Chapter 22 Going to School

Today is the first day of the Ninja Academy.

The Ninja Academy was an official institution founded by the Second Hokage and imitated throughout the ninja world, aiming to provide a path for ordinary people to become ninjas.

It not only recruits commoners without family lineage, but also entrusts the children of major ninja clans to the ninja academy for training.

There's no rush to learn the family's secret techniques; school holidays are enough, and the village can teach the basics, saving time and effort.

This way, the village can rest assured, and the family can feel at ease. After all, not everyone is thinking about rebellion every day.

Because the Ninja Academy is directly under the Hokage's jurisdiction, the teaching materials used are carefully selected and compiled, and even the teachers are directly appointed by the Hokage.

Through this multi-pronged approach and meticulous training (brainwashing), most ninjas, whether commoners or clan members, uphold the "Will of Fire" and are willing to contribute their own strength to protect the village, everyone, and the Hokage.

This is also an indirect way for Naruto to influence ninja clans.

While the idea is good, most clan ninjas are influenced by their birth, privileged environment, the secret techniques they learn, and the various conveniences provided by their clans. Although they have a strong sense of belonging to the village, they still prioritize their clan in the long run, as it is only natural to have different levels of kinship and distance.

Aside from a small number of people who harbor the "Will of Fire" and think from the perspective of the "Hokage".

Thinking about all this inevitably brings to mind the family's future filial son. His battle IQ is off the charts, but his emotional intelligence in interpersonal relationships is practically zero. How did he manage to be manipulated into becoming a tool by the Hokage and Danzo, one playing the good cop and the other the bad cop?

In his view, Itachi Uchiha was tricked by the Hokage and Danzo working together.

One talks a lot about the Hokage's way of thinking, claiming to be a good young man who has inherited the Will of Fire. The other uses threats and inducements, saying that when it's our turn to take action, even your precious younger brother won't be able to be protected.

As Fugaku's eldest son, Itachi Uchiha was on the Hokage's side, and the conflict between the two Mangekyou Sharingan users left Fugaku unable to attend to anything else.

The fate of his clan was sealed the moment he chose to become the sharpest blade in the Hokage's hands. Otherwise, with two pairs of Mangekyou Sharingan working together, how could things have progressed to that point?

And then there's Uchiha Shisui, who was far too naive, revealing his trump card to the Konoha leadership. He was nearly taken down in a sneak attack, severely damaging the reputation of "Shisui of the Body Flicker Technique."

"The Uchiha family's parenting style is really worrying!" After complaining about the family's parenting methods, Uchiha Toshiro put these chaotic thoughts to the back of his mind.

Leaving aside the Third Hokage's lengthy explanation of "Ape Tutoring".

Because of his outstanding performance in the entrance exam, Uchiha Toshiro was assigned to Class 1 (1). There are nearly ten classes in the first year of the Ninja Academy, with about 30 students in each class.

The entire ninja academy, including teachers and administrative staff, has nearly 2000 people. More than 300 ninjas graduate each year, which is relatively reasonable considering the more than 1 ninjas currently employed in Konoha.

After entering the school building and turning right, Uchiha Toshiro easily found his classroom. Confirming it was the right classroom, he stepped inside.

Toshiro didn't arrive early; there were already more than ten people in the class. Sitting in the most prominent position in the middle was a little boy with a dog on his head, wearing a blue T-shirt, and with two red fang-shaped paint marks on his face. He was probably from the Inuzuka clan.

In the front row, in the seat of the model students, sat a girl with black hair and delicate features. Her pure white pupils revealed her to be from the Hyuga clan. Unfortunately, a white bandage covered her head; without a doubt, she was a "Caged Bird."

His gaze swept across the room, paying no attention to the other future classmates, whether they were commoners or members of wealthy families.

He nodded slightly, a perfunctory greeting to the curious students who were looking over. He walked straight to the last row of the classroom, a seat by the window. Hmm! This seat is truly reserved for underachievers, a must-choose for time travelers.

Before long, as more ninja trainees arrived, the classroom filled up. The noise inside gradually grew louder. Although most of them didn't know each other yet, a few social butterflies with a strong desire to express themselves successfully made new friends.

His gaze swept across the classroom again; he was the only Uchiha child there. This was a deliberate arrangement by the Ninja Academy. Generally, only one child from the same clan would be in a class, the purpose being to downplay the concept of clan. Of course, there were always exceptions; as far as he knew, two of the eleven children from clans who enrolled this year were in the same class.

The Second Hokage established a security force, which successfully contained the Uchiha clan. However, from another perspective, the clan's population growth in recent years also contributed to this.

The reason there are 11 people, instead of the 13 who participated in the first clan ninja training, is because two people dropped out of becoming ninjas in the past two years.

Not every child has the perseverance and determination to work hard and sweat to become a ninja.

Finally, as a young man carrying a notebook walked into the classroom, all the noise and commotion melted away like spring snow meeting the sun.

"Wake up, you students who are daydreaming in the back, we're about to start class!" He clapped his hands to attract the children's attention and reminded Uchiha Toshiro, who was having trouble concentrating and was daydreaming.

Toshiro turned around and glanced at the new teacher, whose appearance was quite distinctive.

He wore a green Chunin vest, paired with black trousers and ninja sandals, with a ninja headband tied around his waist. His features were fairly regular, nothing particularly remarkable. What was striking was his gleaming bald head, which was simply too eye-catching.

This inevitably reminded Uchiha Toshiro of an anime he had watched in his previous life, "One-Punch Man," and its protagonist, Saitama.

"Uh! He even looks somewhat similar to Saitama when he's serious..."

"My name is Ryosuke Aoyama. From today until you graduate from the Ninja Academy, I will be your teacher!" He said, writing his name on the blackboard with chalk.

Hearing the teacher call out his name, Toshiro breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness nothing terrible had happened. If the teacher had called out Saitama's name, he wouldn't know what to say. His own name, Toshiro, already gave him the feeling of being in the wrong show. If it were Saitama, wouldn't that be awful? And what if it were Luffy or Bulma? He'd be devastated!

As he spoke, the young man turned around and bowed to everyone. Hmm! Not bad attitude. It seems the Hokage has a knack for choosing people.
