Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin
Chapter 88, Chapter 86: Slytherin must keep this a secret!
Chapter 88, Section 86: Slytherin, keep it a secret!
As the head of Slytherin, Snape was the first to arrive upon receiving the news. Dudley had already arranged for the young Slytherin wizards to handle everything. Even the poor fifth-year prefect had been given a potion by Dudley. Fortunately, the guy reacted quickly and cast the Ironclad Charm on himself immediately, otherwise it would have been more than just a few broken bones.
For some reason, the young wizards of Slytherin were unusually well-behaved today.
They did whatever Dudley told them to do.
It seems they were terrified.
The troll's corpse was taken away by Snape, after his snot had been removed, of course.
According to information Malfoy later gathered, in addition to Slytherin, Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were also attacked that night, while Hufflepuff was not greatly affected because it was too close to the dining room.
Four giant monsters were captured, one dead and three injured.
So, did Hogwarts intrude into a troll's lair?
Dudley didn't know if he had stirred up a troll's nest, but in any case, he lowered his rating of Hogwarts' safety level by another notch.
Because of the troll incident, Hogwarts strengthened security in the castle overnight, placing portraits in every corridor so that the headmaster could be notified immediately of any situation.
Silent all night.
The next day, the first-year Slytherin wizards gathered together at Pansy's call.
"The great Dursley revealed his identity as a dark wizard to save me."
Pansy pointed to herself with a proud look and said, "Didn't you see? Mr. Dursley was the first to ask me if I was hurt."
"He even personally fed me a bottle of magic potion."
The so-called feeding was actually just Dudley giving her a bottle of calming potion.
After all, she was closest to the troll and was the most frightened.
"As you know, he really likes the black tea I brew."
As she spoke, Pansy, her face slightly flushed, tossed her hair, trying to show off her charm. Unfortunately, although her features were exquisite, her styling was just too ugly, the kind that offended the stylist. This approach actually made her look worse.
Although Pansy was quite prestigious among the first-year Slytherin students, she still aroused the dissatisfaction of a small number of young witches.
"Everyone, remember this: never tell any professors about this."
Pansy then changed the subject and gave a serious explanation.
"And what about the dean?"
Upon hearing this, Pan Xi retorted sharply, "No! Not even the Dean!"
The method by which Dudley killed the troll was glossed over. Snape, whether he discovered it or not, didn't investigate further and therefore didn't know that the troll died from the extremely powerful dark magic "Sandstorm".
"My father told me that Hogwarts forbids the study of dark magic, and if he found out, he would kick Mr. Dursley out."
As Pansy spoke, she swept her sharp eyes across the young wizards present.
"Anyone who dares to speak out, anyone who dares to cause Mr. Dursley to be expelled from Hogwarts, the Parkinson family will never let them get away with it!"
"My Malfoy family is one of them!"
"My Greengrass family is one of them!"
"And me too."
The first-year wizards all expressed their opinions.
Once upon a time, Dudley was universally despised by Slytherin, but now he's become a coveted prize in their eyes.
Even he himself was unaware of this.
He and Hermione were sitting quietly in the library reading. Hermione was looking at the second-year Charms textbook, while Dudley was looking at the old notebook he had taken from Snape. The many potion-making techniques in the notebook had greatly benefited Dudley.
In the seats behind Dudley and Hermione, Harry, Ron, and Neville were each engrossed in three books.
Based on a list of subjects that the three students excelled in and enjoyed, Dali made the arrangement accordingly.
Harry was studying Defense Against the Dark Arts, Neville was reading books on herbalism, and Ron was reading a book on divination.
Even though the best way to learn magic is through practical application, you still need to understand the underlying principles first.
On weekends, the early morning is training time, the morning is the study phase, Dudley goes to Snape's place to study at noon, and the others are free to do whatever they want, while the evening is the practical class.
This is the plan that Dali devised for them.
The days continued to pass slowly, and were quite fulfilling and enriching.
The day after Halloween, Gryffindor discovered that their house's hourglass of points had plummeted from second to last place.
This isn't a big deal, anyway, it will gradually come back up on Monday. It's always like this before when it's for staying out at night or breaking the rules, it's just that this time the drop is more severe.
However, a week later, Gryffindor discovered that their hourglasses had not grown, but had instead shrunk.
If it falls any further, it will become a zero.
They then realized that the know-it-all girl, who was always the most proactive in raising her hand and answering questions in every class, had stopped answering questions voluntarily.
The only source of extra points has been cut off.
This is Dudley's advice to Hermione.
"Gryffindor doesn't need that many points."
The so-called house honors were no longer important to Hermione; what mattered was that their little group was together, and that Dudley was by her side.
The young wizards of Gryffindor didn't care; since Miss Know-It-All wasn't going to help, they still had Quidditch matches to play.
If they get first place, they can still return to second place and then compete with Slytherin for first place.
The annual Quidditch tournament begins amidst the biting November winds.
The first match is Gryffindor versus Slytherin.
Surprisingly, Malfoy became Slytherin's Seeker, easily securing the position on the condition that all Slytherin receive a new flying broom. It's undeniable that money can buy anything.
With his skillful footwork and physique slightly above his age, he caught the Golden Snitch from Gryffindor's Seekers first.
Amidst the curses of Quidditch commentator Lee Jordan, Slytherin ascended the podium, causing the house's points to rise once again.
First, the brooms used in the competition were not standardized and had varying performance, which was unfair.
Second, the commentator's stance was biased and included personal opinions.
Dali wrote down these two things in his little notebook.
Time flies when you focus on studying, and before you know it, it's December.
In a few days, the first semester of first grade will be over.
However, Dumbledore still hadn't received any news about the formation of the group.
On Saturday afternoon, Snape limped into the Potions Room.
"Professor, you are injured."
Dudley immediately noticed Snape's unusual behavior. He sniffed the air a few times and said, "It smells like white sage, licorice, and houttuynia cordata."
"If I'm not mistaken, you must have been bitten by something."
As he spoke, he gently lifted Snape's trouser leg, looking at the huge tooth mark on it.
"It's a canine."
