I, Hogwarts Second Time Around.
Chapter 121 Rowena's Shadow
Chapter 121 Rowena's Shadow
On the other side of the Forbidden Forest, the fire dragon was still raging, and it would not be extinguished until it had exhausted its last drop of magic.
"You—" After escaping danger, Fudge suddenly changed his expression, from initial panic to a cold glint in his eyes.
A fire of rage raged wildly within him.
He, the Minister of Magic, was ambushed by a group of junior wizards and nearly died from the bites of those filthy insects.
How could he possibly quell his anger?
"Grab them for me." His bloodshot eyes seemed to have unfortunately gotten some magazines in the water, making it difficult for him to open them wide; he could only squint slightly.
Tears were still welling up in the corners of her eyes.
The pinstripe suit, though dried by the warm wind, had become wrinkled.
The bright red tie didn't look so bright anymore.
His black cloak was stained with water. It clung to Fudge, stretching his body straight.
He should be said to have become a mess.
But he looked far more terrifying than usual. His kind-hearted demeanor vanished; to onlookers, he looked like a vampire.
Upon hearing the commotion, the two Aurors who had been ambushed by Hermione exchanged a glance. They then nodded, walked over together, bound Hermione and her companion with specially made magical handcuffs, and confiscated her wand.
The group hesitated for a moment, their eyes unconsciously drifting towards the lake.
This is Hogwarts. Whatever they do, they must inform Dumbledore beforehand. If this had happened anywhere else, they would have already rushed up, grabbed these lawless little wizards, and thrown them into the Ministry of Magic for trial.
Whether it was Azkaban or simply the Kiss of a Dementor, that was none of their business.
On the other side, on Black Lake, the old principal kept a close eye on what was happening on the shore.
After seeing several Aurors rush forward and put shackles on Hermione and the others, Dumbledore finally couldn't resist taking action—and then—then he turned to look at the witch on the other side.
Hey!
What do you mean? You don't mean you want me to settle this matter, do you?
The witch stood silently on the lake, her lonely figure reflected in the dark, mirror-like surface.
This wasn't in my script!
She had originally planned that after being defeated by Professor Flitwick, she would pretend to say, "Well, you are qualified to inherit Ravenclaw," and then disappear into the light, making a peaceful exit.
With all these strange things happening now, I haven't even figured out how to escape yet!
The witch frowned, indicating that she did not want to get involved.
Then, a hopeful glint appeared behind Old Deng's half-moon shaped glasses as he glanced at her again.
Stop looking, I'm not the principal!
Take another look.
—At least not now.
Take another glance.
—Okay, maybe it will be in the future.
Well, I guess I can't escape this life of toil.
The little witch sighed, then strolled slowly across the black lake, walking towards the shore.
This action immediately alerted Kingsley. He left the group, and all the Aurors gathered around Fudge, drawing their wands and cautiously watching the newcomer.
"Who are you, and what do you want!" Fudge, standing at the back of the crowd, looked at Lani with fear in his glowing red eyes. His face stiffened for a moment, as if he realized his high position. Then, he forced himself to remain calm, raised his head, and said with a certain arrogance, "Stranger wizard, state your purpose."
Unfortunately, the little witch didn't look at him; she walked straight through the crowd and went to Hermione and Luna's side.
"Well! Have you changed your mind?"
Her clear, cool voice was like snowflakes falling on fallen leaves.
"Following the threads of fate, I work for the witch."
Hermione's eyes were glazed over, her mind filled with a tragic future. It was as if someone was choking her, making it hard for her to breathe.
It wasn't until a "click" sounded and the magical handcuffs on her hands suddenly opened, falling to the ground with a "thud" that she came back to her senses.
"I"
To Harry's astonishment, she hesitated for a second.
If it's better than spending her whole life in Azkaban, then she...
"No—I will never help the executioners who attacked the school." Hermione's gaze hardened again. A light returned to her eyes.
Luna, who was standing next to her, nodded gently.
"I'm sorry, but I'm also very happy." The witch's thin lips exhaled a slight chill.
"I did not intend to attack those students—my students." A faint, sorrowful light shone in the witch's blue eyes, as if a glance had traversed a thousand years.
"Perhaps dividing a school into four colleges is not a very smart move," she suddenly said.
The sheer amount of information contained in that simple sentence sent a chill down the spines of everyone present.
What do you mean?
Are you perhaps Rowena Ravenclaw herself?
One of the four wizards who founded the school a thousand years ago has been resurrected?
The thought unconsciously popped into everyone's mind.
"I...you are...you are—" Fudge was so shocked that his words became intermittent. He stared wide-eyed at the witch in front of him. It was hard to associate her with the most intelligent witch from a thousand years ago, given her blue skin and cold, ethereal appearance.
"I—am merely a shadow of calamity." The voice, as swift as the wind, seemed about to vanish in the next second. On the other side of the Forbidden Forest, the rising steam from the burning flames carried a fallen leaf into the sky.
It drifted down, drifted down, and landed in the witch's hand.
"The fallen leaves bring a message," she whispered.
"This is a sign of parting."
The fallen leaves transformed into particles in her hands and slowly dissipated.
"Have faith in your path!" Her figure suddenly became ethereal, and countless particles of light scattered out a magnificent galaxy.
"Please don't make things difficult for these children." The witch's last glance fell on Fudge. "They are all Ravenclaw's children."
As the last ray of starlight spread across the sky.
The witch's figure vanished completely from the spot.
Only Ravenclaw's golden tiara, floating in mid-air, still shone brightly with a blue light.
"That's the Ravenclaw tiara." As the only Ravenclaw present, Luna recognized the tiara at a glance.
Thinking back, she remembered seeing this golden crown on the witch's table in that magical house last time.
"Could she be—" Kingsley, Tonks, and the other Aurors stared incredulously at the golden crown before them.
An absurd idea popped into their minds.
That is, Rowena's soul, or a part of her soul, is inside this golden crown.
"My God!" Everyone realized that this was an absolute treasure.
"I'm sorry, Connery, it belongs to Hogwarts." On the other side, the old headmaster finally came over, and said in a cold tone, despite the greedy look in Fudge's eyes.
I had two more exams today. Math, oh math, all I can do is write out the solution.
