Chapter 93 Exams and the Academy Cup

"I thought you would tell her, Mr. Stradt."

Dumbledore suddenly appeared beside him, glanced at Lockhart lying on the ground, and said in a somewhat subtle tone, "Looks like I'll have to start looking for a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor again."

Ike ignored Dumbledore's rambling and gently tapped Hermione's forehead with his finger, causing her to fall into a deep sleep. With a flick of his wand, the ground rose up and transformed into a bed.

It was simple, but enough for Hermione to lie down for a while.

"This is my problem." Ike carefully placed Hermione on the bed. "Like you said, no one else can give me direct help."

With a soft sigh, Ike withdrew his gaze from Hermione. He put away his wand, placed his hands in front of him, and said calmly, "If I'm not mistaken, all of this was within your expectations, wasn't it, Professor Dumbledore?"

"Unfortunately, no," Dumbledore shook his head. "No one can have everything under control."

"After all, things are done by people, and people are the most complex beings in the world."

"Even magic, though great, cannot truly reveal a person's true nature..."

"However, I believe that those who enjoy cockroaches will always find their way through the fog." Dumbledore suddenly took out a paper bag, pulled out a lively cockroach from it, and handed it to Ike. "A piece of candy is the best comfort for a warrior after a battle."

Ike nodded thoughtfully, a smile appearing on his face. He reached out, took the chocolate, and popped it into his mouth. The next moment, the rich chocolate filling exploded in his mouth, and his eyes involuntarily narrowed.

"What a pity, there's no milk." Dumbledore squinted his eyes. "Perhaps we can go to the Hogwarts kitchen and find some."

"Of course, Professor..."

On the morning of June 2nd, the instant Dumbledore announced the end of martial law, deafening cheers erupted from the Great Hall. At that moment, regardless of house or year, everyone shouted excitedly, freely releasing the negative emotions that had been building up for so long.

Stewart frantically waved his Ravenclaw scarf, yelling at Ike beside him, "It's over! Ike! It's over!"

"Yes, yes, calm down... never mind..." Ike wanted to get Stuart to tone it down a bit, but seeing the even more outrageous behavior of the Gryffindors next door, he suddenly felt that Stuart's behavior wasn't so bad after all.

The eagles' clothes were still on them obediently; they hadn't been thrown onto the Slytherin table.

"Alright, alright, ladies and gentlemen..." Dumbledore said with a smile, gently pressing his hands down in the air, but it had no effect whatsoever. He glanced helplessly at Professor McGonagall, who sat on the professor's bench with a cold expression, and shrugged mischievously.

"Quiet!"

No one dared disobey Professor McGonagall. She simply gave a casual remark, glanced around from left to right, and nodded in satisfaction. The auditorium was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

"Ahem..." Dumbledore cleared his throat and continued, "I'm pleased to see the youthful energy returning to your faces. That's good; it makes me feel that you have the inner strength to accept what I'm about to announce..."

"Yes, that's right, you need to prepare for your final exams!"

"To be honest, I was already prepared to cancel..."

"No!"

Before Dumbledore could finish speaking, a scream suddenly rang out, followed by wails throughout the Great Hall. Never before had the young wizards hated their once kind and gentle headmaster as much as they did now.

"But there is good news..." Dumbledore said with a smile, "Considering the martial law that has been in place for more than a month, we have decided to postpone the exams by a week, so the first exam will not begin until June 7th."

"So unfortunately, everyone's holiday is shortened by a week. Meanwhile, due to the limited time we have left, this year's Quidditch competition will be cancelled entirely..."

Knowing the news would provoke complaints from the young wizards, Dumbledore turned and returned to his seat as soon as he finished speaking. And as he predicted, the young wizards erupted in even louder screams.

Compared to exams, the shortened holidays are more painful.

But that's a matter for next week, and the most urgent thing is to deal with the upcoming final exams.

The joy of lifting restrictions?

What is that?!

The young hawks aren't worried about the final exams. Even though Ravenclaw hasn't held the top spot in their grade for a long time, it just means that the academic genius isn't in Hawkshouse.

In terms of average grades, Ravenclaw is the best at Hogwarts.

Of course, it's always good to get first place in the grade.

So Ike is under a lot of pressure.

Without flying lessons, everyone thought he could finally catch up with Gryffindor's "Mr. Know-It-All".

Indeed, Ekko narrowly defeated Hermione, who had just taken the top spot for the year, thanks to his excellent spellcasting abilities.

If we only look at the theory exam, there is no difference in their scores.

On the evening of June 20th, the annual farewell banquet was held once again in the auditorium. Blue flags were hung in every corner of the auditorium, and the young eagles' faces were full of smiles.

This was almost expected. With Quidditch not having resumed, Ravenclaws had no real rivals.

After all, the culprit that has been preventing the Eagles from winning the Academy Cup in recent years is Quidditch.

Professor Flitwick was overjoyed, as this was the second time in nearly a decade that Ravenclaw had won the House Cup. Apart from Gryffindor's "unexpected rise" last year, this trophy could almost have been called the "Slytherin Cup" before. If it weren't for the Eagles' heroic victory in the 84-85 season, the House Cup could really have been renamed based on the results of the last decade alone.

However, compared to the other excited eaglets, Ike seemed rather quiet. He still felt this was a kind of "compromise" by the professors.

After all, no matter what, he had killed one of Voldemort's Horcruxes and added a whole Basilisk to Professor Snape's private collection in the past year.

If he were to abandon all conscience and shame, he could certainly be called the "savior of the British magical world".

Ike glanced at the useless notepad system in his mind and couldn't help but purse his lips.

Unsurprisingly, nothing has changed.

But it wasn't all unchanged; a new skill made Ekko realize that all his life-and-death struggles over the past year hadn't been in vain. Compared to that, whether or not he was a so-called "savior" was nothing.
