Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin

Chapter 33. Other people's children are always better.

The Dursleys had a wonderful month together. They got along very well, spending most of their time together on outings and enjoying their remaining time together, aside from their daily studies and training.

Although Hogwarts has holidays, this was, after all, the first time traveling far from home.

During this time, Dudley frequently visited Hermione's house to study with her, and of course, he would bring Harry along, forcing Harry to preview a lot of the textbook material. Hermione would occasionally visit Dudley at the Dursleys' house, which pleased Petunia greatly.

The two families would occasionally go fishing together, and their relationship became even closer because they attended the same school.

Of course, the news that Dudley had started his own company outside really startled the Dursleys.

Especially when she found out that the famous "Jerry" was actually her child, she didn't know how to express her feelings.

I thought my child was already excellent enough, but I never expected him to be this excellent.

However, their ability to accept change is truly remarkable. After all, their son and nephew are both going to become wizards, so starting another company isn't a big deal.

And so September 1st arrived.

This is the day Dudley and Harry are leaving.

"Did Dudley and Harry bring enough changes of clothes?"

"Dali, are you sure you want to bring those things?"

"Harry, remember to bring Hedwig's food. She eats the food from the white bag on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; the food from the green bag on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; and the food from the yellow bag on Sundays. Remember not to feed her too much, and remember to send me a letter when she runs out."

Vernon went to unpack their luggage and put it in the car, while Penny patiently reminded them of some things to be careful about, always adding a final note at the end.

"Lily used to be like this when she was in school."

Hedwig is the name of the owl that Harry owned.

"Okay, Mom."

"Okay, Aunt Penny."

Dudley and Harry nodded their heads like chickens pecking at rice.

It has to be said that Penny's owl food was very much to Hedwig's liking. According to Penny's recollection, the owls that Lily used to keep loved the food she made the most.

As a result, Hedwig gained a lot of weight in just over a month. If you were to ask who she's closest to in the family, her owner Harry would be second.

"It's amazing that wizards would take a train to school. I thought they would use some more magical methods, such as a giant pumpkin carriage pulled by countless sky horses or a pirate ship that can float in the air."

Vernon grumbled as he walked in. For the past month, Harry and Vernon had been forced to exercise by Dudley every day, and their bellies had shrunk considerably.

"It's almost time, we should set off. By the way, which platform is it?"

Harry thought for a moment and replied, "The train that departs from Platform 9¾ at King's Cross Station at 11:00."

"." Vernon was slightly taken aback: "A platform I've never heard of before, well, at least it has a bit of the mystique of the magical world."

King's Cross Station is about an hour's drive from the Dursleys' home.

As expected, the Grangers were found at the station entrance, and the two families agreed to enter the station together.

"This is platform nine, and that's platform ten. So where is platform nine and three-quarters?"

Vernon pointed to the plastic sign for platform nine and then to the plastic sign for platform ten.

"Was it enchanted like the Leaky Cauldron?"

Mr. Granger asked.

Just as everyone was wondering, Hermione spoke up.

"I read in 'A History of Hogwarts' that the entrance is at the intersection of Platforms 9 and 10."

He pointed to the second-to-last pillar, which was a short distance from platform ten.

"As expected of Hermione, she's so smart, she knows everything." Petunia looked at Hermione with a slightly doting gaze, liking her more and more as she looked at her, then glared at Dudley and Harry: "Look at our two boys, all they do is play instead of study."

Hermione's love of learning reminded her of her younger sister, Lily. Lily had also loved reading and was very studious, achieving excellent grades. Even after going to Hogwarts, the two sisters' relationship wasn't initially that bad. If it weren't for an unpleasant meeting, their families would likely have become even closer.

It's all James's fault for leading her astray.

Dudley felt he was being unfairly targeted, as he was clearly no less hardworking than Hermione and always managed to outdo her.

Maybe this is what other people's children are like.

Anyway, everything from other people's places is better.

"Dullie, you're a boy and so strong, don't you know how to help Hermione with some of her luggage? Young man, show some gentlemanly manners."

Penny, somewhat exasperated, hurled her words at Dudley as she piled Hermione's luggage, piece by piece, onto Dudley's cart. She concluded by adding, "Take good care of Hermione at school. Don't bully her, and make sure no one else bullies her."

Hermione blushed deeply, lowered her head, whispered goodbye to her parents, and then pushed her cart toward the Nine and Three-Quarters Pillar, disappearing into it. Dudley and Harry followed closely behind, each pushing their own cart.

Watching the three children disappear from sight, Penny remarked with a touch of emotion, "Hermione is such a quiet child."

If Dudley knew, he would definitely argue loudly that Hermione loves reading, but she is not quiet at all.

"Wow, Dali is the real deal! He's excellent in both academics and sports."

"Hehehe" x2

The two mothers praised each other, for they always felt that other people's children were better.

The father's side was much more direct.

"Hey Wendell, wanna grab a drink? How about the Leaky Cauldron?"

"The drinks at Leaky Cauldron are unique, but they're a bit too weak. I know a new bar where the drinks are much stronger."

"Then what are you waiting for?"

The two families agreed to leave the station together.

On the other side, after successfully passing through the stone pillars, Dudley felt that the surrounding environment had become much more open. The narrow train platform had become much wider, and a deep red steam locomotive, completely different from ordinary trains, was parked next to the platform. The train sign read "Hogwarts Express" in large letters.

The once sparsely populated platforms 9 and 10 were now packed with people dressed in clothing similar to those in Diagon Alley. Thick smoke from steam locomotives swirled above the chattering crowd, and various kinds of cats roamed among them, with the occasional piercing hoot of an owl.

It's obvious that these are all students going to Hogwarts.

Dudley's journey to Hogwarts is about to begin.
