Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin

Chapter 190 188 Fudge: Mr. Dursley is right

Chapter 190, Chapter 188. Fudge: Mr. Dursley is right.

Fudge's expression was somewhat uncertain; he was somewhat concerned about the people behind Dudley, namely the Caro family, Dudley's staunch supporters.

Despite their unassuming nature, the Carroll family is actually more difficult to deal with than the Malfoy family.

If it weren't for a few idiots, the blow dealt when the mysterious man fell from power, and the fact that the previous head of the Carlo family was a good-for-nothing who mismanaged the business and lost many assets, it would have been fine.

Even so, his family was still on par with the Malfoys.

In reality, Dudley had no one behind him but himself.

"Minister, Porter"

Fudge gritted his teeth. So be it if he offended the Caro family; Harry was the most important thing right now.

"Dursley, I'll say it again, Potter has to come with us today, even if we have to force him."

The Aurors understood Fudge's words this time. They exchanged glances and slowly raised their wands, pointing them at Dudley and the others, but they conveniently ignored Draco.

You have five seconds to consider the consequences.

Dudley said calmly, remaining seated and motionless.

Five seconds later, a spell, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, struck the Aurors' wrists with unparalleled precision. Before they could even react, their wands flew out of their hands.

"Minister, be careful, there are enemies!"

"It might be Sirius Black!"

The Ministry of Magic staff member who was with Fudge screamed, which startled Fudge so much that he hid under the table, and then Fudge followed him under the table.

The other Aurors immediately tensed up, hurriedly picking up their wands from the ground, some even grabbing the wrong ones in their nervousness, creating chaos.

"Useless. Even more useless than the ironwood bushes I planted around the perimeter of my yard."

Dudley looked at the group of Ministry of Magic members, who resembled clowns, with disdain.

"The Aurors are not the same Aurors they used to be."

The elite among wizards? Perhaps.

Only 13 years had passed since the First Wizarding War and the fall of that wizard. Truly outstanding Aurors either died in battles against Voldemort and the Death Eaters, or, like the Longbottoms, were confined to St. Mungo's Hospital.

Moody was one of the few remaining Aurors from that battle, but even so, he was covered in wounds, with almost no part of him intact.

Need I say more about what kind of Aurors are left in the Ministry of Magic?

What level of skill can their apprentices possibly achieve?

"No enemies," Dudley said calmly, tapping the table lightly with his fingertips. "I hate it when people point wands at me. That was just a small punishment. There won't be a next time."

As Dudley finished speaking, two figures appeared behind him: a cleft-lipped old witch with a large, shriveled nose and a bald old wizard with a serious expression, just like villains in a fairy tale.

That was Pipilu and Luxixi.

The powerful aura emanating from the two made the Aurors hesitant to make any rash moves.

A single spell knocked away several Auror wands; if they wanted to attack them...

The young Aurors all swallowed hard.

Seeing that it wasn't Sirius and that he was truly alright, Fudge shakily crawled out from under the table again. He first glared fiercely at the Ministry of Magic staff member who had spoken out of turn, then fixed his gaze on the two old wizards: "Who are they?"

"The butler here."

Dali said casually, his tone still indifferent.

"They just attacked the Aurors."

Fudge's body was still trembling slightly, and he was clearly not yet recovered. His attitude was not as tough as before.

He somewhat regretted not having Rufus Scrimgeour come along, as he was one of the few capable wizards in the Ministry of Magic.

Then Fudge saw Dalny's sapphire-blue eyes, and felt as if those eyes could see right through him, full of mockery.

Then he heard Dudley speak in the tone of recounting a trivial matter.

"Shocking! A high-ranking official in the Ministry of Magic actually allowed an Auror to point his wand at underage wizards, including the wizarding hero Harry Potter. Is this a distortion of humanity or a moral decay? I think the Daily Prophet would love to hear this news."

Dali took out a crystal ball and held it in his hand, playing with it happily.

As Dudley recounted the story, especially upon seeing the crystal ball in Dudley's hand, Fudge's eyelids twitched violently, and a deep sorrow settled on his wrinkled and creased face.

Those crystal balls could record images, just like a Muggle camera.

If this news gets out, he will receive a deluge of complaints throughout the Ministry of Magic, and his approval rating will plummet.

Then he's finished.

"Mr. Dursley, you can't do this."

Although Fudge wasn't very capable, he was quite good at changing his tune, and his attitude immediately softened.

"I also think this is not good for Mr. Fudge, so I think we should talk and clear up the misunderstanding."

"Yes, yes, it's all a misunderstanding, it's all a misunderstanding, Mr. Dursley, you're right." Fudge kept wiping away his sweat, completely losing the imposing demeanor he had just displayed as Minister of Magic, nodding incessantly like a chicken pecking at rice.

The best way to deal with a mediocre person like Fudge is to seize control of his throat and take the reins.

Dudley and Fudge had a private chat for a while. When they came out, Fudge was soaking wet, as if he had been pulled out of the water.

"Mr. Dursley, it's getting late, and I think I should leave so as not to disturb your rest."

Fudge's attitude made a complete 180-degree turn, and he refused to mention taking Harry away or attacking the Aurors.

Even when he first became Minister of Magic and sought advice from Dumbledore, he was never this respectful.

The Aurors looked at each other, unsure of what to say, and of course, dared not say anything.

"Take care, I won't see you off."

"You should get some rest, get some rest."

As Fudge was leaving, Dudley suddenly said, "I just remembered something. This morning, besides magpies, I also heard crows cawing."

"Mr. Dursley, this place is very nice."

Fudge still didn't understand the underlying meaning and foolishly offered his compliments.

After the others left, Dudley said to Draco, who was standing to the side.

"Draco, Victor Wilkes, the eldest son of the Wilkes family, isn't he planning to follow in his father's footsteps and work in the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic?"

"Tell him it's all arranged."

"And Dormammu Gargson of the Gargson family, the Department of Magical Law Enforcement would welcome him to work there."

"Tell Eric Strange that the Department of Magical Sports is a good place."

These are all Slytherins who graduated in the last two years but haven't found suitable jobs.

Of course, Dudley didn't give nothing, but compared to what he gained, he only paid a tiny fraction of Galleons.

The great sage Xun once said, "Radishes and sticks, they'll never go out of style."

So having a mediocre Minister of Magic is, in a way, a good thing.
