Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin
Chapter 372, Section 366: Are you interested in that location?
Chapter 372, page 366. You may be interested in that location.
"No, you can't do that."
The shrill voice echoed through the hall. The young wizards stared in disbelief at the scene before them. Professor Trelawney, the Divination Professor, stood in the middle of the hall, her glasses askew and her clothes disheveled as she sat on the floor. Beside her were two large trunks, one upside down, as if it had been thrown down the stairs.
Perhaps it's inappropriate to use the phrase "it seems like it was definitely thrown down the stairs."
Without a doubt, it was Umbridge who did it.
The pink toad, acting like a girl, swayed and swayed down the stairs, smiling at Professor Trelawney. However, the professor of divination didn't find the smile so friendly.
It could even be described as the smile of a devil.
"You...you can't fire me!" Professor Trelawney choked out, her voice trembling, her eyes bloodshot. "I...I've been here for sixteen years! Sixteen whole years! Hogwarts is my...my home!"
"To be precise, it was your former home."
Umbridge maintained her fake smile: "You didn't pass the Ministry of Magic's vetting process. We can't tolerate a fraudster as a Divination teacher."
"You're fired, but I'm a merciful person, so I'll give you an hour. Please don't make things difficult for us, otherwise we'll have no choice but to take coercive measures."
As she finished speaking, the two expressionless Aurors behind her each stepped forward.
Although most young wizards disliked Professor Trelawney, and even other professors disliked her eccentric personality, seeing her driven away by Umbridge inevitably evoked a sense of shared sorrow.
"Sybil!"
Professor McGonagall stepped out from the crowd. Ignoring Umbridge's warning look, the decisive Transfiguration professor went over and helped Professor Trelawney up.
He held her and gently comforted her, "It's okay, no one will kick you out."
"Nobody's here? Professor McGonagall, I think I heard correctly."
Umbridge stared coldly at Professor McGonagall, her voice venomous as she said, "Then who approved it? I have Minister Fudge here."
"it's me."
Dumbledore stepped out from the crowd and looked Umbridge straight in the eye.
"It's Professor Dumbledore," Umbridge said, showing no fear upon seeing him. "You've come at the right time. We're currently dealing with unqualified professors. According to the latest regulations of the Ministry of Magic's Education Ordinance, I am qualified to review professors and can dismiss those who are not qualified."
"The Ministry of Magic's latest regulations have not been approved by the Board of Governors."
Dumbledore interrupted Umbridge's long-winded explanation: "Therefore, these rules are not in effect now, and I am the Headmaster of Hogwarts. Only the Headmaster has the power to appoint and dismiss professors."
Umbridge glared venomously at Dumbledore, uttering harsh words: "Don't worry, don't worry, it will pass soon, and then your position as headmaster will also be revoked."
"Then you should wait until that day comes first."
Dumbledore paid no heed to Umbridge's gaze and turned to Professor McGonagall, saying, "Minerva, I need you to take Sybil back to rest."
Under Umbridge's venomous gaze, Professor McGonagall helped Professor Trelawney upstairs.
That night, in the principal's office.
"Are you just going to let that pink toad keep causing trouble like this?"
Dudley teased Fox with a bag of magical creature food.
As he amassed more and more magical creatures, his culinary skills became increasingly refined, to the point that even Fox, the phoenix, couldn't do without the food he prepared.
"And you haven't taken any action either?"
"Professor, I'm just a child, what can I do?"
Dali blinked at him.
Dumbledore stared speechlessly at the 'child' who was much taller than him and looked like a small mountain.
"Connelly has misunderstood. I don't want that position. I have no interest in power."
Dumbledore sighed, his tone quite helpless.
"Professor, sometimes running away is not a good solution."
Dudley shook his head, put the whole bag of 'rations' into Fox's den, found a place to sit down, and said: "The important thing is not whether you are really interested, but whether Fudge thinks you are interested."
"I think you could actually be interested in that location."
Dumbledore shook his head reflexively, about to speak, but Dudley beat him to it.
"Senior Tom has regained his body, and his magic power is gradually returning to its peak. He is also accompanied by a large number of Death Eaters."
"Your position as Minister of Magic and leading the Aurors against him is the best option."
"At worst, I can just resign after I've dealt with Tom's problem."
"Are you really not going to consider it?"
Dudley looked intently at Dumbledore.
If Dumbledore had become Minister for Magic, dealing with the Voldemorts would have been so much easier.
Dumbledore paused, then shook his head.
What happened back then made him really not want to get involved with power again, but what Dudley said wasn't without reason.
"Dali, I have other ideas, don't worry."
"You don't mean that organization you secretly formed, the Order of the Phoenix? To be honest, I don't have a high opinion of them."
Dudley said mercilessly.
"Please don't say that. More than a decade ago, they were the main force fighting against the Death Eaters."
"As you said, that was over a decade ago. As far as I know, most of the organization's elite members perished in the battles against the Death Eaters, like my poor aunt and uncle, and Neville's parents. After all this time, how many of the remaining members are still capable of being relied upon?"
Dudley shook his head. The Order of the Phoenix might have once been the main force in fighting the Death Eaters, but now…
"I heard you included thieves in that list."
Upon hearing this, Dumbledore immediately became serious and said, "Mundungus Fletcher is a trustworthy wizard."
"That's what you thought of Peter Pettigrew back then, wasn't it?"
Dumbledore:
Peter was one of the earliest members of the Order of the Phoenix. On the surface, he seemed more reliable than Mundungus Fletcher, although he proved to be unreliable as well.
As for Mundungus Fletcher, he was equally incompetent. Although he didn't directly side with Voldemort like Peter, he almost never did anything reliable in the books. His rush to deal with the stolen cauldron left Harry unprotected, leading to an attack by the Dementors. He also stole the Horcrux (a Horcrux) that Regulus had risked his life for and sold it. His escape indirectly caused Moody's death.
On the surface, it's better to have no one at all than to have this person.
I'm not trying to bash Dali, it's just that this thing is genuinely useless.
More trouble than they're worth.
Sometimes, a bad teammate is more terrifying than a formidable opponent.
