Chapter 275 Trivial Matters

Chapter 275 Trivial Matters (Part 4)

To be precise, Harry and Fleur didn't have much contact. His impression of the Triwizard Tournament is now limited to Voldemort's resurrection and the battle in the graveyard.

But then I thought, Ron must have liked Fleur back then, right? Now that she's going to marry Bill, won't Ron feel awkward?

Turning his head to look at Ron, whose expression was indeed somewhat unnatural, Harry felt that he had discovered the key point, but he immediately dismissed it himself.

Although Ron is often unreliable, he's never embarrassed by such things. Rather than saying he likes Fleur, it's more accurate to say Ron likes all things beautiful.

I'm sure he'll soon fall for someone else.

"What's wrong, Harry?" Perhaps feeling uncomfortable being stared at, Ron turned to Harry and asked, glancing at his clothes as if looking for stains that had been splashed on him while eating breakfast.

"Nothing..." Harry shook his head. "I'm just curious. She's been here for several days now, haven't you all gotten used to it yet?"

"I'm used to it, but if she keeps popping up like that all the time, I don't think anyone but Bill would get used to it," Ron sighed.

Harry looked like he'd just realized something, but Ginny immediately said, "You don't really want her to stay here forever, do you, Ron!"

"Yeah, after all, she won't treat you like a three-year-old. She'll greet you in that sickeningly sweet tone and give you a kiss on your pimple-covered face!"

"I'm telling you, don't even dream about it! She won't stay here for long; Mom will kick her out!"

"Get rid of her? Wasn't Bill going to marry her? How could he..." Harry asked, puzzled.

“Like I said, Mom hates her!” Ginny said. “Mom has been inviting Tonks over to dinner a lot lately, and I think it’s because she wants Bill to fall in love with Tonks.”

"Tonks?" Harry recalled the haggard face he saw when he arrived at the Burrow last night. "Is she involved in this?"

“No, don’t listen to Ginny’s nonsense,” Ron said immediately. “She has no idea that Tonks has been having a tough time lately, and Mom thinks she shouldn’t be alone, which is why she keeps inviting her over.”

"Not going well? What happened to her?"

"I...I'm not really sure either, I just heard from others that she confessed to someone and got rejected...who knows?" Ron shrugged. "But there's no doubt she's been very unhappy lately, and even her disguise skills aren't working as well as she wants anymore."

"Disguise?"

"That means she can't change her appearance as easily as she used to," Hermione explained.

Harry nodded upon hearing this, but then realized what she meant and looked at Hermione, asking, "You're not... how do you know so much?"

Hermione didn't answer, but just gestured towards Ginny with her lips, and Harry immediately understood.

Just then, the door opened again, and Mrs. Weasley poked her head in, beckoned to Ginny, and said, "Ginny, come down here and help me prepare lunch!"

"I'm chatting with everyone!" Ginny said irritably.

"Hurry up!" Mrs. Weasley didn't give her another chance to refuse and slammed the door shut. Ginny had no choice but to stand up and walk towards the door, muttering as she went, "She just doesn't want to be alone with Fleur!"

They watched as Ginny, seething with anger, flung open the door and slammed it shut with a loud "bang," followed by Mrs. Weasley's cry of "Ginny Weasley!" Everyone instinctively shuddered.

Harry stiffly picked up the breakfast from the bedside table and began to wolf it down. Hermione stroked Crookshanks, while Ron stared intently at Harry as he ate.

"Want some bread?" Harry felt a little uncomfortable being stared at, so he picked up a piece of bread from the plate and handed it to Ron.

"Um... okay, I can have one." Ron said, but still naturally took it. This made Harry breathe a sigh of relief.

Sure enough, this method worked on Ron.

Ron finished his bread in a few bites and seemed to be in a good mood. At that moment, Harry also finished his breakfast and casually put his plate back on the bedside table.

"Oh, right, I forgot to ask earlier, how are Fred and George doing lately?" he asked casually.

"Them? They're doing great now, business is booming! I've been wanting to go check out their shop, but Mom says it's not safe yet, we have to wait until Dad's done with work before we go."

"But who knows when Dad won't be so busy anymore?"

"What about Percy? Didn't he come back?" Harry asked again.

"No." Ron shook his head.

"Why? Doesn't he know the truth now?" Harry asked, puzzled.

"Who knows?" Ron said. "Maybe it's pride? I don't know."

"I heard he's not doing so well lately. After Fudge stepped down, Scrimgeour didn't retain him, and he probably lost his job too. Apparently, he's now renting a small apartment alone in London."

"That's not surprising," Hermione interjected. "Percy is a proud man, and he's always believed his decisions were right."

"But he's wrong," Ron said.

"So you don't want him to come back?" Hermione asked.

"No...no, I mean...Mom misses him." Ron stammered, but Harry could tell he missed Percy, even though their relationship wasn't exactly close.

Ron looked a little awkward, and Harry didn't know what to say to comfort him. He exchanged a glance with Hermione, and with her encouraging look, Harry decided to distract Ron with something important.

"By the way, Dumbledore talked to me a lot last night, and there's something I think I should tell you," he said.

"What?" Ron asked immediately.

"Regarding the prophecy we found at the Department of Mysteries..."

"A prophecy? Wasn't it broken?" Ron asked, puzzled.

"That's right, but that doesn't mean nobody knows what the prophecy is about," Harry explained. "Dumbledore knew, and he told me that night too."

"What is that?"

"Actually... I don't really understand either, but it seems to mean that I'm the one who killed Voldemort... or at least, only one of us can survive."

"This..." Ron was stunned, unsure of what to say. Harry, however, noticed Ron's embarrassment and comforted him, "It's alright, Dumbledore said he'll be giving me private lessons this term."

"So you can rest assured, if he thought I was doomed, he definitely wouldn't say that."

"Now, at least it proves I still have a chance to win, doesn't it?"
