Chapter 60 A Visit to the Washroom

Ike didn't take Ron's attitude to heart at all.

He knew very well that Ron was someone who desperately craved attention. As the least favored child in the Weasley family, Ron had always longed for recognition. Unfortunately, even at Hogwarts, people mostly saw him as a friend of the Savior.

Of course, Ike didn't know if this was real or just fan fiction, but he couldn't rule out the possibility that the treasure existed.

On November 21, the last Saturday night before Thanksgiving, after Stuart and Terry fell asleep, Ike cast the Disillusionment Charm and the classic combination of silence on himself and quietly went to the girls' restroom on the third floor.

As soon as he entered, Ike smelled a strange odor, which smelled exactly like boiled cabbage.

I glanced subconsciously at the closed cubicle door, ignored it, and went straight to the pool.

After a quick inspection, Ike spotted the faucet with a small snake engraved on it.

Drawing his wand, Ike glanced at the motionless cubicle and said in Parseltongue to the faucet, "Turn it on!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the faucet emitted a dazzling white light and then began to spin rapidly. The pool also split in the middle and slowly moved to one side, revealing a very thick water pipe.

"Who's there!"

A female voice came from the cubicle, and Ike quickly jumped into the water pipe, not forgetting to say "Shut down" in Parseltongue.

When the Myrtle appeared, all that could be seen was an intact pool and the excess water on the ground.

"That's strange, I definitely heard it..."

Madam Myrtle muttered something, then floated back, glanced at one of the stalls, snorted, and plunged headfirst into the toilet.

On the other side, Ike slid down the pipe, and although it hadn't been long, he could no longer tell which pipe he had come from.

The path below is winding and interconnected, with very steep slopes and high speeds. As you slide, you'll suddenly find yourself turning into other pipes, and all you can feel is that you're constantly going downhill.

After a while, Ike felt the slope gradually slow down, so he quickly cast a shock-absorbing spell on himself. A few seconds later, Ike burst out of the pipe, then quickly cast a levitation spell, flying quite a distance before landing on the ground.

"Completely cleaned up!"

Although they hadn't flown close to the ground, after sliding in the pipes for so long, their clothes were covered in dirt and smelled terrible. A cleaning spell cleaned their clothes, but the unpleasant odor remained.

Ike extended his left hand, and a ball of light emitting a soft white glow appeared, slowly floating in the air.

He placed the wand flat in his right hand and whispered, "Point the way!"

The cedarwood wand hovered in the air, spun a few times, and then its tip pointed straight ahead.

Following the direction the wand pointed, Ike slowly walked, holding the spyglass in his hand and becoming more vigilant.

"Crunch, crunch"

Gradually, small animal skeletons appeared under Ike's feet. It was unclear how long they had been there; they were very brittle and crumbled instantly when stepped on.

After walking for a while, the outline of a huge, coiled creature came into view.

Without rushing, Ike gently tapped his ear with his right index finger, listened for a while without hearing any other sounds, and then walked to the side of the enormous creature.

He reached out and tapped it; it made a hollow sound and was very hard. With a light wave of his right hand, he cast a cutting spell, and a small piece of the snake shed off.

Picking it up casually and putting it in his pocket, Ike continued walking forward.

After turning countless corners, Ike finally saw a wall carved with two intertwined snakes.

"Open!"

With the light spell gone, as the snakes finished speaking, their eyes lit up briefly, then slowly separated, and the stone wall cracked open from the middle, gradually sliding to both sides.

The room was dimly lit, but not so dark that you couldn't see your surroundings.

The first thing that catches the eye is a straight corridor with many stone pillars standing neatly on both sides, each with a large snake coiled around it. The eyes of these snakes are occupied by green gemstones, just like the two snakes on the stone wall.

The space was very large, and looking up, you could only vaguely see the ceiling, which was inlaid with something and had a faint light.

Following the corridor forward, Ike finally arrived in front of a tall statue.

It was an old, decrepit wizard with a monkey-like face and a sparse, long beard carved into his chin, which trailed down to the hem of his stone-carved wizard's robe.

Ike murmured, a sudden resolve forming in his heart.

Reaching the base of the statue, Ike narrowed his eyes, gripped his wand tightly in his right hand, and spoke loudly in Parseltongue:

"Speak to me, Slytherin! The greatest of the four great masters of Hogwarts!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the statue's mouth began to move, opening wider and wider under Ike's gaze until it revealed a huge black hole.

Immediately afterward, Ike heard a screeching sound like fingernails scratching a blackboard, as if something was coming out of it.

"Slaughter...kill..."

Ike quickly stepped back, his right hand, holding the wand, rapidly tapping twice on his nose and ears. With his eyes tightly shut, he shouted in Parseltongue, "Stop! Close your eyes!"

The piercing sound stopped after being repeated three times. Listening closely, the basilisk seemed not to have moved.

"Go, go eat! Go find the rats! The rats!"

Ike made a series of hissing, hissing, hahing sounds, and then smelled a foul, fishy stench.

"Mouse...eating...mouse..."

The piercing sound rang out again, and Ike clearly felt a huge object slide past him. He only slightly opened his eyes when the sound gradually faded away.

Sure enough, the Parseltongue can control the snake monster!

Unsure when the basilisk would return, Ike quickly cast a levitation spell on himself, and his body slowly floated into the black hole of the statue.

With his left hand, Ike rubbed another ball of light and walked inside, enduring the stench.

The place that could serve as the basilisk's lair was naturally quite large; it took quite a while to reach the innermost part.

Looking at the stone wall in front of him that was almost identical to the entrance to the secret chamber, Ike was overjoyed.

Slytherin's treasure does indeed exist!
