Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin

Chapter 226, Section 224: Put Away Your Arrogance, Prisoner of Azkaban

"Wait, Dursley, don't panic. I think there must be some misunderstanding here," Lupin said quickly.

He acted instinctively just now; to be honest, he had great faith in Sirius.

Lupin had always felt that something was amiss about what happened back then. Sirius's betrayal was too unbelievable and caught everyone off guard. Having spent so much time with Sirius, he couldn't believe that his best friend would betray a friend, betray James, and even give it to Voldemort.

However, his questioning was meaningless.

He was a werewolf, a werewolf who was stigmatized by the wizarding world. The Ministry of Magic would never listen to his opinions. If he dared to speak to Sirius Black, the Ministry of Magic would most likely consider him an accomplice and imprison him in Azkaban as well.

The key point is that Voldemort did indeed have a force composed of werewolves under his command.

"Sirius, you'd better explain yourself."

Despite Lupin's urging, Sirius remained unhurried. He looked at Harry for a while before saying, "You and James, your father, look so alike."

"So you killed him?" Harry's tone was calmer than I had expected.

Sirius Black shook his head with a bitter smile: "I don't deny it. It was indeed me who ruined James. It was indeed because of me that he died."

"But what if you knew the whole story."

Sirius Black still didn't get straight to the point.

"The truth is you killed him, and now you're trying to kill me."

Harry interrupted, his voice gradually turning cold.

Lupin's face turned green when he heard Sirius and Harry's conversation.

What is this guy doing?

Why can't you just say it all at once? Why do you have to be a riddle-maker here?

He can't even say "It wasn't me who harmed your parents"?

Does he think he's got it all figured out?

Arrogance, recklessness, and haughtiness—he couldn't shake off this old habit even after so many years in Azkaban.

"Professor Lupin, are you sure you want to side with this fugitive?"

Dali looked at Lupin calmly.

He spoke again, catching Sirius's attention. Only then did Sirius realize his surname: "Dursley? I remember now. You're the son of that fat man Lily married? Looks like you're a wizard now. Which house are you in? Hufflepuff?"

"In Slytherin, you were exactly as my mother described you: vulgar, rude, and ill-mannered."

After Lily graduated, she introduced Penny, Vernon, James, and Sirius to each other, but it was an unpleasant meeting that caused a great deal of friction between them. Lily and Penny broke off their friendship completely because of this incident and never spoke to each other again.

In their youth, James and Sirius were rather unconventional. In the Dursleys' eyes, their behavior made them seem like good-for-nothing rascals and idle street thugs.

Penny, as the older sister, was naturally worried. Vernon, as the brother-in-law, also felt he should do something.

Then, unsurprisingly, he was taught a lesson by the two wizards.

Snape was targeted by these people even at school, let alone Vernon, who was just an ordinary person.

"Oh, Slytherin." Sirius's disgust intensified upon hearing that it was Slytherin: "A den of criminals, you and your pig-like father are just as detestable to me."

Upon hearing this, Lu Ping knew he was in trouble.

Sure enough, a spell struck Sirius, sending him flying and crashing into the wall.

"You are not allowed to insult my uncle, you damned criminal."

Harry said with a grim expression and a very cold tone.

"Disarm me!" x2

Hermione and Lupin cast their spells simultaneously, and the two spells canceled each other out.

"Wait a minute, Sirius didn't mean it!" Lupin shouted quickly.

"Does that mean you can insult someone's parents without thinking? Besides, Slytherin is a gathering place for villains? You probably don't know that the first recorded dark wizard in the history of Hogwarts was from Gryffindor."

"Put away your arrogance, Mr. Prisoner of Azkaban."

Dudley stood up from his seat, his explosive power and bulging muscles putting immense pressure on Lupin and Sirius.

Sirius admitted that he felt a little intimidated the moment his gaze met Dawson's.

"I originally wanted you to explain it yourself, but your stupidity has deeply disappointed me."

I gave you a chance to explain, but you were useless!

Dudley's gaze swept over Sirius, and he said seriously, word by word, "You are not qualified to be my brother's godfather."

"You know?" Sirius was taken aback.

Dudley ignored him and said to Harry, "Harry, it wasn't this fool who betrayed Aunt Lily, but someone else. But Aunt Lily did die because of this idiot."

"Voldemort desperately wanted to kill Aunt Lily and the others, but with the protection of the Faithful Charm, as long as the Keeper of the Secret didn't reveal it, Voldemort would never find the location of Potter's old house. And that original Keeper of the Secret was this prisoner."

"If things had just dragged on like this, nothing would have happened."

"But this big idiot wanted to play a trick on us, cleverly changing the liaison. In his mind, even if Voldemort and his cronies captured him, they wouldn't be able to find Aunt Lily and the others. What a 'genius' idea! I bet it was the best plan you came up with, using your brain that's barely bigger than an amoeba, after racking your brains, wasn't it?"

Dudley looked at Sirius with a cold smile.

"As expected, the new informant betrayed Voldemort."

"Mr. Prisoner, it's no exaggeration to say that you are the murderer who killed Aunt Lily and the others."

Sirius's arrogance killed his best friend and caused Harry to lose his parents.

Although he was not the direct killer, he was an indirect killer; everything started because of him.

After Dudley revealed the reason, Sirius knelt on the ground and blamed himself, saying, "Yes, it's all my fault. I killed James and the others."

"But why? How do you know all this?"

Dali's description sounded as if he had witnessed it firsthand, yet he couldn't possibly have seen it.

"Of course, it's because I caught the leaker."

Sirius was stunned for a moment, then his face lit up with wild joy, and he pounced on Dudley like a madman.

"Give him to me! Give him to me!"

"Sirius, no!" Lupin tried to stop him, but it was too late.

Before Sirius could even touch Dudley's body, he was pinned to the ground by a large wooden hand.

"I think this will make you behave, Mr. Prisoner of Azkaban."

Dali didn't even bother to look at him.

This guy was the biggest failure as a friend, godfather, and even as a child.

"Harry".

Dudley flicked his sleeve, and a tightly bound rat fell out—Ron's pet rat, Scabbers. He then cast a spell on it, and the rat rapidly grew larger, revealing an ugly man before everyone's eyes.

Of course, it was still tightly bound, and the vines grew larger as it grew.

"His name is Peter Pettigrew," Dudley kicked the man, whose body shrunk like a boiled shrimp. The intense pain jolted Peter awake from his unconsciousness. "He's the one who killed Aunt Lily, and he killed your parents."

"Now, you can do whatever you want to him."
