Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin
Chapter 299, Section 297: Ron: Our Home Has Been Raided
Chapter 299, Section 297: Ron: Our Home Has Been Raided
Knowing where Voldemort was hiding, Dudley and his companions had no intention of searching for him.
Because that's meaningless.
Even if you kill this dying Voldemort, another one will soon emerge. This is the nature of Horcruxes; as long as there is one Horcrux, its owner can be reborn infinitely through it.
Simply killing Voldemort doesn't make much sense.
It was really fun.
Following the plan devised by the group, Moody began to play himself, except that the person imprisoned in the box was replaced by Barty Jr.
The weather is getting colder every day, and Christmas Eve is getting closer and closer.
In the end, Harry found Cho Chang and wanted to invite her to be his dance partner.
When Cho Chang saw Harry, he was on edge, fearing that something strange might happen.
Fortunately, nothing unexpected happened before Harry left.
As for the dance partner, unsurprisingly, he was rejected.
Ron wanted to comfort Harry when he learned about this, but the latter didn't care. He had only invited Cho Chang so that he wouldn't have any regrets, and he wouldn't regret it no matter what the outcome was.
Don't underestimate Harry's popularity at Hogwarts.
In just one week, Harry has turned down at least twenty invitations to the ball from young witches.
Ron, on the other hand, never got invited to a ball, let alone by the little witch.
Although the processes are different, the result is the same: neither of them currently has a dance partner.
"We can't exactly go up and dance, can we?"
Harry rejected Ron's proposal both mentally and physically.
"Ron, a man can't, or at least shouldn't."
Ron's gaze then passed over Harry and landed on one side of the Gryffindor common room.
"Hey, Lavender."
Ron suddenly shouted towards that spot.
Lavender Brown, a cheerful Gryffindor girl who enjoys Divination, was chatting with her friend Parvati Petil by the fire when she heard Ron's call and looked over.
"What happened?" Lavender shouted back.
Would you like to come to the dance with me?
"good!"
Harry stared dumbfounded at their conversation, his mind filled with questions.
So Ron found a dance partner. Harry was left all alone without one.
"Harry, what's wrong?"
Just as Harry was lamenting his friend's lack of loyalty, a clear voice rang out behind him.
Looking up, he saw the Weasleys' signature bright red hair, and beneath their delicate features (at least that's what Harry thought), a pair of large, watery eyes were gazing at him with concern—this was Ron's sister, Ginny.
"I'm worried because I can't find a dance partner for the ball."
Harry sighed and told the truth.
On the other side, Ginny seemed to have mustered up her courage and whispered to Harry in a barely audible voice, "Would you like to invite me to come along?"
Looking at the sparse freckles on the other person's face, visible due to shyness, Harry suddenly felt an urge to invite them: "Is it okay? I mean, you don't mind that I'm only inviting you because I can't find a dance partner?"
Ginny smiled happily when she heard that it wasn't a rejection.
"Of course not, I heard that you turned down twenty beautiful girls' invitations in a single week, Harry."
Hehehe
The boy who survived also inexplicably found a dance partner.
Hopefully Ron won't be upset when he finds out. In the blink of an eye, his house has been robbed, and it seems his only sister is about to be kidnapped by her best brother.
On Christmas Eve, the ball is about to begin.
Dudley had changed into a custom-made suit and was standing by the stairs leading to the ball.
"Oh, isn't this Mr. Dursley? I think you should be spending this time with your dance partner, since you'll be going on stage soon."
A slightly sarcastic voice rang out; there was only one person in the entire Hogwarts who dared to speak to Dudley like that.
Unsurprisingly, it was Madison Roberts Flint, the man who immediately clashed with Fleur upon their first meeting.
Dali didn't speak, but stared at her for a while.
Anyone else would feel uneasy being stared at like that by Dudley, but Roberts didn't seem uncomfortable at all.
"What? Is there something on my face?"
"You're not wearing a formal dress; no one invited you?"
The prom was only for fourth-year students, and since Roberts was only a third-year student, she couldn't attend without an invitation.
"How could that be? I just don't think much of it."
Roberts looked arrogant, unconsciously puffing out her chest and revealing her impressive cleavage.
Despite being only a third grader, he is more developed than many sixth or seventh graders.
Dudley thought to himself in admiration, but while he was sizing up others, they were also sizing him up.
Roberts' gaze returned to Dudley's muscular chest, which was stretched taut by the dress because of its enormous size, as if it might burst at any moment. As if she had thought of something, her eyes began to flicker, and the veins on the back of her hand throbbed slightly.
"But if it's you, I can."
"Sorry to keep you waiting."
He was abruptly interrupted before he could finish speaking.
Roberts glared at her with displeasure, then she was stunned. When did Hogwarts get such a beautiful woman?
Standing before her was a young woman whose looks were no less striking than hers, and whose elegance was even superior. She wore a flowing robe made of light purple-blue fabric, and under the light, she looked like a fairy who had stepped out of a painting.
"Granger?!" Roberts asked, somewhat uncertainly.
In her memory, Hermione's signature messy hair had disappeared, replaced by smooth and shiny long hair, tied into an elegant bun at the back of her head.
"How is it, Dudley? Is it good?"
Hermione walked straight past Roberts and stood in front of Dudley.
"You look beautiful, you're beautiful all the time."
Since Hermione appeared, Dudley's gaze had never left her, which pleased Hermione greatly. Hearing his lavish praise, she was overjoyed.
Dudley wanted to pat Hermione's head, but she had her hair up in a bun, so he couldn't stroke it like before.
"But I still think your previous look was better."
This is a typical straight man's statement. If other girls heard Daddy's comments, they would have already lost their temper. They spent 3 or 4 hours working hard on their hair and styling, and all you do is say that their previous look was better?
Hermione is no ordinary person; rather than being fortunate enough to painstakingly fix her appearance, she cares more about Dudley's opinion.
She put on makeup solely for Dali, not for anyone else.
"Then I'll be fully recovered tomorrow."
"Um."
Roberts, standing to the side, glanced at Hermione and then at Dudley, and suddenly felt like she was superfluous.
