Chapter 11 The Powerful Hawking

Chapter 11 The Powerful Hawking

"Kamehameha!"

A loud shout rang out, followed by a beam of energy shooting from behind Wolverine, grazing his beard and instantly blasting the helicopter to pieces.

"There's no need to wait until later; I am a qualified soldier right now."

"Get back into position," Hawking said to Wolverine, who had turned around and was staring at him.

Colossus and the students who hadn't yet entered the secret passage were all dumbfounded. Hawking's Kamehameha reminded them of Cyclops Scott.

"Sergeant, how many have you caught?"

Meanwhile, in the brainwave enhancement room on the school's rooftop, which had been blasted open, William Stryker picked up the helmet of the brainwave enhancement machine and asked the sergeant beside him a question.

A hint of embarrassment appeared on the sergeant's face:

"There are none so far. Two formidable guys have appeared and rescued the students we just captured. They even damaged one of our fighter jets."

"Disassemble these and transport them back to base first. The rest of you stay and capture as many mutants as possible to test the machine's effectiveness later."

Stryker frowned immediately.

He hadn't expected that after taking down Professor X and transferring those school teachers, there would be some troublesome individuals among these mutant students.

Originally intending to take over the entire school, he decided to leave personally with the machines first, just to be on the safe side.

With Professor X in hand, if they can replicate the EEG enhancement chamber in the base, they can use their mutant son's abilities to control Professor X and instantly kill all mutants on Earth.

"Yes, Colonel!"

Soon enough, these well-trained professional soldiers dismantled the main mechanical parts of the brainwave enhancement machine and then escorted Colonel Stryker onto the transport plane parked outside.

The sergeant who remained behind continued to command the remaining soldiers in battle.

But not long after, his expression changed, because all he could hear on his walkie-talkie were the screams of his men.

"Don't move, hands up!"

In the school's second-floor lobby, the three mischievous kids managed to evade a few searching soldiers, only to be ambushed by a large group of soldiers.

Seeing more than a dozen submachine guns pointed at them, they were immediately too frightened to move.

Having never received combat training, they harbored an innate fear of firearms and dared not activate their abilities to fight back.

Just as the three were about to be captured by the soldiers who had switched to tranquilizer guns, two loud shouts suddenly came from above.

"Go to hell!"

"Take this!"

It was Wolverine and Hawking who discovered the situation and pounced down from the third-floor corridor.

Piercing hearts, slitting necks, using the bodies of killed soldiers as shields from bullets—in just a few seconds, Wolverine had already killed six soldiers. But as he charged toward the seventh, he found that no soldier was left standing.

It turned out that the other eleven soldiers had all been taken down by Hawking.

"Good job, little monkey!"

Reaching out to push the corpse away from the wolf's paws, Wolverine couldn't help but praise Hawking once again.

Along the way, they encountered several groups of invading soldiers, and Hawking's performance truly impressed him.

Not only did he display a powerful energy attack at the beginning, but Hawking also demonstrated even stronger fighting skills and physical qualities, as well as the strong mentality of a warrior.

The key point is that Hawking was only twelve years old.

"Logan, I told you, don't call me little monkey!"

Hawking stuck the magic staff into his back and couldn't help but roll his eyes.

He knew that Wolverine didn't mean to mock him by calling him "little monkey," because his twelve-year-old body and the tail behind him did indeed suit the nickname "little monkey."

He just didn't want to be introduced as a little monkey in the future.

This is Wolverine, this is Cyclops, this is Storm, and this is... a little monkey?

That's so lame!

To be honest, he also witnessed Wolverine's power during their battles along the way.

Wolverine's strength doesn't lie in his exceptional fighting skills. While his fighting ability is decent, even surpassing most people, it's not among the absolute best.

His strength lies in his near-immortal healing body, combined with his almost indestructible adamantium skeleton and wolf claws. Unless he is a natural counter to someone like Magneto or Professor X, most people simply cannot outlast him.

Of course, that's not the most crucial thing. The most crucial thing is his incredibly strong heart and his nearly two hundred years of combat experience.

Combat experience is different from fighting skills. Rich combat experience allows him to always use all the advantages of himself and his surroundings to defeat opponents who are stronger than himself.

It's like Brother Long in the furniture store.

"So what should I call you, Gorilla, or King Kong?"

Wolverine joked.

Stephen Hawking always acted like a little adult, and he couldn't resist teasing him.

"Fine, whatever you want."

Hawking shrugged, knowing it was pointless to say anything. He'd wait until one day he transformed into his Great Ape form and let Wolverine know how incompatible the little monkey was with him.

"Logan!"

Upon seeing Logan appear, the little rascal pounced on him; Logan was her best friend.

Logan helped her when she was at her loneliest and most helpless.

"Alright, it's not safe yet. Follow me and the little monkey, and we'll take you to the secret passage."

Before Logan could finish speaking, the large glass window in the second-floor lobby suddenly shattered, and three combat helicopters appeared there.

"Little monkey!"

Logan immediately looked at Hawking, whose bare-handed energy beams had taken down four more combat helicopters along the way.

However, this time Hawking did not use the Kamehameha, but instead drew his magic staff from his back.

"Wonder wand, grow longer!"

At Hawking's command, the magic staff quickly lengthened and pierced directly into the outermost center of the combat helicopter.

"Haa!"

With his muscles bulging, Hawking swung his elongated golden cudgel left and right with force.

To the astonishment of the three mischievous children behind him, the helicopter in the middle was actually controlled by Hawking's powerful strength and crashed heavily into the helicopters on either side.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

All three attack helicopters exploded and crashed.

Although the Kamehameha is powerful, it consumes too much of the body's ki. Even a thirteen-year-old Goku couldn't use it continuously.

"Retreat! Everyone retreat!"

The sergeant, who had already arrived at the lawn outside the school, heard that more than a dozen elite soldiers had been killed and three combat helicopters had been destroyed. He gritted his teeth and gave the final order to retreat.

The operation is currently down to less than ten men and two combat helicopters; if they don't retreat soon, they will be wiped out.

"They're retreating!"

After sending the three little devils into the secret passage on the first floor, Hawking and Wolverine were preparing to continue hunting down the invading soldiers when they discovered that the enemy had stopped attacking and was retreating rapidly.

The two chased downstairs, only to find that the two remaining helicopters had already taken off.

"They let those bastards get away!"

Wolverine lit a cigar, took a puff, and said with some regret.
