Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin

Chapter 393 387 Fudge and Percy X Rima and Bole?

Chapter 393, Section 387: Fudge and Percy X A Talented Horse and Its Mentor?

A day later, the news that "the Ministry of Magic has been invaded by unknown assailants and the Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement has been attacked and his fate is unknown" made the front page of the Daily Prophet.

The picture shows Amelia's house, which was destroyed in the explosion.

This news shocked the entire English wizarding community.

How many years has it been since something like this happened?

"It must have been Dumbledore!"

Fudge tossed the Daily Prophet aside and slammed his hand on the table.

The Ministry of Magic officials and Aurors standing before him exchanged bewildered glances.

Few wizards would believe that Dumbledore would do something so crazy.

Even though they were Fudge's subordinates, they were not without basic logic.

This did Dumbledore no good whatsoever, and his relationship with the Death Eaters was like fire and water. What was his purpose in doing this? He's not really insane!

If Dumbledore hasn't gone mad, then it can only be that...

Everyone's eyes involuntarily turned to the figure that kept roaring.

Their Minister of Magic is most likely... insane!

Rufus Scrimgeour, the Auror's chief of staff, shook his head repeatedly. Amelia Borns, who had gotten into trouble, was his former direct superior.

With his boss absent, he could only stand there and follow Fudge's orders.

He simply didn't believe that Dumbledore had led the Death Eaters to attack Amelia Bones; just last year, he and Dumbledore had captured a whole bunch of Death Eaters.

It's more believable that Fudge led a group of Death Eaters to attack Amelia, even though he probably didn't have the guts.

"We must take immediate action."

Fudge muttered to himself for a while, then, as if remembering something, he looked around and shouted, "Percy, come to my office."

Everyone cast a sympathetic glance at Percy, which was now the umpteenth time recently.

No one wanted to face a madman like Fudge.

Except for Percy.

"Yes, Minister."

Percy maintained his signature smile and followed Fudge into the office amidst the mocking, laughing, pitying, and sympathetic gazes of the crowd.

The door was gently closed, and the crowd outside dispersed. They didn't want to stay any longer; it wouldn't be good if Fudge assigned them some impossible mission.

For example, you could go and capture Dumbledore, that's an epic mission.

"Did you see the look in their eyes?"

Fouché sat in the minister's chair, his face so gloomy it seemed to drip water.

"They looked at me like I was an idiot. They thought I didn't know they thought I was crazy!"

Fudge vents his emotions, and only when he is alone with his confidants does he reveal his truest self.

"Minister, please calm down and take care of your health."

Percy poured Fudge a glass of black liquid, similar to coffee in the magical world, with a calming effect.

"Those ignorant fools are not worth paying attention to; we just need to achieve results."

Fudge downed the liquid in his glass in one gulp, and his violently heaving chest gradually calmed down: "You're right, Percy. As long as we can find the evidence, we can shut everyone up. I will definitely expose Dumbledore's true colors in front of everyone."

Dumbledore had become Fudge's inner demon.

He seemed to have forgotten that when he first took office, he went to Dumbledore every day to seek his help.

He even forgot that he only got the position of Minister of Magic because Dumbledore didn't want it.

Power can blind people.

"I've been gathering intelligence on the Death Eaters' plans, and we'll seize the opportunity to strike as soon as we get any information."

Fudge was so excited he almost cried out, grabbing Percy's hands tightly: "Percy, thanks to you, thanks to you! I really don't know what I would have done without you. Thank you, thank you so much."

"Minister, I was originally just an unknown newcomer."

"It is because you recognized my abilities that I was able to realize my dreams."

"Without you, I'd probably still be doing odd jobs. I'm the one who should be saying thank you."

"Percy!"

"minister!"

The two gazed at each other with "deep affection," appearing to outsiders to be a genuine picture of "a talented horse and its discerning owner."

In truth, Fudge was indeed full of gratitude. Although Percy looked intently at Fudge, who was caught up in his obsession, as if trying to imprint his image deep into his mind, he secretly reminded himself to learn from past mistakes and never lose himself in power, lest he become like the man before him.

For a whole week, the Aurors couldn't find Amelia, or even her brother Asgard.

The group seemed to have vanished from the wizarding world.

How could someone who has been captured by those vicious black wizards possibly have a good ending?

They all subconsciously associated them with the disaster.

Fudge classified it as a serious attack and took direct control of the entire Department of Magical Law Enforcement, arguing that he needed to assume the responsibilities of Minister of Magic.

However, it's obvious to anyone with eyes to see that he's expanding his influence and placing his own people in key positions.

Sure enough, not many days later, Umbridge, who had been imprisoned in the Ministry of Magic's cell, was released and given a new post in charge of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, which greatly displeased several directors, led by Scrimgeour.

The head of the Office for Prohibiting the Abuse of Magic protested by resigning, but to no avail. Deputy Director Dormammu Gargson was promoted to the position and smoothly took over his work.

Pierce Sinkness took over as head of the Wizengamo Coordination Office; he was someone Fudge had personally promoted.

Meanwhile, Kingsley Shackleton took over as the Auror's head of strikers.

The entire leadership of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement underwent a major reshuffle.

At this point, only Scrimgeour remained of Amelia's original direct subordinates.

Fudge originally wanted to move the location of his Auror office, but he couldn't find a suitable candidate at the moment and had to give up.

Seeing that the situation was hopeless, Scrimgeour could only swallow his anger and obediently follow Fudge's orders, even though some of them sounded like nonsense to him.

Amelia's disappearance not only caused a major reshuffle at the Ministry of Magic, but also caused quite a stir at Hogwarts.

Susan Burns of Hufflepuff is Amelia's niece, and her parents are from another branch of the Burns family.

When news of her aunt's disappearance spread, she didn't receive sympathy and care from her classmates, but rather many gloating glances, and some even planned to mock her.

But they were only appeased after being thoroughly taught a lesson by a group of Slytherins led by Pansy.

The Bones family's abundance of talented individuals is a source of pride for a pure-blooded clan, and this honor must not be tarnished.

Susan Bornes is a character from the original work. After the news of Amelia's murder was published in the Daily Prophet, guess how her classmates treated her?

He wore a gloating expression.

I'm truly speechless. What kind of trash has Hogwarts produced?
