Chapter 276, Section 274: Dudley's Strange Taste

In the early 12th century, a Christian wizard claimed that Fiendfire was not a fire from the human world, but a demonic flame from hell. Although most wizards did not believe in Christ or God, they agreed with his view, as the characteristics of Fiendfire did not seem to come from this world.

If this Christian wizard had merely articulated this viewpoint, he would never have been recorded in history. He dedicated his life to the study of Fiendfire and, on the eve of his death, invented and created a counter-curse that could suppress the Fiendfire spell.

This curse is called—Flame Returns to Annihilation.

He knew perfectly well that this guy named Dursley was more talented than Potter.

Whether the room burns down or not doesn't matter, since it belongs to Hogwarts anyway, but the chest can't be damaged; it concerns the future.

Just as Moody had predicted, Dudley's Fiendfyre was several sizes larger than Harry's. If Harry's Fiendfyre started out the size of a fist, then Dudley's Fiendfyre was the size of a giant iron pot.

If a Fiendish Flame of this magnitude were to erupt in a classroom or dormitory, it might actually set Hogwarts on fire.

Seeing that Dudley and Harry had successfully summoned the demonic flame, Moody summoned the Fiendfyre spell in front of them, beginning the second phase of the lesson.

"Brother D, what is this sheet metal thing?"

Ron pointed to the red and yellow can of food that Dudley was holding and asked.

"This one?"

Dudley shook the can in his hand: "This is good stuff, a very delicious German dish."

"It's called canned herring."

"Would you like to try some?"

Stargazing pie is not actually a bizarre English dish. Its exact origin is unknown, but the English do say they have never eaten it.
