a sharp scream and sped toward Grindelwald and his companions.

In the nick of time, Grindelwald shielded Harry and Ginny behind him.

They used a force field spell to deflect the deadly curse.

Voldemort, who had cast the Killing Curse, vanished instantly and reappeared behind Harry and the others a second later.

Harry felt a chill run down his spine.

He turned around in astonishment, and before his head could even straighten, he caught a glimpse of the gray-white spell aimed at him. The scene before him instantly changed, and when it stabilized again, they were already several blocks away.

"Stop being stubborn, let's go," Grindelwald urged.

"Yes, Harry, we're just a burden here," Ginny said anxiously.

"Remember, you must continue to practice Occlumency diligently. Although you have mastered Occlumency quite well now, that's only enough to deal with ordinary people using the Legilimency spell. Voldemort's strength is not stagnant; he is getting stronger and stronger, and your current level of Occlumency is no longer enough to withstand him," Grindelwald said quickly.

A pair of heterochromatic eyes stared at Harry and Ginny.

"Please pass this message on to Irving."

"Tell him that this is my own choice, and that he shouldn't blame anyone else."

Grindelwald concluded.

Then he shoved Harry and Ginny aside and Apparated away.

Harry stretched out his hand, mouth agape, as if to say something, but it was too late.

Ginny had already taken out the door key and activated it.

The next second, Harry felt as if a hook had snagged his belly button, pulled hard, and then he was stuffed into some kind of tube.

The world spun around them. After a long, drawn-out struggle lasting more than ten seconds...

He and Ginny fell into a forest.

"Phew—" Ginny got up from the ground, shivering. There seemed to be a lake nearby, and the temperature here was much colder than in other places.

She wasn't entirely sure where the key was; it was given to her by Hermione. The location was chosen by Dobby.

Only little elves can wander around outside so openly without attracting attention.

Having just recovered from the dizziness, Ginny took out another door key.

She first used a spell to destroy the previous door key.

Then it spurred on the next one.

After disappearing again.

She only stopped after doing it three times.

Apparition leaves traces, albeit very subtle magical traces, detectable only by legendary wizards like Dumbledore. But they were facing Voldemort, and Ginny couldn't guarantee he wouldn't pursue them. She had no choice but to use all the port keys she had in her pockets for escape.

"call--"

The two collapsed onto a patch of dry fallen leaves.

He fell into a deep sleep.

Both Harry and Ginny have suffered greatly, and their ability to persevere until now is entirely due to their strong willpower.

The key to the door just now shattered their last bit of mental strength.

The immense fatigue even caused them a pricking pain in their heads.

Fainting is an emergency protective measure for the brain.

------

I don't know how much time has passed.

The sun rises from its first light to its westernmost point and then begins to brighten again.

Harry had many strange dreams in which he saw Grindelwald and Ginny being captured by Voldemort, who brutally killed them amidst maniacal laughter.

He screamed desperately, but the monster remained unmoved. In the end, Voldemort killed himself in the same way.

"Harry, it's okay, wake up, wake up!"

Harry slowly opened his eyes.

"Harry," Ginny said quickly, "Are you feeling—okay?"

"It's alright." He wasn't telling the truth.

He was in the tent, lying on a lower bunk, covered with a pile of blankets. From the surrounding silence and the faint, cold light from the canvas canopy, he knew that dawn was approaching. He was soaked in sweat, which could be felt on the sheets and blankets.

"We escaped."

“Yes,” Ginny said, “I woke up yesterday evening and then set up this tent.”

"Another person has lost their life because of me," Harry said sadly. "I'm such a coward."

"No—" Ginny stepped forward, cupping his cheek with one hand, tears welling in her eyes, and said earnestly, "You're not a coward, Harry. Nobody's braver than you, and you're still so young!"

"Mr. Gellert is probably in grave danger." Harry tried to sit up, his hands bracing himself against the bed. "We must inform him as soon as possible—"

"Ah—" he screamed in agony.

The sudden, sharp pain in his brain caught him off guard.

"Don't move," Ginny said with heartache. "The mysterious person possessing you must have caused you mental harm. You need to rest."

"Don't worry, I've already spread the word."

"Thank you, Ginny." Harry lay back down. "I don't know how to thank you enough. You saved me."

"Don't say that," Ginny said. "I'm willing to do these things."

She took out a towel and wiped the sweat from Harry's forehead.

"We will defeat the mysterious man. We definitely will."

"Hmm!" Harry nodded insincerely.

He had absolutely no confidence in this.

Moreover, they are becoming increasingly less confident.

"Sleep a little longer, it's not dawn yet," Ginny said, staying by his side.

Harry couldn't resist the fatigue that came from a deeper part of his brain.

After relaxing, I quickly fell asleep.

Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.

The sun was rising, and the pure, colorless, and boundless sky hung high overhead, indifferent to his suffering. Harry sat down at the tent entrance and took a deep breath of the clear air.

Being able to live and watch the sun rise over a glistening, snow-covered mountainside must be the greatest treasure in the world.

However, he was in no mood to appreciate it; his senses were wounded by the possibility of Grindelwald's death. He didn't know how to tell Owen the news.

"call--"

Harry gazed at the snow-covered valley, the distant church bells piercing the shimmering silence. Unconsciously, his fingers dug into his arm, as if resisting excruciating pain. He had bled countless times; he had once lost all the bones in his right arm; sometimes he wished he were the one who died, and if he could kill Voldemort with his own life, he would not hesitate.

He no longer wanted anyone to die.

"Where should we go now?" Ginny came out of the tent behind him, carrying two cups of tea.

"Back to Hogsmeade." Harry took a cup.

"Go and meet up with Hermione."

"Okay—" Ginny nodded in agreement.

On the other side, Hogsmeade Village.

The Weasley's Alchemy Workshop.

This place became a temporary base for the DA army.

The main reason is that this place is big enough.

The shop in front is now abandoned. The shelves that used to be full of magical trinkets are now empty, giving it a strong sense of desolation.

Once inside the counter, use your wand to tap the counter in a certain pattern to open an underground staircase leading to the alchemy workshop in the back shop.

George and Fred used to assemble war machines here; the space is quite large, and with a little modification, it could easily accommodate hundreds of people.

"Still no news about Kyrie Irving?"

Inside the workshop, seven or eight little elves were busy at work.

Fred and George are building some kind of combat puppet.

Compared to the previous war mechs, this puppet, which is only one-third the size of a mech, is more practical.

They have already produced dozens.

"No Hermione!" Fred said, taking off his goggles. "This is the third time you've asked today."

"He has been missing for a month."

"He often disappears for months at a time," George said.

Then, realizing that his words might not be entirely reliable, he quickly added, "Oh—you know, he'll be alright eventually."

Hearing this, Hermione frowned and didn't pursue the topic any further.

"Where are Ron and Harry? Are they back?"

“Ron’s back a long time ago. He won’t turn around and go to America with Koyatl again,” George said. “I heard Koyatl’s uncle is living alone in America, secretly looking for her.”

"As for Harry," Fred said, vaulting over the metal frame assembling the magical golems and landing beside Hermione. "Ginny has been sending messages these past few days. They've entered Godric's Hollow and should be back soon."

"Hurry up, I have a feeling something big is going to happen soon."

"Big news? What big news?" Fred asked.

At that moment, Neville and Seamus emerged from a secret passage beneath the alchemy workshop.

"Hey, you're all here!" Seamus quickly walked up the stairs to the platform where Hermione and the twins were.

"The Mysterious Man has recently sent more people to Hogwarts."

"Now the castle is in a state of panic, even the Slytherin students realize that the Mystic has gone mad."

"The castle is teeming with Death Eaters. They're using Legilimency and Cruciatus Curse with impunity. They seem to be looking for something," Neville continued.

"Looking for something?" The twins were taken aback. "Are there secret rooms in the castle that we don't know about?"

"The castle holds many secrets," Hermione said, rolling her eyes at the twins.

She suddenly thought of Merlin's Chamber deep inside the castle.

She was certain that the Death Eaters were searching for Merlin's Chamber.

"Any other news?" she asked again.

"And—" Neville thought carefully, "The giant eight-eyed spiders in the Forbidden Forest are stirring. Someone saw a few at the edge of the forest. You know, they don't usually appear on the outskirts of the forest."

"And then there's what I heard from my parents—I wasn't eavesdropping, I just overheard them by chance—they said that several rod-making masters had died in Europe. The most famous one seemed to be something like Grigovich. Apparently, he was a rod-making master on par with Ollivander."

"Gregorich?" Hermione murmured a few times. She was very familiar with the name, and she knew that Voldemort was looking for Gregorich because of the Elder Wand.

Could it be that Voldemort already has news of the Elder Wand?

"The vampires of Northern Europe are starting to run rampant." Ernie's voice came from the secret passage.

He then climbed out with Hannah and Justin.

"Our DA members in Paris have reported an attack on the Rosier Magical Disability Hospital."

"Any casualties?" Hermione immediately tensed up. The Rosier Magical Disability Hospital was established by Owen and his Rosier family. There might be his relatives in the hospital.

"Yes—" Hannah said, "but not medical personnel. The main casualties were French Aurors and fairies."

"Fairies?" Hermione was taken aback. She understood the Aurors; the French Ministry of Magic had sent a group of Aurors to guard the hospital, and they were naturally on the front lines when attacked, so it was normal for them to suffer casualties.

But fairies?

Recently, the Fairy Kingdom has indeed been fully cooperating with Rozier Hospital to cure its curse.

Did the fairies suddenly have a change of heart and fight back bravely during the attack?

"What value do goblins have? They just hide in their caves when war breaks out," Fred said dismissively. He knew that the Order of the Phoenix had sent people to Gringotts to discuss a union, but the goblins had flatly refused. They had even deliberately brought in Death Eaters in preparation for the reward.

Those unlucky guys escaped death by sheer luck. Because they were well-prepared and had anticipated that the demons might reveal information due to their despicable and shameless nature, they had been on guard the whole time and were able to barely escape back.

Upon their return, they had a major argument with Theseus Scamander, because it was Theseus Scamander who issued the order.

Gemini overheard the news because they were arguing and not paying attention to their surroundings.
