Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin
Chapter 77, Section 75: You call this "flickering"?
Chapter 77, Chapter 75. You call this "flickering"? (Please subscribe, second update)
The Slytherin common room incident teaches us that sometimes having a lot of people is completely useless.
Unfortunately, Slytherin won't tell Gryffindor.
"Hermione, are you alright?"
Dudley, seemingly oblivious to everyone else, helped Hermione up, brushed the dust off her clothes, and leisurely picked up the scattered books one by one.
They didn't take the Gryffindors seriously at all.
Emboldened by their support, the group of five—two girls and three boys—grown bolder. One of the young witches, with short brown hair, pointed at Dudley and mocked, "Oh, you're really a first-year student? You look just like a gorilla. Yes, yes, a Slytherin gorilla, a Gryffindor beaver."
"So that's why you're defending Miss Beaver. You two are the same kind of people."
They laughed without restraint, and laughter echoed from all around.
Before Dudley could make a move, Hermione, who had been silent at first, suddenly rushed forward, grabbed the other man's hair, yanked hard, and punched him in the nose.
"Apologize to Dudley!"
Hermione roared angrily like an enraged lioness, her eyes glaring as if she wanted to devour the other person.
She can choose to silently endure being bullied, but when Dudley is ridiculed, Hermione will definitely be the first to stand up for him.
Don't assume Hermione is quiet just because she likes reading. Dudley, her childhood friend, knows perfectly well that Hermione's true personality is far more fiery than her gentle and easygoing self.
They're the type who'll resort to violence at the slightest disagreement.
"You dare hit me?! You dare hit me!!! Even my dad has never hit me!"
The little witch covered her nose, blood seeping through her fingers; Hermione had punched her in the nose, causing it to bleed.
Fortunately, that nose wasn't artificial, otherwise it would have been flattened by that punch.
"I'm going to kill you!"
The little witch went berserk and punched Hermione, then slammed her fist into Dudley, who was standing in front of Hermione. At that moment, Hermione felt as if she had hit a steel plate.
"My hand is going to break."
The little witch clutched her hands and cried out in pain, then raised her arms and shouted.
"Look, Slytherin hurt me!"
The Gryffindors immediately surrounded Dudley and Hermione, trapping them in the middle.
Although they didn't know exactly what had happened, they were certain that dealing with Slytherin was the right thing to do, because those were evil Slytherins.
As for Hermione, the annoying know-it-all girl willingly stooped to associating with Slytherin, so she's not a good person either.
The foolish and reckless Gryffindors wouldn't think that much about it; right and wrong didn't matter. All they wanted was to confront Slytherin.
They wanted to grab Hermione, but Dudley stood in front of her, and no one dared to step forward.
"Hermione is right, we should apologize, but we should apologize to her."
Dudley's gaze swept over the Gryffindors around him, finally settling on the group of five. While not all of them were present, Dudley basically understood what had happened.
Is bullying at Hogwarts really that serious?
First it was myself, then it was Hermione.
In reality, if it weren't for the Malfoy incident, and if Hermione hadn't become too close to him as a Slytherin, none of this would have happened.
Because of the rivalry between houses, bullying has always existed at Hogwarts, and it is no less prevalent than in other schools.
For example, Dudley's Uncle James was one of the participants in school violence.
"No, we Gryffindors will not bow down to Slytherin."
Although she got punched by Hermione, she's not entirely stupid.
It's clear that the other side is trying to escalate the situation to the point where it involves Gryffindor and Slytherin.
Upon hearing this, Dudley clearly sensed the Gryffindors around him displaying expressions of shared hatred.
They even all simultaneously extended their wands and aimed them at Dudley.
Dali snorted coldly, his expression growing increasingly indifferent.
What a Gryffindor! What a brave Gryffindor! What a united Gryffindor!
Without asking why, without distinguishing right from wrong, without differentiating between black and white.
Calling them brutes is a compliment, and calling them stupid is an award. The brains of this bunch of idiots combined probably don't even compare to those of a giant monster.
The problem isn't the academy, it's the people.
"What are you going to do?"
Dudley heard Harry's roar from outside the crowd.
"Mr. Potter, we know he's your brother, but this has nothing to do with you. Please leave if you don't want to get hurt!"
When it's useful and you want to show off, you say, "We got Porter," and when it's not useful, you say, "Leave if you don't want to get hurt."
Dudley heard Harry's roar fading into the distance. Putting aside the aura of a savior, he was just a first-year wizard. Even if his talent was stronger than that of the average wizard, it was still limited. Sometimes he would slack off and hadn't even mastered spells. He couldn't do anything.
"I think we should first figure out the situation."
Ron's weak voice followed.
Ron had a good impression of Dudley and even admired him a little. Besides, Dudley was the brother of his best friend Harry, so Ron felt he had to say something.
Unfortunately, he overestimated his influence and his position in Gryffindor.
"Rovsky, this is none of your business."
Poor Ron received the same treatment as Harry and was dragged away.
"My name is Ron! Not Rovsky!"
The sounds of struggle also faded into the distance.
By this time, most of the Slytherins had already left, with only a few remaining, silently giving a thumbs-up to the Gryffindor "champions" in their hearts.
He offended not only Miss Granger and Mr. Dursley, but also Mr. Potter.
It's not that they didn't want to help; Slytherin is essentially a very united house. They may have internal conflicts, but they will unite against external forces when it matters.
Not to mention facing a single Gryffindor, even if Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are added to the mix, they would have no fear.
But they were afraid of ruining that person's plan.
"If Mr. Potter hadn't been pretending, there would probably have been rivers of blood by now."
"Look at that expression of self-loathing and gritted teeth—it's so well acted! If I hadn't known beforehand, I almost would have believed it."
This was the thought in the minds of all the young Slytherin wizards.
Carol's argument had already spread throughout Slytherin. It was impossible to keep it a secret; there were no secrets among Slytherins. And Carol's view was almost universally accepted by most of the Slytherins.
Why do I say almost?
Because Malfoy didn't believe it; he insisted that Dudley was the real, powerful dark wizard behind Harry, and that only he had discovered this.
"Hermione, stay right behind me."
Dudley shielded Hermione behind him: "We're in the right!"
The double entendre seems to have a hidden meaning and is full of profound implications.
The atmosphere had reached freezing point; the air itself seemed to solidify. The Slytherin wizards on the periphery didn't dare to breathe, afraid of missing what might be an unforgettable moment. The Gryffindors inside were even more terrified, their hands gripping their wands drenched in sweat. Despite their numerical advantage, why did they feel a deep-seated tremor?
"Apologize."
Dudley's gaze gradually turned cold.
He was not a person who was good with words; he preferred to persuade people with virtue and reason.
Of course, if you don't reason with him, he'll have to resort to physics.
Golden sparks of electricity crackled across Dudley's body as his muscles bulged at a visible speed, his body seemed to grow several sizes larger, and his aura was fully unleashed.
At that moment, everything in front of him changed, and Dali seemed no longer to be Dali.
The young wizards seemed to see an incomparably ferocious beast.
Just like when Malfoy faced Dudley, he almost stopped breathing.
"Retreat quickly"
"Front teeth like a big stick"
"."
The young wizards, lacking any real mental fortitude, couldn't withstand the pressure and several launched an attack on Dudley.
After a period of learning, the young wizards were able to cast more than just the few spells the professor had taught them.
Among the spells shot at Dali were a few simple evil curses.
Countless beams of light, some red and some green, shot toward Dali.
However, as the young wizards learned these spells, Dudley was no longer the same as before. Faced with the onslaught of spells, he simply straightened his chest and raised his head.
The spells struck his chest, but his impressive pectoral muscles only twitched slightly before the spells vanished instantly, and nothing happened.
The power of magic resistance is then demonstrated.
Safe and sound.
The spell was cast by a few minor wizards, and the spells they used were not particularly powerful.
"You started it."
Dudley revealed two rows of white teeth, which reflected a cold glint in the sunlight.
"Hermione, close your eyes."
A hand the size of a palm-leaf fan slowly and gently covered Hermione's eyes, while Dudley took out his wand for the first time.
The other first-year Gryffindor wizards could only watch helplessly as Dudley did this; under Dudley's imposing presence, they didn't even dare to make a move.
"Is it finally happening? Mr. Dursley's curse! Will it be the Imperius Curse? Or the Cruciatus Curse? Or Avada Kedavra?"
The young Slytherin wizards were excited; they had practically grown up hearing the three Unforgivable Curses, and now they wanted to know Dudley's true power.
However, Dudley uttered a spell that they never expected.
"Fluorescent lights!"
The Slytherin wizards' minds collectively went blank, but Dudley didn't give them any time to think.
Centered on Dudley, a scorching, dazzling light erupted. The young wizards felt as if their vision was completely blurred, as if countless tiny needles were piercing their eyes, making everything around them indistinct and even causing them to feel dizzy.
It is the sun.
It was as if I had seen the sun.
All the young wizards who were watching Dudley felt a sharp pain in their eyes and instantly lost their sight.
I instinctively covered my eyes.
"I can't see anymore!"
"My eyes!"
"You call this fluorescent flickering?"
PS1: The plot of the movie The Guardians of Hogwarts is that Slytherin takes a clear stance against the other three houses.
The novel's plot is that all the Slytherin members left, most of the younger Ravenclaw members left, some Hufflepuffs remained, and half of the Gryffindors were left. Well, the Gryffindors weren't that united or that brave.
PS2: Ron's name being mispronounced is described in the original novel, or rather, his family's names are often mispronounced, such as the famous Wetherby.
