Chapter 23. Father's essence and mother's blood, cannot be discarded! (Seeking votes)
Dudley hadn't expected Hagrid to ambush him, and quickly dodged.
But it was still a step too late.
They avoided it, but didn't completely avoid it.
The red beam still struck Dudley, or more precisely, it struck his firm, upright buttocks.
Stereotypes can be deadly.
Under no circumstances should a person's behavior be judged solely based on their work, because reality may differ from the descriptions in the work.
For example, Rubeus Hagrid, who ambushed Dudley.
In Dudley's mind, Hagrid was a kind and easy-going honest man, so after Dudley righteously knocked Hagrid's wand away, he did not take any further action.
You know elephants, right? In movies and TV shows, they're often portrayed as gentle and intelligent.
In fact, when these creatures go berserk during their mating season, they are incredibly terrifying. They attack without reason or warning, and can crush and kill rhinos and bison. Every year, a considerable number of humans are killed by elephants that suddenly go berserk. They will use their long trunks to lift people up and slam them to the ground, then trample them to death.
Don't say things like "Why would it attack you if you didn't provoke it?" or "Just avoid its heat cycle." That's the same kind of nonsense as being bullied in school and told it takes two to tango. Ordinary people simply can't tell if an elephant is in heat.
Perhaps this analogy is inappropriate, but Hagrid is very simple-minded, so simple-minded that he might subconsciously do things that are unexpected.
This was the first lesson reality taught Dudley.
Humans are complex beings.
At specific times and places, they may sometimes do things in ways that surprise you.
Don't judge a person's threat to you based on impressions alone.
Dudley's pants suddenly burst open, and a tail visibly grew from his tailbone—a curly, slender pig tail.
It just sat there on Dudley's butt, swaying from side to side, looking quite comical.
Without a doubt, this is a transformation curse.
Fortunately, it was an incomplete and imperfect Transfiguration spell; otherwise, it wouldn't have grown a tail, but rather turned into a pig.
"Oh my God!"
Petunia and Vernon screamed at the same time. Harry felt his aunt swaying as if she was about to faint, so he quickly went over to support her.
"No martial ethics?"
The moment Dudley saw that tiny tuft of pig tail, his pupils contracted sharply, his cheeks flushed crimson, his heart began to race, his muscles tensed, and a fire seemed to burn within him. He felt energy surging through his body, and anger instantly filled his chest, making it almost impossible for him to control his emotions.
It's not just anger, it's also fear!
The anger stemmed from the other party's sneak attack, and the fear came from almost turning into a pig.
Having read many books on magic, Dudley knew that the Transfiguration Charm was actually a very dangerous magical art, capable of causing unimaginable harm to the spellcaster. Some wizards had been crushed to death by the cows they themselves had created, while others had permanently transformed themselves into animals due to failed spells.
One must maintain a sense of awe towards any spell; this is an essential requirement for any spellcaster.
He didn't know how to brew the potion to restore the Transfiguration Charm.
He would never ask the other party to lift the curse.
He wanted to remember this incident with his body and constantly remind himself of it.
This isn't some fairytale world from children's literature; it's not that idyllic. This is reality. It's the real world where "if you're killed, you die!"
Then Dudley did something that surprised everyone present.
He roared, grabbed the still-wagging tail, and with a fierce determination, pulled with all his might. Instantly, blood gushed from his buttocks, and crimson blood trickled down his thighs, staining most of his pants.
The tail, along with a small piece of flesh, was torn off, and the flesh and tail were put into its mouth and swallowed in one gulp.
This move shocked the Dursleys and Harry, as well as Hagrid, who had not expected Dudley's reaction to be so strong.
The silence was eerily quiet for a moment.
The only light in the room came from the flickering firewood in the fireplace, illuminating Dudley's face. His once chubby face was now angular, veins bulging like coiled dragons. In the darkness, his eyes were wide open, emitting a ghostly glow, like a cat's eyes. His mouth was half-open, revealing two rows of white teeth stained with a few drops of blood, and a thin mist of white smoke escaped from between them, sending chills down one's spine. The room was quiet, save for the faint crackling of the firewood and Dudley's heavy breathing, as if countless tiny mice were scurrying about inside, sending shivers down one's spine.
Its appearance was like a demon crawling out of the deepest hell.
Harry suddenly shuddered. He'd only seen Dudley like this once before, and only once, on the night he rescued him from human traffickers.
Dudley arrived.
Feared by countless thugs, he was an indelible shadow in the hearts of all human traffickers throughout Surrey.
Dudley the Ghost!
Harry knew Dudley was really angry.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."
Hagrid waved his hands excitedly, ignoring the injury on his shoulder.
He didn't know why he had attacked Dudley so impulsively. He just wanted to teach the kid a lesson so he wouldn't stop him from taking Harry away and completing the task Dumbledore had given him. He never thought he would hurt the other guy.
It might have been just a subconscious act, but that's no longer important.
With a gurgling sound in his throat, Dudley moved in the next second. He was so fast that Vernon and Penny only felt a gust of wind pass by and didn't even see him clearly before he was already in front of Hagrid.
He delivered a straight punch right to Hagrid's chest!
LV3 Boxing!
Hagrid was caught off guard and was suddenly punched to the ground by Dudley.
It was like a small mountain collapsing, shaking the dilapidated little house.
Dudley immediately left the spot after landing a successful strike.
As expected of a half-giant, its physical defense is ridiculously high.
Even with the added power of his skill, a full-force punch only caused Hagrid to fall to the ground. Dudley's right fist, on the other hand, was jolted and felt a dull ache, as if he had hit a steel plate.
If it were an ordinary person, Dudley was confident he could kill them with a single blow.
But Dudley's attack was far from over.
Hagrid had just gotten up from the ground when Dudley's eerie voice came from behind him.
"Are you ready? I'm coming!"
The menacing voice startled Hagrid, and then a sharp pain shot through his right hand, causing him to immediately release his grip on the little red umbrella.
This time, the little red umbrella didn't just fall to the ground; Dali picked it up and threw it far away.
First, disable your wand.
Without those annoying spells, we can continue the fight now.
Dali's eyes, which gleamed with a ghostly blue light like those of a demon, were filled with excitement.
Girls and bosses, let's just do it!!
