Chapter 246 Intelligence

Chapter 246 Intelligence

As an outstanding spy who has repeatedly swung between the forces of good and evil without ever suffering harm, Narcissa and Bella's message to him was delivered to Dumbledore that very night.

"Any news, Dumbledore?"

At Black's old house, a meeting of the Order of the Phoenix was underway, and all the members were present, a rare occurrence. Sirius noticed that Dumbledore had suddenly stopped moving, and only after a while did he adjust his glasses.

This scene had happened many times before, and he knew very well that this was Dumbledore's reaction when he received a secret message.

"Something interesting, but I need to think about it..." Dumbledore shook his head slightly, changing the subject. "Let's continue. Where were we, Hagrid?"

Hagrid leaned forward slightly, causing the table in front of him to wobble, and said in a low voice, "Well, what I'm trying to say is that we probably can't win those giants back."

"I sneaked into their current camp and met the giants who had previously been on our side, but Strayed had left a deep impression on them, and they rejected me outright."

"I'm sorry, Dumbledore, I failed."

"It's alright, Hagrid," Dumbledore said. "It was just an experiment. Giants are a group that worships the strong, and besides, the boy did it in front of all the giants."

"It has to be said that his growth has exceeded our expectations."

"Dumbledore, I have an idea..." Moody began, "Perhaps we could send Miss Granger..."

"No, Alastor, we will not do such a thing." Dumbledore refused outright. "I will not send underage wizards onto the battlefield as long as I am alive."

"Alright, Dumbledore," Moody replied, "but you have to consider that we're dealing with more than just the Dark Lord now. In my opinion, Strayed is even more dangerous than the Dark Lord."

"He's not an adult yet, Dumbledore." Moody's Magic Eye stared straight at Dumbledore, the dense scars on his face looking particularly horrifying.

"I understand, Alastor. I'll consider it." Dumbledore nodded, then turned to the Weasleys and said, "Arthur, Molly, what do you think about my suggestion that Harry go to the Burrow for a while, around the time school starts?"

"Hey, Dumbledore!" Sirius exclaimed before the Weasleys could reply. "I think Harry could stay with me too. After all, I'm his godfather, and godsons should stay with their godfathers."

“But the Burrow is much happier than this, isn’t it, Sirius?” Mrs. Weasley said. Sirius opened his mouth, but found himself unable to refute.

Admittedly, he could invite Ron and the others over, and have Harry's friends keep him company, but no matter what, Black's Old House would never feel as pleasant as the Burrow.

In fact, even he himself preferred the Burrow, but he had no choice; he needed the Blake House, and the Blake House needed him.

Dumbledore watched Mrs. Weasley and Sirius's conversation with a smile. After Mrs. Weasley successfully delivered the final blow, he said, "Then it's settled. Arthur, Molly, I will personally escort him there."

"That would be perfect." This time, even Sirius Black voted in favor. With Dumbledore personally escorting him, Harry's safety on the road would be completely assured.

"Alright, another one done." Dumbledore glanced down at the parchment in front of him, drew another line on it, and said, "So only one last thing remains..."

He then looked at Mrs. Weasley and asked seriously, "Molly, when are we going to eat? I'm starving."

Everyone laughed, and Mrs. Weasley waved her hands exaggeratedly. She stood up, opened the door, and said, "Now! Let's eat now!"

The others went to the restaurant in twos and threes. Molly had made a delicious stew today, and the beef had been simmering for an entire afternoon. With the Weasley family's secret ingredients, just thinking about it made their mouths water, and they couldn't wait to eat it.

Dumbledore gathered the parchment on the table and was about to leave when Moody stopped him.

"Alastor, what's wrong?" he asked.

Moody's Magic Eyes darted around rapidly. Sirius and Lupin, who hadn't left yet, understood that Moody wanted to discuss some confidential matters with Dumbledore. Seeing this, they shrugged and went out together, closing the door behind them.

"Now you can speak, Alastor."

"Of course." Moody's expression was serious. "Dumbledore, I know you have your reasons, but regarding my suggestion just now, I think you should reconsider."

"There's nothing to consider, Alastor," Dumbledore refused outright. "She's still a child."

"Yes, a child who can use magic that even Aoruo can't master," Moody retorted sharply, showing no weakness. "Don't forget, she used the Time-Turner for two consecutive years; strictly speaking, she's already an adult!"

"As long as she hasn't graduated from Hogwarts, she's still a child." Dumbledore looked directly at Moody, who didn't flinch.

After a long while, Dumbledore sighed first, sat down, and gestured for Moody to sit down as well.

"Alastor, I know Miss Granger better than you do. She is indeed outstanding, but it's unrealistic to expect her to get involved with Stradler."

"I have to admit, he grew very quickly during the year he spent with Voldemort. If Fudge and the others hadn't arrived at the Ministry that day, I might have died that night..."

"What are you talking about, Dumbledore!" Moody shouted. "You were clearly dominating those two that day!"

"I am over a hundred years old, Alastor, and I can clearly feel my magic draining away," Dumbledore sighed. "And Stryker, perhaps soon will become like Voldemort and me."

"Fortunately, I still have some time..."

Upon hearing this, Moody immediately understood and exclaimed in surprise, "You don't mean... No! Dumbledore, no!"

"We can think of other ways; there must be other ways..."

"Alright, Alastor, it's not time yet. I can hold out for a while longer," Dumbledore said with a smile. "For a short time, I can still do what I did that night, but only if Voldemort doesn't find what he needs."

"So, I may have to leave for a while."

"But don't worry, I'll be back before summer vacation ends, and I won't forget to take Harry to the Burrow."

Updates might be delayed until next Friday, the 22nd. My supervisor is scheduled to inspect on the 22nd, so I'll be working crazy overtime during this period. Please forgive me.
