Chapter 65 The Damaged Notebook

Chapter 65 The Damaged Notebook

Ike is just barely holding on.

The magic circle inscribed on the Philosopher's Stone was something Ike had only managed to decipher with great difficulty. It had only one function: to seal.

Magic, spells, and even the wizard himself can all be sealed off.

However, what froze Voldemort's magic was not a magic circle, but an ancient spell originating from a Ravenclaw manuscript.

The combination of these two spells is what gives Ike the confidence to fight Voldemort on Voldemort's home turf.

Unfortunately, it ultimately backfired.

In this so-called "home ground" of Comrade Xiao Fu, all of Ike's spells required twice the energy. And because he entered as a soul or consciousness, he did not bring with him the magical power that far surpassed that of other young wizards of his age, which directly resulted in extreme fatigue after using his trump card. His head was throbbing, dizzy, and throbbing with pain.

"Hahaha..." Faced with Ike's question, Comrade Xiao Fu suddenly burst into laughter, "So that's what you were after!"

"Answer me!" Ike knocked on the barrier again, and Little Fu screamed in pain, half of his face was pockmarked, and he was no longer as handsome as before.

"Hehehe...you...you've got the wrong person. I...I have no idea where that guy put those things..."

Ike's eyes widened, bloodshot from staring.

"You're lying!"

"Ike Strayder! The Dark Lord never lies!" Comrade Little Fu grinned menacingly, specks of black ash floating from his mouth before freezing in mid-air.

"When I was created, the Slytherin legacy was still in the Chamber of Secrets..."

"I see..." Ike suddenly smiled, struggled to stand up from the chair, his eyes cold.

"Then you're useless..."

The wand slammed into the barrier, the magic circle emitting a blinding light, from which screams echoed.

"Sizzle... sizzle... sizzle"

Like the sound of meat being roasted on a hot plate, Ike watched helplessly as Comrade Xiao Fu slowly turned into black ash.

First the head, then the hands, and then slowly downwards...

Before Xiao Fu's legs could disappear, Ike felt as if something was pulling his body, and the surrounding things suddenly pressed inward.

The next second, Ike's back slammed against the back of the chair.

It has already come out of the notebook.

Looking at the laptop again, it looked like it had been burned, completely charred black.

Ike closed his eyes and rested for a while until the throbbing in his head gradually subsided before picking up the notebook.

I opened it and drew lines on it with a quill pen, leaving clear marks that showed no sign of disappearing.

"Phew... finally solved..."

Ike let out a long sigh, sat in the chair for a while to rest, and then got up and left, taking the broken laptop straight to the school hospital.

The first session of Defense Against the Dark Arts in the morning was not yet over, but Ike was already starting to feel the strain.

When they arrived at the school hospital, Mrs. Pomfrey was examining Percy and Penelope. She turned around at the knock and exclaimed, "My God! What happened to you! Lie down!"

Ike was pulled directly to the bed next to Harry and lay down, letting Madam Pomfrey poke him all over with her wand.

"You've exhausted yourself mentally; you need to rest properly. It'll take at least three days to recover." Madam Pomfrey poked Ike's head again before putting away her wand. "Which house are you from? What's your name?"

"Ike Strayder, a second-year Ravenclaw student."

"Alright, lie down for a bit, I'll inform Philius," Madam Pomfrey said, taking a bottle of bright green potion from the cabinet and handing it to Ike. "Drink this first, it'll do you good."

Taking the potion, Ike had barely brought it to his lips when he smelled a mixture of rotten eggs and fried tofu, and nearly vomited. Madam Pomfrey quickly supported him, saying, "The smell really isn't good, but just bear with it..."

With his eyes closed and his breath held, Ike swallowed the potion from the bottle in one gulp, spitting out the saliva with an encouraging look from Madam Pomfrey. He choked and coughed for a while before recovering.

"I'll go tell Felius now that you'll be alone for a while; there are other potions to drink later." Madam Pomfrey gave a smile that terrified Ike, and then leisurely left.

"Ike, what's wrong?" Madam Pomfrey had barely left when Harry, who had been watching for a while, came over. Looking at the charred notebook in Ike's hand, Harry asked, "Did something happen?"

Ike nodded, casually placed the notebook on the bedside table, and lay down limply.

"The magic has gone out of control."

"What kind of magic could have turned you into this?"

"Ancient magic," Ike replied softly, looking at Harry's curious expression.

"And what's that?" Harry gave a classic black-and-white-faced look, completely clueless about what Ike was talking about. "I only know about Ancient Runes. Hermione has a book called 'An Easy Introduction to Ancient Runes,' is it related to that?"

"Yes." Ike patted the pillow under his head to make it more comfortable. "Ancient magic is magic based on ancient runes. You can think of it that way."

"Oh..." Harry was still a little confused and scratched his head. Suddenly, he went back to his bedside, took a handful of candy from the bedside table, and handed it to Ike.

"These are candies Fred and George gave me. Want some? They taste pretty good." Harry said, tearing open a candy and popping it into his mouth. "This is the most normal candy I've ever eaten!"

Ike took one and popped it into his mouth. The sweet taste made the nauseating smell seem much milder.

"Sizzling Honey Candy, Honey Duke's signature drink, but I still prefer the Cockroach Pit."

"How could you like such weird things!" Harry exclaimed, startled. "I've only ever seen them in Dumbledore's office, and they looked horrible!"

"It tastes really good, like a bursting chocolate." Ike said, his voice slightly muffled as he sucked on a candy. "It would be even better if you soaked it in milk."

"It's the same way you eat Oreos," Ike added.

"Stop talking." Harry shivered and shook his head violently, as if trying to shake some disgusting images out of his mind.

Ike was used to Harry's reaction; he'd seen it too many times with Stuart and Terry. Even now, the hawks still felt uncomfortable with Ike's special "chocolate milk," but it was much better than last year.

As Ike was mentally comparing Stuart's and Harry's expressions, he suddenly felt a pain on the back of his neck. A small green creature crawled out from his collar, its two brown eyes glaring angrily at him, its tiny paws gesturing wildly.

Ike quickly picked up a piece of honey candy and handed it to Jimmy, but the little guy grabbed it with both hands and angrily slapped Ike's fingers.

"What is this?" Harry asked curiously, looking at the little guy who had suddenly appeared.

"Bowlegs," Ike replied, his fingers darting around as he played with Jimmy. "Its name is Jimmy, and it has a bit of a temper..."

"I think it's fine. You must have crushed it." A hint of envy flashed in Harry's eyes.

"It's nothing, I often run over it, it's part of our daily routine." Ike smiled and took out a small bottle from his robe, pinched out a dung beetle, and handed it to Jimmy. Jimmy immediately dropped the honeydew candy, hugged the dung beetle, and sat on Ike's shoulder to slowly eat it.

Smiling, Ike put away the bottle and then took out another one, which contained many small pieces of roasted meat.

He poured out two pets and placed them in his right hand, then casually tossed them into his left sleeve. If it weren't for Jimmy, he would have almost forgotten he had another pet.

Suddenly, the smile on Ike's face froze. He gripped his left arm tightly with his right hand and groped it up and down.

Where's Xiao Hei?
