Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin
Chapter 55. The Spoon Incident
Chapter 55. The Spoon Incident
The sky was turning slightly white, as if a veil was slowly being lifted, revealing the outline of the earth. A thin mist hung in the air, like a veil gently covering the land. A fresh, moist feeling permeated the air, and a cool breeze gently swept by, bringing a slight chill.
Despite his reluctance, Malfoy arrived at the gates of Hogwarts precisely at 7 o'clock. All around was quiet, save for the falling leaves that rustled softly as they drifted to the ground in the wind.
Standing alone at the gate, Malfoy huddled by the door, cursing himself for probably being tricked.
It's Saturday morning, a time when you should be snuggled up in your cozy bed.
However, Malfoy secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Being tricked is better than actually training with that guy.
And they even had to say such shameful slogans.
If Malfoy hadn't been so utterly incapable of resisting, he would never have shouted it out.
Well, it's not that Malfoy didn't come, but that the other party wasn't there.
Just as Malfoy was about to turn back to the castle, he heard a soft, rhythmic 'click' sound behind him.
A figure slowly emerged from the thin morning mist outside the castle.
Dudley, wearing a sports vest and shorts, and holding two dumbbells while exercising, appeared in Malfoy's field of vision.
"I thought you'd be late, but you're so punctual."
Dudley approached Malfoy and, unusually, offered a word of praise.
"You," Malfoy looked at Dudley, unsure of what to say.
The guy in front of me had clearly undergone some training, which meant he had been here for quite a while.
But it's only seven o'clock. What time did they arrive?
Six o'clock?
"I've been training for a while now."
Dudley arrived much earlier than Malfoy. The reason he asked Malfoy to come at 7 o'clock was simply because he didn't want Malfoy to disturb him.
In addition to morning exercises, Dali also trains for a while before going to bed.
I've been training twice a day for years without interruption.
Training can be really addictive, especially watching your muscles grow little by little and feeling the ripples in your body grow stronger. Dali really enjoys this growth process.
"Start with the simplest things, do some warm-up exercises, and then get running."
Even when Dudley stood in front of Malfoy, he continued to move in place, swinging dumbbells up and down.
His gaze swept over Malfoy: "Next time, you'd better not wear a robe, you'll trip and fall."
He led Malfoy to a lawn not far from Hogwarts Castle and taught him a few simple warm-up exercises. Warming up before formal training is essential; it reduces the chance of injury during exercise, relieves muscle soreness, and increases the body's heat dissipation capacity.
At first, Malfoy dismissed the warm-up exercises Dudley taught him, thinking they were too simple.
When he tried to do it himself, he realized that his hands were not hands, his feet were not feet, and no matter what he did, he could not achieve the same ease as Dali.
After finally finishing, Malfoy felt like he was about to die.
However, this has not yet begun.
"Make the first day of training a little easier; just run three laps around Hogwarts Castle."
When Dudley trains, he includes Black Lake in his workout routine. That area is much larger. Malfoy couldn't even finish one lap, let alone three.
"You don't need to go swimming in Black Lake either."
Dudley not only runs around Black Lake, but he even swims in it. If you asked Malfoy to swim in Black Lake, with his small, plastic body, he would probably sink after a few splashes.
The lake water was quite cold in the early morning.
However, even if he ran around the castle, it was uncertain how long Malfoy could last.
After the warm-up training, Malfoy no longer dared to underestimate Dudley's claim of ease.
With heavy steps, Malfoy began his day of training.
I started jogging behind Dali.
At first, Malfoy could keep up with Dudley's pace, but then he started to think it was nothing special. However, Malfoy was, after all, a pampered young master who rarely exercised and never even ran a few steps.
Malfoy quickly realized that he had overestimated his abilities. Let alone three laps, he was already starting to run out of energy before he even finished the first lap.
Slowly, Dudley left them behind.
"No, I've reached my limit," Malfoy yelled.
His heart was pounding, his breathing was rapid, and the muscles in his legs ached terribly.
For the young master of the Malfoy family, this level of achievement is already quite impressive.
However, Dali is not his father and will not spoil him.
He walked over expressionlessly, pulled a shiny object from his shorts pocket, and smacked Malfoy on the back of the head.
"Run!"
"Dali said coldly."
"Since you've agreed, you must keep your promise. That's the most basic requirement for a man."
"pain!"
Seeing that Malfoy still showed no intention of running away, he was hit on the head again.
Of course, Dudley knew how to handle it; otherwise, Malfoy would have suffered more than just pain.
According to the data magic eye's instructions, the spot he hit would cause Malfoy a lot of pain, but there would be absolutely no aftereffects or wounds. No matter how many times he was examined, no problems would be found; it would just be simple pain.
Malfoy was unaware of this. Seeing that Dudley was serious, he disregarded his exhaustion, forced himself to stand up, and continued running.
If he had been any slower, he estimated he would have been covered in bumps.
"Have you forgotten those slogans I gave you before? Shout them out."
Malfoy got another whack on the head.
He winced in pain.
Forget about shame anymore, and shouted it out loud.
This is thanks to the excellent soundproofing of Hogwarts; if it were a university dormitory, Malfoy's shout would have woken them all up.
Dudley looked at the silver spoon in his hand. He had used this very thing to hit Malfoy on the head. Although he had never understood what it was for, it was surprisingly useful as a pointer.
It doesn't have any other special features, except that it's unusually hard.
Even Dali couldn't leave a tooth mark on it.
Time passed by, and soon the few early-rising wizards began to crawl out of bed.
Some boys and girls who were used to watching Dali exercise in the morning also habitually leaned on the windowsill. However, this time they discovered that Dali was no longer running alone, but had another figure running towards the rising sun.
So the young wizards witnessed a magical scene: Malfoy was running ahead, and Dudley was following behind with a spoon. If Malfoy slowed down even slightly, Dudley would tap him on the head with the spoon, while Malfoy, who was running ahead, seemed to be shouting something.
Although it was hard to hear clearly, it was definitely not a cry for help.
