Chapter 30 Sparring

"Next up is Kamata Jiro..."

As Mr. Aoyama called out each person's name.

Around the room, the young ninjas, some kneeling solemnly, others sitting cross-legged, all stared wide-eyed at the fight between Mr. Ikeda and the new student.

Kamata Jiro remembers his outstanding junior. There was a classmate named Kamano; he wondered if they were related...

Like his friends, Toshiro found a spot by the window. He basked in the sunlight, leaned against the wall, and sat cross-legged.

His gaze swept indifferently across the arena.

From his perspective, the moves of these young ninjas were quite rudimentary. Even those from certain ninja clans didn't stand out much. However, this was normal; not everyone was like Itachi Uchiha or Kakashi, graduating from the ninja academy at the age of five or six.

"The next Uchiha Toshiro!"

Sitting cross-legged on the wooden floor of the classroom, leaning against the wall to rest, Toshiro, who had been waiting for half an hour, was suddenly energized as the sunlight bathed his entire body. He then stood up and walked to the center of the room.

If he waited any longer, he seriously doubted he would fall asleep again out of boredom. There was nothing he could do; spring really wasn't a good time for school.

As Toshiro slowly walked into the center of the classroom, everyone, teachers and students alike, stared intently at him. There was no way around it; the Uchiha surname was simply too special, both for ordinary people and for members of the clan.

For ordinary civilians, every appearance of the Uchiha meant that their relatives, friends, or acquaintances would be arrested and taken to the police force for punishment.

For clan ninjas, associating with the Uchiha clan was politically incorrect. No clan ninja would dare to overstep this bounds, because they represented not only themselves, but also, in many cases, the attitude of their clan.

This made the Uchiha clan appear particularly arrogant to outsiders. As fellow ninja clans, it was incredibly difficult for the Uchiha to integrate; an invisible barrier stood in their way. And seeing the occasional fear in the eyes of ordinary civilians, the proud Uchiha disdained any deep interaction with them.

"Form the opposing hand seals, and let the ninja sparring begin!"

Toshiro nodded, gathered power under his feet and exploded instantly. In a flash, he appeared in front of Ikeda Yuta and threw a punch at Ikeda's cheek.

Many students gasped quietly; the speed Toshiro had just unleashed was far too fast for them to even catch.

Although he didn't gather chakra in his legs to enhance explosive power, and because he created a shadow clone, his stamina wasn't at its peak, his speed had reached a level that even surprised Yuta Ikeda.

However, Ikeda-sensei was a Chunin who had experienced life and death, and his combat experience was extremely rich. He had encountered countless ninjas who were faster than Toshiro. Although he was startled by Toshiro's sudden burst of speed, it was not enough to cause him to lose.

With a slight turn of her head, she dodged Toshiro's fist. Before Toshiro could even land, he launched a series of kicks, but Ikeda-sensei blocked them all with a series of slaps.

Using the momentum, Toshiro landed, then unleashed another burst of speed, turned, and appeared behind Ikeda-sensei. He crouched down and swept a spinning kick towards Ikeda-sensei's lower body.

Teacher Ikeda lifted one leg and took the full force of Toshiro's sweeping kick. The powerful force from the leg surprised Teacher Ikeda; an ordinary genin might not have been able to withstand it.

As a Chunin, Ikeda-sensei judged that Toshiro's attack was not enough to shake him. After enduring the attack, he took advantage of the gap that Toshiro made during his attack and kicked him in the head. Toshiro could only raise his arms to block, but he was still kicked five or six meters away.

"Wow, that's some impressive leg strength! My arms are numb!"

Toshiro was a little surprised. He could tell that Ikeda-sensei had just kicked him casually, and that he was holding back because he was afraid of hurting him. He just didn't know how much force he had used, but even so, he almost couldn't take it.

This shows that Toshiro is still a very, very long way from being a true Chunin.

[I've embarrassed transmigrators again! When other transmigrators were six years old, they could easily kill Chunin, it was practically like slaughtering chickens and dogs. As for him, although he wasn't at his peak, the difference was still obvious!]

His expression grew increasingly serious. Although it was just an exam, Toshiro would not let his guard down in the battle. Power erupted from his feet, and he appeared around Ikeda-sensei like a ghost to attack.

The students watched the spectacular fight unfold before them, their fists clenched tightly, barely daring to blink. The match was simply too amazing for them. Toshiro was incredibly fast and his attacks were astonishing, while Ikeda-sensei was even more impressive, effortlessly dodging attacks and blocking punches and kicks. Some of them even forgot to breathe while watching, only managing to catch their breath after a while.

Some students who thought they were quite good looked embarrassed. Toshiro's performance was so outstanding that they were completely outshone, which made them a little unwilling.

Kids, most of them like to show off.

At that moment, Toshiro kicked out from a tricky angle, while Ikeda-sensei accurately grabbed Akiyo's ankle and slammed him to the ground. At the same time, he extended his index and middle fingers and quickly pointed them at Akiyo's neck. The brief stiffness after falling to the ground prevented Toshiro from reacting at all. Perhaps due to a lack of practical experience, Toshiro's senses were a bit dulled. In that instant, the battle was over.

"Excellent!" Teacher Ikeda gave a brief praise, without offering any further comments. Perhaps he couldn't offer any more, since Toshiro's speed and strength were already impeccable for his age, aside from his lack of experience and skill.

"It's hard to believe this is a kid who's only six years old. His skillful moves, keen senses, and imposing aura are impressive. Just looking at his taijutsu, he's already close to the level of a genin."

"In this year's class, before the other students learn the clan's ninjutsu, I'm afraid no one can beat him."

[Considering his surname, even if he learns the clan's secret techniques, it'll probably be useless. The Uchiha clan truly lives up to its reputation as an elite ninja clan!]

The two exchanged a seal of reconciliation, and facing Ikeda-sensei's 'piercing' gaze, Toshiro felt a little uneasy.

[It seems that Toshiro is the top student in the class, and he might very well be the top student this year!]
