Time is like a wild donkey; once it starts running, it never stops.
Summer vacation (late June) is fast approaching.
Once this summer vacation is over, September will arrive, which is the time for new students to enter the school.
As expected, Dudley will be attending Vernon's alma mater, Smedin School. Although Penny believes that Dudley's grades are good enough for a better school, Vernon insists that Dudley go to his alma mater.
As for the Harry and Desmond Desmonds, they originally planned to send him to a comprehensive secondary school—Stonewall School.
Because the price was cheap, and Harry's grades weren't outstanding, sending him to a good school would be a waste.
However, after careful consideration, the couple decided to send Dudley to Smetin School.
Harry was overjoyed to hear that he could go to school with his older cousin again.
To be honest, the uniforms at Smetine High School are pretty ugly.
A brown-red tailcoat, orange breeches, a flat-topped straw hat, and a multi-sectioned cane.
It looked ridiculous no matter how you looked at it, and Dudley didn't like it.
Men should wear black overalls.
Harry, on the other hand, longed for it, because he had never worn a tuxedo before.
Today is June 23, Dudley's birthday, but Dudley has no time to care about the mountain of gifts he has received.
"Harry, could you help me open this present? I have to go out for a bit."
Dudley hurriedly packed his clothes, picked one out of the mountain of gifts, and said to Harry, "If Mom and the others ask, just say I'm playing ball with a friend and I'll be back around noon."
The Dursleys had originally planned to take Dudley out for a whole day of fun on his birthday.
But Dali could only spare half a day.
This was because the family was going to the zoo that afternoon.
"Brother D, where have you been again?"
"Of course, I'll bring you a Gandalf figurine when I come back."
Among the Lord of the Rings merchandise sales, besides the Hogbit trio and the Elven Prince, the most popular character is undoubtedly Gandalf the White, though some fans also prefer Saruman.
"good!"
Harry knew what Dudley was doing; he knew many of Dudley's secrets, since Dudley had never hidden these things from him.
Harry had absolute admiration for his older cousin.
Whether it's sports, academics, or even starting his own company, he excels at everything he does.
Dudley promised him that if he could successfully complete his studies, he would hire him as a manager at the company. Harry was really looking forward to it.
Harry was at the table struggling with a piece of bacon.
Smoked and salted meat is a delicacy that the English consider a rare treat.
For example, Harry ate with great relish.
When Dudley isn't cooking, this is one of his favorite foods.
But for Dali, it wasn't as good as a piece of salt-fried chicken breast with some chili powder.
"Eat less smoked food; the strong flavor is not good for your growth."
"You should drink more milk."
Dudley patted Harry's head and tidied up his messy, unkempt hair.
"Time for another haircut."
Harry's hair grew exceptionally fast, and he got more haircuts than all his classmates combined.
In fact, the strange things that happened to Harry were not limited to this, and they occurred more and more frequently as he got older.
For example, any electronic product that Harry has touched or used will often malfunction for no apparent reason.
The Dursleys forbade Harry from using any electronic devices, because no household could afford to replace a television every one or two weeks due to wear and tear.
Dudley knew it was the magic within Harry that was causing the problem, and that Harry wasn't doing it on purpose.
"I'm heading out now, see you at noon."
See you at noon, Brother D.
Harry watched Dudley leave with a look of envy. Little did Harry know that while he envied Dudley's outstanding abilities, Dudley was also envying his wizarding talent.
When he pushed open his own door, Dali had already changed his appearance; his disguise skills had become increasingly refined.
Upon arriving at the agreed-upon location, a car was parked there, and Dali opened the door and got in.
If he weren't so young, Dali would definitely drive himself.
"Let me see what it is."
Dali picked up the package he had casually taken; a large open letter H was written on it, along with the giver's name.
I tore open the outer packaging, and inside was a scarf. Without saying a word, I wrapped it around my neck.
After winding through the streets of London, we soon arrived at a residential building.
Dali didn't actually go to the company; it was already on track and managed by professionals. It didn't matter whether he was there or not; he only needed to count the money.
He doesn't even need to worry about his trade secrets being stolen, because there's absolutely no technological content involved; he's selling the brand and the IP, which can't be stolen.
"Will you be picked up at the same time and place as usual, sir?"
The driver, Dali Chong, nodded, took a small suitcase from the seat next to him, and got off the bus.
He put on a brown top hat, looked around, and then walked into one of the alleys.
He's here to make a deal.
Dudley has been studying potions, and as his research progressed, he was no longer satisfied with just a few simple potions. However, many potion ingredients are inaccessible to Muggles, so he had to use special methods to obtain them.
This inevitably involves dealing with certain unconventional people.
Judging from his conversation with the driver, this was not the first time.
With money, many things become much easier, even your social circle.
Reaching the end of the alley, I knocked on the door at the corner. A small window opened in the center of the door, revealing only a pair of eyes.
"Who?"
A dull sound came out.
"Shadow," Dudley said coldly.
After verifying the code, the door slowly opened, releasing a mixture of strange smells from the room. Dali frowned slightly, pulled his hat down, covered his nose with his scarf, and went inside.
The room was about the size of a billiards room, and it was full of people, men and women, all dressed in all sorts of strange costumes. The mixed crowd made the air extremely stuffy. There were no windows open, only a few candles lit, making the entire interior very dark.
Anyone who didn't know better would think they'd stumbled upon a drug addicts' gathering place.
The ground was littered with trash, and no one was cleaning it up at all.
Dirty and chaotic were Dudley's impressions of the place.
When they noticed the newcomer entering, they all looked in Dudley's direction, their eyes filled with greed and resentment, but they silently withdrew their gazes after recognizing Dudley.
"Honorable Mr. Gargamel, please follow me."
A servant dressed in medieval attire approached, rubbing his hands together and greeting Dudley with a fawning and ingratiating expression.
