Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin
Chapter 354, Chapter 348: Don't you value the Black family's wealth?
Chapter 354, Chapter 348. Don't you value the Black family's wealth?
"Watch your step, Weasley boy. That ring represents Black as the head of the family."
Phineas shouted, referring to a large gold ring engraved with the Black family crest, which was rather tacky in both style and material.
However, it also clearly reveals that the Black family is very wealthy, as gold has always represented wealth. Judging from the occasional glimmer of light that appears around the name on the ring, it is likely a magical or alchemical item.
"Really? Then why throw something so important in the trash?"
Ron, hands on his hips, retorted without backing down.
"A garbage dump?"
This time it was Phineas's turn to be stunned. If he remembered correctly, such an important thing should be kept in the family head's room on the fifth floor.
"Yes, I found it in a hole under the cupboard."
Ron told the truth that it took him a lot of effort to get these things out of that hole.
"Who dares to abandon the most important heritage of the Black family?!"
Phineas usually spends his time either in the portraits at the Ministry of Magic or in the Hogwarts headmaster's office, so he has no idea what exactly happened at home. But he is clearly furious now, and even the nose in the portrait is crooked.
Harry pushed open the door to the next room and explained, "I think I heard Sirius say that he threw away a bunch of 'useless' things."
"That good-for-nothing! How could the Black family produce such a scoundrel?!"
Fortunately, Phineas was already dead, otherwise Sirius would have given him high blood pressure from anger.
If you look down on this family, you can get out and never come back. You swore to break with your family back then, saying you would never return, but after being imprisoned in Azkaban for more than ten years, you found yourself homeless. You shamelessly ran back to the Black family home and threw away the family's "legacy" like trash. What kind of nonsense is that?
Dursley!
Phineas shouted, as if he had made a very firm decision, "Put on that ring, and from this moment on you are the head of the Black family."
"Well"
Dudley was completely bewildered, wondering what was wrong with the old man: "Mr. Black, Sirius is the rightful heir of the Black family. A portrait cannot change the heir's opinion, even if you are an ancestor of the Black family."
"And he has already given all of this to Harry."
"That bastard doesn't deserve to inherit all of this!"
Phineas roared; he had never felt so angry.
"Don't you value the Black family's wealth?"
"Hmm, I don't think so."
He really didn't care about the old house. The castle he built next to Potter's old house was in a much better environment than this place. As for those dark magic items, he cared even less. The magic items he made himself were better than these.
The only things in the Black family that he found worthy of his attention were the books in his study, but unfortunately most of them were damaged, and it would take a great deal of effort and money to restore them all.
"The Black family is rich, very rich, all in Gringotts. I know where the key is. If you agree, it's all yours."
Phineas tried to lure him with money.
He believed that no one could resist the allure of money, and that was indeed true; however, he had targeted the wrong person.
They actually want to use a money offensive against Dudley?
Draco interjected, "How does the Black family's wealth compare to the Malfoys'?"
"The Black family was once richer than the Malfoys!"
Phineas said angrily, he was furious whenever the topic came up. It was all because of those good-for-nothing descendants. His Black family used to be the richest.
Malfoy? He can only be second.
"The richest man in the world, Malfoy, is a thing of the past. D is richer than our family now."
Phineas remained silent.
This student, who hadn't even graduated yet, was more outstanding than he had imagined.
"The Black family legacy cannot end in the hands of that unworthy descendant!"
Finally, he spoke in a hoarse voice.
"Actually, Harry is not bad either. Giving him Sirius Black wouldn't tarnish the Black family's reputation."
The Potter family is an old, pure-blooded family, and it certainly doesn't disgrace the Black family's reputation, but Phineas is still angry when he thinks that it was given to him by that unworthy descendant.
"What is this? Is it also a treasure of the Black family?"
Draco picked up the souvenir box that Ron had thrown on the ground.
He tried to open the box, but was surprised to find that he couldn't open it. Although he wasn't as strong as Harry and Neville, he was still quite strong.
"I don't know, I've never seen it before."
Phineas muttered under his breath.
"Don't touch that!"
A scream rang out from outside the door, and Kreacher instantly appeared in front of Draco, snatched the box away, and hugged it tightly to his chest.
"You disgusting, vile thieves, worse than sewer maggots, have ruined your master's things!"
That distinctive cursing sound rang out.
"Hey, you're calling us thieves?"
"Didn't Sirius throw this away?"
Ron tried to snatch the box, but Kreacher dodged it with a small-area Apparition, a spell that house-elves are very good at.
"That was something Master Regulus gave me before he died; no one has the right to touch it!"
Kreacher said sternly.
"Wait, you said Regulus is dead? How did he die?"
Phineas suddenly became agitated.
Compared to Sirius Black, both Mrs. Black and Phineas felt that Regulus was the most suitable heir to the Black family.
He suddenly disappeared back then, and no one knows where he went.
No one expected that the family's house-elf knew the truth.
"Kreacher promised Master Regulus he wouldn't tell! Kreacher disobeyed his orders!"
Kreacher went berserk, slamming his head against the floor repeatedly.
"Damn it! Kreacher deserves to die!"
A large patch of blood appeared on his head immediately.
"Stop!"
A spell struck Kreacher, stopping his self-harm.
"Kreacher, tell me everything you know about Regulus!"
Phineas's breathing became rapid; he wanted to know the cause of death of the Black family's direct descendants.
The others planned to leave the room at this point, since it was a matter concerning the Black family, and it was best not to know too much unless necessary. However, Kreacher's first words made them sit back down.
"At the age of 16, young Regulus joined the Dark Lord's group. A year later, he returned home excitedly and saw Kreacher. He told Kreacher that the Dark Lord needed a house-elf, and young Regulus recommended Kreacher."
