Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin
Chapter 389 383 The Attackers Inside the Ministry of Magic
Chapter 389, Section 383: The Invaders Inside the Ministry of Magic
The public's enthusiasm for the feature film remains high, and everyone is very curious about it, which naturally attracted the attention of the Ministry of Magic.
The Ministry of Magic rejects, stops, and publicly questions this blatantly provocative behavior.
Regardless of how the events of that year are intended to be presented, it must have nothing to do with the Ministry of Magic, as this would damage the Ministry's image, so they do not want the film to be released.
They invoked the "Muggle Articles" law to try and restrict the film.
This matter even escalated to the Wizengamo public trial.
The result was unexpected by everyone.
The Ministry of Magic lost the case, and lost utterly, with no hope of a comeback whatsoever.
Amid the wizards' appeals, the official movie production team provided a reasonable explanation.
All the filming equipment used in the movie was made by wizards and has nothing to do with Muggles. Therefore, the law on the misuse of Muggle items is invalid against it. Since they are not Muggle products, how can there be any misuse?
It can only be said that the Ministry of Magic's defeat was not unjust.
With the Ministry of Magic as a stepping stone, the buzz exploded to its peak, and everyone became even more curious about the content of the Harry Potter movie.
As a result, the level of attention has risen to another level.
However, it's only January now, and there's still more than a month until the movie's official release. Many wizards are eagerly anticipating that day.
Ministry of Magic
Department of Magical Law Enforcement
As the Director of the Ministry of Magic, Amelia Bornes was conscientious and responsible, insisting that every wizard had the right to a fair trial. Therefore, she would carefully review the records of every case to find any unreasonable aspects. This attitude made her one of the last people to leave the Ministry of Magic almost every day.
When she came out of the office, the Ministry of Magic was almost empty, with only a few scattered lights faintly making out the road ahead.
The surroundings were quiet, with only the sound of shoes hitting the ground echoing in the long corridor, inevitably instilling a sense of fear.
However, this was already commonplace for Amelia.
"Ms. Burns, what time is it again tonight?"
A male voice suddenly rang out behind her, making Amelia's heart tighten, and she unconsciously gripped the wand in her sleeve.
It was a man dressed as a cleaner, holding a mop, who looked to be around fifty years old.
"Mr. Luke."
Upon seeing the person's appearance, Amelia's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, was finally at ease, and she slowly breathed a sigh of relief.
She recognized the man, Theodore Luke, who had been working at the Ministry of Magic for decades. He didn't have his own home; he lived and ate at the Ministry and was its doorman.
"I'm reviewing the case files a bit late, so I'm sorry to trouble you to stay open so late again today."
Amelia greeted the other person politely. Her gentle demeanor and consistent attitude towards everyone made her very popular within the Ministry of Magic. If Dumbledore hadn't suddenly announced his candidacy for Minister of Magic, she would likely have been the next Minister.
"You're too kind," Luke said with a smile and a bow. "It's all I should do."
"However, you should still take care of your health. Staying up so late every day and not getting enough rest will easily make you sick."
Hearing Luke's well-intentioned reminder, Amelia said, "Every case represents the future of every wizard, and I don't want them to be wrongfully imprisoned because of the Ministry of Magic's mistakes."
"You are so kind."
"This is my responsibility."
"."
After a brief chat, Amelia prepared to leave, bid farewell to old Luke, and set off on her way home.
Before she could take a few steps, she heard a dull thud behind her.
Old Luke, who had just been greeting him, was now lying stiffly on the ground.
"Luke!" Amelia called out tentatively to him.
Finding that the other party did not respond, he hurriedly returned.
Luke's breathing was steady; he must have fainted.
"What happened?"
Just then, a man came out of the room next door.
"Ms. Burns?!"
Looking up, Amelia recognized him immediately: "You're August Lukewood from the Department of Mysteries? I need help; Luke's in trouble."
"I'm coming right away," the man said, and quickly walked towards Amelia's direction.
Luke let out a slightly painful cry, which caught Amelia's attention.
In the brief moment that Amelia lowered her head, the man pulled a wand from his pocket.
A dark green light shot out silently, a very skillful silent spell. However, the man's supposedly flawless spell was precisely neutralized by an orange light.
Amelia's wand tip peeked out from beneath her large wizard robes.
"As expected of the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, his reaction is exceptionally fast."
The man, whom Amelia called August Lukewood, praised him, showing no sign of frustration at his failed ambush.
Amelia pointed her wand at the other person: "Why did you attack me?"
"Because someone wants to see you."
Another voice rang out, and a man with dark hair and a pale, distorted long face stepped out.
"Antonin Dolokhov!" Amelia called out upon seeing him.
She knew that face all too well; she had personally handled no fewer than ten cases involving him, almost all of which were related to murder.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he was extremely wicked.
Not only Antonin Dolokhov, but several other men wearing black hoods, whose faces were obscured, also emerged from behind him.
But that didn't matter anymore. The moment Amelia saw Antonin, she knew who these people were.
"You Death Eaters?!"
Seeing that their identities had been exposed, the Death Eaters were not in a hurry. In their view, the other party was just one person, while there were many of them, so capturing her would be an easy task.
"Lukewood, if you had just hit her directly, none of this would have happened."
One of the Death Eaters made a mocking remark, then looked at Amelia.
"Come with us obediently, and you'll suffer less."
His answer was a beam of orange light.
'Fainted and collapsed'
The orange spell sent the Death Eater flying, crashing heavily to the ground, his head lolling to the side as he lost consciousness.
Amelia killed a Death Eater instantly with just the simplest spell.
In terms of dueling skills, Amelia is better than many Aurors, even Rufus Scrimgeour, the head of the Auror office, is far inferior to her.
"idiot!"
Dolokhov spat, pulled out his wand, pointed it at Amelia, and gave orders to the remaining Death Eaters.
"Seize her! The master wants to interrogate her himself!"
