Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin

Chapter 166, Question 164: Was it intentional or accidental?

Chapter 166, Question 164: Did you do it on purpose, or accidentally?

A calm and gentle voice rang out, and Gandhi Dumbledore, dressed in a snow-white robe, appeared in the headmaster's office at some point.

Please forgive Dudley for his poor eyesight; he almost misread it.

They look so alike, but unfortunately they are not the same person.

Fox, hearing Dumbledore making fun of him, poked his head out and yelled at him in annoyance before continuing to eat.

"It seems I've returned just in time." Dumbledore approached. "It seems you've resolved the issue."

Dudley stared at Dumbledore's white robes and said, "Professor, this coincidence is so coincidental, I really suspect you did it on purpose."

If you're going to make your own Lord of the Rings movie series, you could ask Old Deng to make a cameo appearance.

"How could I possibly watch my students take such a risk?"

Dumbledore winked at Dudley as he spoke, but no matter how you looked at it, it was utterly unconvincing.

Seeing Dudley staring at him, Dumbledore said helplessly, "I've left you with a powerful helper."

Dudley nodded: "Fox is indeed a very good helper."

"Hey."

A disgruntled voice broke in, and the Sorting Hat, placed on the cabinet, spoke with a frown—if it really was a frown, not a wrinkle.

"I thought you had a good helper here, but you didn't bring me with you at all."

Dumbledore left Dudley two items: Fawkes and the Gryffindor sword from the Sorting Hat. However, Dudley never wore the Sorting Hat, nor did he use the Gryffindor sword.

That great sword was magnificent, but unfortunately, Dudley didn't know how to use it.

The only skill he lacks is swordsmanship; he genuinely hasn't learned any of it.

A thought suddenly flashed through Dudley's mind: Why does it feel like Old Dumbledore arranged a whole new storyline for me that originally belonged to Harry?

"What a pity."

Dumbledore said, sitting down in a chair, "So who's the real culprit?"

"Senior Tom and his basilisk pet."

"You found out?"

When Dudley mentioned Tom, Dumbledore asked.

Dudley ran his fingertips across the principal's desk and snapped his fingers with his other hand.

Several letters emerge, forming a name, then are scrambled and recombined.

Tom Riddle—I am Voldemort.

"Fantastic staffless spellcasting."

Dumbledore praised him, attributing it to Dudley's unique spellcasting technique.

Then, looking at Dali, he said, "Knowing his identity, aren't you afraid?"

Upon hearing this, Dali raised an eyebrow slightly, feeling that the tone was a test.

"He died at the height of his power at Harry's hands. I beat him back in my first year. What's so scary about him now that he's just barely hanging on?"

Just based on Harry's relationship with Voldemort, Dudley was destined to be on the opposite side of him.

With his remnant soul destroyed, one Horcrux destroyed, and another Horcrux captured, Voldemort is now unusually weak.

Unless he seizes the opportunity to be reborn, there's nothing to be afraid of.

"You really should have come to Gryffindor."

Courage is a prerequisite for Gryffindor, and Dudley is full of courage (muscle).

"Actually, Slytherin isn't so bad." Dudley looked at Dumbledore seriously. "They are also members of Hogwarts, part of the big family."

If someone goes astray, you have to make them correct it. If they don't, you have to use a physical method to correct them.

Why can't their worship of interests, lineage, conspiracy, and scheming be corrected to valuing honor, fairness, manners, and pride?

Ignoring it is a wrong choice no matter how you look at it.

If even Dumbledore, the headmaster, gives up, then who will persevere?

"You are right," Dumbledore smiled.

Dudley resembles that person, but not entirely.

"Professor Dumbledore, I need your help with something." Dudley said, pulling a Ravenclaw tiara from his pouch. "This is Tom, and he seems to have some peculiar fetish for things left behind by Lady Rowena. Do you have a way to separate them?"

Dudley still really wanted the complete Ravenclaw tiara.

No one ever complains about having too many amazing magical items; even if you don't use them, they look nice just to keep them.

"Horoscope."

Dumbledore's expression turned slightly serious as he noticed the wisps of black energy emanating from the crown.

Horcruxes are extremely evil things. To create one, one must kill a person and split one's own soul.

In theory, it is possible to create an unlimited number of Horcruxes; as long as there is one Horcrux, one can be reborn.

It sounds somewhat similar to the Lich King's Box, but it's not the same.

Dumbledore had long suspected that Voldemort was making Horcruxes, but he had no evidence until he saw the diadem and confirmed the news.

After staring at the crown for a long time, Dumbledore sighed helplessly, "There's nothing I can do."

Voldemort's soul fragments were already firmly attached to the crown, making it impossible to simply separate the soul without damaging the crown.

Perhaps a top alchemist could do it, but unfortunately, the greatest alchemist of this century plus the last century plus the last century plus the previous century has passed away. Perhaps he could have a way.

"What a pity, such a treasure has to be destroyed."

Hearing that Dumbledore was also helpless, Dudley said regretfully.

He decisively drew a transmutation circle, placed the crown inside, and clasped his hands together to activate it with all his might.

A red glow appeared.

Accompanied by Voldemort's familiar scream, the diadem transformed into a Philosopher's Stone, a magical crystal, an emerald (diadem material), a lump of metal (diadem material), and some other miscellaneous items (diadem material).

"This ability is really useful."

Dumbledore sighed again.

Once something is made into a Horcrux, even if it was just an ordinary object before it was made, it is not so easy to destroy. Even he needs to use some other tools, let alone someone like Dudley who can destroy a Horcrux with a wave of his hand.

He had tried to draw Dudley's transmutation circle, but there was no reaction whatsoever. Dumbledore couldn't see anything special about these patterns; they just looked like ordinary doodles, even if they were quite regular.

It seems that only Dudley can activate it; it is a unique ability belonging to him.

Wizards' unique abilities are not actually that rare. Many wizards possess unique abilities, such as Disguise Magus (rare, but not unique), Enchantment (half-Veer), and Papillon (rare, but not unique). It's just that none of them fall into the category of spells like Dudley's abilities.

Perhaps the Dursleys and Evans were wizards a long, long time ago, and Dudley has some special blood in his veins.

Dumbledore had no intention of getting to the bottom of it, so he didn't dwell on the matter.

"Oh, right, there's one more thing, Professor."

Dudley seemed to remember something and said to Dumbledore, "There's a junior schoolgirl who was possessed by Tom, and she's still lying in the Chamber of Secrets."

"I think she needs help."

I don't know if Dali forgot on purpose or accidentally forgot.
