Chapter 91 Flaw

"Ike!"

Hermione shouted at the top of her lungs, very anxious, but she couldn't join in the fight at all.

Such a high-intensity magical clash was something she had never seen before; the only time she had come close was during Ike and Snape's demonstration. From that moment on, she knew very well that she was far behind Ike in terms of actual combat ability.

The battle before her made her realize just how vast the gap truly was.

"Hahaha!"

Comrade Xiao Fu laughed wildly, his hands flashing with magic, raining down on Ike like a torrential downpour. He relished seeing Ike struggling to defend himself, which gave him a strange sense of satisfaction.

"Come on! Again!"

"Where's the wand?! Give it to me!"

"Hahaha……"

And so, Comrade Xiao Fu bombarded and blasted for quite a while, thoroughly clearing the ground around Ike, but Ike, the target, remained unmoved.

Although they were disheveled, they were not injured.

Even his breathing remained perfectly steady.

Comrade Xiao Fu is not stupid; the more he fought, the more he realized something was wrong. Perhaps he initially intended to kill Ike, but later it was just a fit of anger.

"Oh? We've been discovered?"

Suddenly, Ike pushed out a huge silver shield with one hand and held it in front of him. He watched as Little Fu cast five or six Avada Kedavra spells in a row, but they had no effect on the shield. This was a far cry from the scene before when a single spell could shatter a small shield.

"Ike!"

Voldemort knew he'd been tricked again, and in his anger, he threw another Avada Kedavra, but it had no effect. Meanwhile, Ike even had time to walk past him to comfort Hermione in front of the Screaming Shack.

"Hermione, don't worry, I'm perfectly fine."

"Wait a little longer, I'll take care of this guy soon."

"Deal with me?" Comrade Xiao Fu roared, his anger blazing. "I'm unkillable! How are you going to deal with me?!"

"Tsk tsk tsk..." Ike pushed the silver shield forward two steps, pointed to the ground next to Comrade Xiao Fu with his other finger, and said, "I still overestimated you. Perhaps your future achievements intimidated me, but in the end, you are just a fragment of a soul..."

"You are indeed an outstanding wizard in your sixth year, but your knowledge is limited to this."

"Indeed, I know nothing about magic, but how are you so special?"

As he spoke, Ike's free right hand traced mysterious arcs in the air, and strands of golden light slowly appeared, drifting down like feathers.

Seeing this, Comrade Xiao Fu tried to use the same trick again, but found that the ground beneath his feet suddenly flashed with silver light, and a huge magic circle suddenly appeared. He couldn't even step out of the magic circle, and could only watch helplessly as the strands of gold fell to the ground and merged back into the magic circle.

"...Magic, spells, ancient runes, ancient magic—I've been pondering what the connection is between them?"

"Many books describe the power of ancient magic; its world-destroying power is something to be admired and fascinated by!"

"Many great wizards have devoted their lives to trying to recreate ancient magic, but to this day, very few have succeeded..."

"And so, this saying spread, and even became the mainstream view in the magical world today..."

"The current magic system is no less powerful than ancient magic!"

Ike spoke as if he were telling a very ordinary story, in a relaxed and casual manner.

"But someone as intelligent as you, and as great as the future you, should agree with me on this point, right...?"

"Modern magic is built upon the ruins of ancient magic!"

"They are two different magic systems, but the difference..."

"Tsk tsk tsk..."

Comrade Xiao Fu calmed down, as if he had given up struggling, but his eyes were fixed on Ike, and Ike could clearly see the malice, resentment, anger and a little bit of unwillingness in his eyes.

Are you trying to show off your erudition?

"Okay, I admit it, you're the most amazing second-year wizard I've ever seen!"

"What? You're satisfied now! How does it feel to be acknowledged by the great Dark Lord himself?"

"Hehe..." Ike chuckled, dispelling the silver shield in front of him; it was no longer needed.

He beckoned Hermione over, and the little witch quickly ran around the huge magic circle on the ground.

She already knew who the young man trapped in the magic circle was, so naturally she wanted to stay as far away from him as possible.

"Ike..." Hermione had barely uttered a word when Ike raised his hand to interrupt her. With a backhand slash, the cedar wand that Little Fu was holding immediately began to struggle violently.

Comrade Xiao Fu instinctively clenched his fist, but this only provoked an even more violent reaction. After several attempts, he finally couldn't hold on any longer, and the wand slipped from his hand, passing straight through the magic circle and landing in Ike's hand.

"Cedar wood, with unicorn hair as the core, is, according to Ollivander, the most loyal and the most righteous."

Comrade Chong Xiaofu smiled and continued, "So, a villain like you can't catch it."

Ignoring the somewhat agitated Little Voldemort within the magic circle, Ike pointed the tip of his staff directly at Hermione's forehead, chanted an awkward incantation, and immediately drew out strands of red and black threads.

More and more thin lines appeared, forming a red and black venomous snake in the air, still struggling, but in vain.

"Ike, what is this? How did it get inside my body?" Hermione was startled and immediately asked.

Ike didn't answer the little witch's question. With a flick of his wand, he shattered the venomous snake. At the same time, Little Fu, inside the magic circle, turned pale, his chest caved in as if he'd been hit by a sledgehammer. His expression, however, remained unchanged.

It was still so vicious and angry.

"You put another one on Roger, right?" Ike said. "But it doesn't matter anymore, as long as one of them fails."

"Oh, right..." Ike pretended to suddenly remember something, took the broken notebook out of his pocket, waved it around, and smiled broadly.

"This time, you can't escape!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the notebook was thrown to the ground. The wand swung downwards sharply, and a black flame suddenly appeared and landed on the notebook. Comrade Xiao Fu immediately let out a scream, his body looked like it was on fire, and large patches of his face were even charred black.

But that was all; even after the notebook was burned to ashes, Comrade Xiao Fu was still inside the magic circle.

"Huff... Huff..." Comrade Xiao Fu gasped for breath, his whole body trembling. His charred skin peeled off little by little with the rise and fall of his body, turning into black ash and disappearing.

Ike looked coldly at Comrade Xiao Fu, then suddenly shook his head slightly, waved his wand lightly, and a soft golden light fell on the magic circle.

The next second, a burst of light erupted!

Goodbye,

Tom...
