Hogwarts: I'm Harry's older cousin
Chapter 1.1. The Man Whose Name Cannot Be Mentioned
Chapter 1.1. The Man Whose Name Cannot Be Mentioned
London's weather is as fickle as a newlywed's mood; one moment it's sunny and clear, the next it's drizzling. The rain mixed with dust creates a unique smell.
Located in Corner Surrey, southwest of central London, lies a historic primary school, St. George's Primary School.
Inside the outer wall, three greasy-haired, seemingly older students leaned lazily against the wall, their faces showing a sense of decadence, a stark contrast to the youthful and energetic campus atmosphere, highlighting their individual characteristics.
Just then, a little boy wearing large black-rimmed glasses, an oversized school uniform, and a lightning bolt scar on his forehead hurriedly walked past the three of them with a loaf of bread in his hand.
After exchanging a glance, the taller one quickly followed.
The man put his arm around the little boy's shoulder and said in a very familiar tone, "Look, isn't this our Mr. Kate?"
"You owe me 50 pence from last week, when are you going to pay me back this week?"
Little Bean had never seen anything like this before. Startled, she lowered her head, not daring to look at them, and could only weakly explain, "I'm sorry, sir, you've mistaken me for someone else. My name isn't Kate."
The moment the words left his mouth, he was slapped across the face, his glasses flew off to the side, and his hair was disheveled.
The tall man said menacingly, "Are you saying I have bad eyesight? If I say you're Kate, then you are Kate."
Perhaps the commotion was a bit too loud, for the children around them all turned to look at them with questioning eyes. At this moment, the other two people leaning against the wall also got up, one to drive them away and the other to keep watch, while the remaining person pulled the little boy toward a secluded spot in the school.
The movements were very skillful and fluid, clearly indicating that this was not the first time he had done something like this.
There are always bullies and harassers in schools, especially in schools like St. George's Elementary School, where such bullies are even more common. For example, the people who took "Dou Ding" away are such bullies.
The children around had never seen anything like it before, and they all ran away in fright.
"Here you go." The short, chubby boy next to him snatched the bread from 'Little Bean's' hand. "I haven't had breakfast yet, so I'll have to try this. Ugh. This lousy bread is as hard as a rock. Who would like to eat this garbage?"
Despite his efforts, he could only leave a tooth mark on the bread, which made his cheek ache.
"That's my brother's favorite baguette." 'Little Bean' quickly picked up the bread that had been rejected, hugged it tightly as if afraid that the other person would take it away again. Looking at the faint teeth marks on the bread, she said in a slightly tearful voice, "Oh no, Daddy will be angry if he finds out that someone touched his food."
DouDing's overly nervous attitude towards BaoMian failed to attract the attention of the three, even though DouDing had just been slapped in the face without any reaction.
The short, chubby boy said with a look of disdain, "What is your brother anyway?"
Who dares to mess with the Hobbit trio in St. George?
"Yes, yes, it's your brother's bread." The tall man's eyes darted around, and he bent down to pat the little boy's cheek, saying in a friendly tone, "So your brother Moses also owes us 50 pence. You see, now the two of you brothers owe us a total of 1 pound."
"My brother's name isn't Moses, and my name isn't Kate," 'Little Bean' insisted, trembling with fear.
He knew that if he gave in out of fear, something even more terrible would happen.
"Didn't you understand what I just said?" Hearing the little guy dare to contradict him, the tall man's previously amiable expression immediately turned fierce. "Then tell me your name now!"
The speed at which he changes his expression is truly exceptional.
"Harry Potter!"
"Slap!" Harry got slapped across the face again.
The tall man grumbled, "Didn't you understand what I said? Your name is Kate, and you and your brother owe us a total of one pound."
Why are tall people so insistent on changing someone's name? Because once the other person admits it, even if they report it to the teacher, they can say they've mistaken the person for someone else.
After all, they were asking "Kate" to get back the money she owed them, not extorting money from Harry.
As for the money? Harry gave it to them voluntarily.
However, upon hearing the name the little boy uttered, the one of the three who had remained silent until now changed his expression drastically and hurriedly stopped the tall man: "Jim, stop! He said his name is Harry Potter."
"So what? Harvey." Jim didn't understand his companion's meaning and asked with a puzzled look.
"Let's go quickly," Harvey said, pulling the two away.
Influenced by Harvey's tense atmosphere, the short, chubby boy quickly asked, "What do his parents do?"
He thought he had offended someone he shouldn't have, such as someone whose parents were police officers or thugs, and they were quite afraid of them.
"I heard his parents died in a car accident," Harvey blurted out, then urged his companion again, "This isn't the time to talk about this, let's go."
Hearing Harvey's words, the short, chubby boy breathed a sigh of relief, while Jim retorted irritably, "Then what are you afraid of?"
He thought his companions were crazy; in a little while they would have a pound in their pocket, a whole pound!
Harvey was practically crying with frustration at the stupidity of his two companions: "His brother is Dudley."
"Dali? Which Dudley?" Jim was still in a daze and hadn't come to his senses.
"How many Dudleys are there at St. George's Elementary School? Of course, it's Dudley Dursley!"
Harvey raised his voice, but then noticeably lowered it when he said the other person's name, while simultaneously expressing despair that his companion still hadn't caught on.
"Who is that?"
The short, chubby boy was still confused and very dissatisfied with his companion's riddle-solving behavior. Why couldn't he just say what he wanted to say all at once?
It moves when you poke it, are you squeezing toothpaste?
Jim, however, had some sense. He turned to Harry and asked, "Hey, Potter, how old is your brother?"
"Same as me, fourth year." Harry was an honest boy, so he answered truthfully.
"What's there to be afraid of in a fourth grader?" Jim was completely relieved, but also puzzled by his companion's nervous tension: "We'll be graduating this year, what are you worried about, Harvey?"
"You've probably heard of this name before, right?"
Seemingly having made a great decision, Harvey gestured for his companion to move closer to him, lowering his voice as much as possible, as if afraid of being overheard.
He uttered a name in an extremely slow and soft voice.
"Deslie the Food Guardian!"
His words seemed to break a taboo.
The moment they heard the name, everyone, including Harry, gasped.
P.S.: Harry Potter's Aunt Petunia told him that his parents died in a car accident.
PS2: Dudley is one month and one week older than Harry.
PS3: Dudley's actor is named Harry Merlin.
