"What do you mean?"

Lucius didn't understand Dudley's words and asked tentatively.

"You need to be more loyal. You've endured so much for him all these years, preserving the Death Eaters' strength. Continue to do your best for him. Remember, you must do your best. Don't worry about Draco; he'll stay by my side. And don't worry about him suspecting you have a rebellious child. That's normal, just like Mr. Crouch's situation, isn't it?"

"Then become his most trusted subordinate."

Lucius paused for a moment upon hearing this, large beads of sweat rolling down his forehead, his face twitching slightly as he struggled with an intense internal conflict. Finally, as if making a great decision, he said, "I will regularly send you information about him, as long as you can protect Draco."

After speaking, he slumped into his chair, as if he had used up all his strength.

Lucius's meaning was clear: he was willing to be a spy as long as Draco could be protected. But being a spy was no easy task; a single misstep could lead to utter ruin, especially with a leader like Voldemort whose brain was prone to malfunctions.

"No, Mr. Lucius, it's not necessary."

"I think you may not have understood what I mean. All I need is for you to become his most trusted right-hand man, that's all."

He didn't want to convey a few messages.

Lucius sat in his chair, lost in thought. To be honest, it was certainly better not to be a spy, but he couldn't figure out what Dudley was up to.

"The food is good, thank you for your hospitality."

Dudley had already finished the entire bowl of beef, and after glancing at the completely bewildered Lucius, he continued.

"By the way, Mr. Lucius, I have a suggestion for you. I think you'd better go there today. My respected senior is rather suspicious and has a bad temper. If you go too late, he might question your loyalty."

"Let me think of my respected senior, Tom. He's in some drafty, run-down house in the suburbs of Newport, Wells. I think you should be able to find him."

"And here's another piece of news for you: he desperately needs help right now, more than ever."

Upon hearing this, Lucius's pupils contracted sharply. The address Dudley mentioned was the location of "that person," which was given to him by the Death Eaters who came to find him.

How did he know such confidential information?

The answer to this question came to Lucius the instant it occurred to him; no wonder he wasn't used as a spy.

"If you encounter any problems that you can't solve during this time, seek help from the Greengrass family. If they can't solve them either, then go to Hogwarts. Draco knows what to do."

"Yes, Master, Dobby has remembered."

Dobby leaned against the wall with his hands behind his back and answered obediently.

"Dobby." Lucius took a deep breath and looked at Dobby with an unprecedentedly serious gaze.

House-elves are trustworthy; as long as the contract is not broken, they will not betray their masters.

"If one day I ever want to harm Draco, you must take him and run away, as far away as possible, to find Dursley."

Dobby's eyes lit up slightly when he heard the name Dursley, but his expression turned to astonishment when he heard Lucius's next sentence.

"Mission accomplished, I grant you your freedom."

After finishing his sentence, Lucius ignored what Beedot was going to say, put on a black hooded cloak, hid his face in the shadows, and disappeared from the spot with crackling sounds in the air.

Soon after, Voldemort was overjoyed to see Lucius rush over as soon as he learned of his return. He needed such a loyal helper.

Moreover, Lucius brought him good news as soon as he arrived.

"Master, the current Minister of Magic, Fudge, and Dumbledore disagree. Although Fudge consults Dumbledore when he encounters problems he can't solve, he's actually very wary of that old madman."

"Your loyal servants' behavior further fueled Fudge's resentment towards Dumbledore, and he repeatedly stated in public that Dumbledore was forcing him to abdicate."

Voldemort said this, his opinion of Fudge plummeting to rock bottom, before turning to look at Lucius.

"Is it alright to entrust this matter to you, my loyal servant, Lucius?"

"It is my honor, Master."

Lucius’s respectful attitude pleased him greatly.

"Who is the current head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement?"

The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is the most powerful official besides the Minister of Magic. In theory, every Minister of Magic is selected from this position (exceptions exist, such as Fudge).

The director of the Auror Office under this department has the same status as other directors.

If the eldest brother is not a threat, then the second brother is the key. If possible, try to win him over to your side.

"Amelia Borns".

Lucius confessed honestly.

"The pure-blooded Borns family?"

Upon hearing the name, Voldemort's expression immediately darkened: "That family is full of fools. They could have had a brighter future by joining me, but they refused."

Voldemort praised her sincerely.

Controlling the Department of Magical Law Enforcement is equivalent to controlling half of the Ministry of Magic. If he could just abolish the Ministry of Magic, he could focus on dealing with Dumbledore.

Today is definitely Voldemort's happiest day in recent days. Having capable subordinates makes all the difference. Look at Lucius and then look at that idiot Wormtail.
