Chapter 24 You're an apprentice too? What a coincidence, me too.

"uh-huh!"

Just as Audrey was about to say something more, she suddenly heard a violent cough.

Looking in the direction of the sound, they saw Viscount Grelint coughing violently as if he were seriously ill, and he kept winking at Audrey.

Seeing that Audrey was finally looking over, Gretel nodded and walked toward the study.

"Excuse me, I need to go to the restroom."

Audrey sighed slightly and said in a low voice.

She then lifted her skirt, slowly stood up, and walked towards the restroom.

But halfway there, they circled around from out of sight to the study on the first floor.

She was clearly familiar with the environment and it wasn't her first time attending a salon in this villa.

"I need to discuss something with Grelint. You stay at the door and don't let anyone else in."

Audrey gave an order to her personal maid, Anne.

"OK."

Anne nodded gently and watched Audrey enter the study.

Meanwhile, in the study, Grelint was waiting anxiously.

"Audrey".

When Grelint saw Audrey walk in, he immediately wanted to remind her, but Audrey changed the subject.

"Ms. Fors."

Audrey looked at another woman casually browsing the bookshelves with a hint of skepticism. "I heard from Grelint that you are a true extraordinary being, is that true?"

She knew exactly what Grelint was going to say: that she was a count's daughter and of noble birth.

It's impossible with those fallen aristocrats from the countryside.

But, oh my god!

Did he never suspect that Mr. "Lover" was also an extraordinary being?

Audrey rolled her eyes subtly, then deliberately changed the subject, saying, "I also have something to say to you, Grelint. From now on, please remember to invite Mr. Ash to every party you host, okay?"

Grelint's eyes widened.

"Well then, Mr. Ash."

Audrey blinked. "But if that's the case, then you should still call me Audrey."

Yu Jin nodded slightly.

"Yes, Miss Hall."

"It's Audrey!"

"No problem, Miss Hall."

Audrey looked at Ember with some annoyance. She felt that he was deliberately toying with her, but she had no proof.

"Mr. Ash."

Audrey, not wanting to continue the conversation, changed the subject, asking, "Should I hand over the diary to you in real life from now on?"

At the moment she raised this question, Klein, far away in Tingen, suddenly felt a strong sense of crisis.

"No, no need."

Ember refused without hesitation, "I'm not interested in diaries."

He had no time to waste reading Russell's diary.

"OK."

Audrey nodded, then hesitated for a moment before lowering her voice to ask, "Mr. Ash, do you know what kind of extraordinary person could simply pass through a wooden door, or render the lock ineffective?"

After asking the question, Audrey suddenly noticed that the way Ember looked at her seemed to have changed.

"This is the apprenticeship pathway sequence, sequence 9, apprentice."

Ember slowly spoke, "I don't think I've ever demonstrated this ability to you. How did you learn about it from the apprentice?"

"Huh?"

Audrey paused, then asked in surprise, "Is Mr. Ash also on the apprenticeship path?"

"Yes."

Ember nodded calmly. "As you can see, I only became an apprentice a few days ago."

After a pause, Ember continued, "He can be considered a fresh and adorable newcomer among the extraordinary ones."

Audrey's face clearly showed some doubt. She believed that Ember was an apprentice pathway, but she couldn't believe that Ember would only be Sequence 9—

How could Sequence 9 possibly have a full ten magical items?!

"so."

"Did you encounter any other apprentices?" Ember asked.

"Um."

Audrey whispered, "It's the author of the book you're reading, Miss Fors."

So Miss Audrey honestly told Ember about her deal with Fors in detail.

PS: Audrey dared to talk to Ember in public because she was an audience member.

She can tell if anyone is eavesdropping, so she can avoid having her conversations overheard.

But Grynt and Fors didn't know this, so they didn't want to say too much in public and instead went to their study.

This should be easy to understand, right?
