Chapter 228 The Battle of the Bureau of Mysteries

Chapter 228 The Battle of the Mysterious Affairs Department (Part 4)

Q: How long would it take Ike to defeat Moody when he's at full power?

A: Half a minute.

As he grew another year older, Ike's magic power exploded once again. At the same time, Old Voldemort taught him a lot, mostly about combat, including the combination of spells in battle and the flexible use of silent spells and staffless spells. Sometimes, when the mood struck, he would even give him some pointers.

Moody clearly hadn't anticipated this; he misjudged Ike's strength, and Ike's defeat was to be expected after Ike unleashed his full power.

Looking down at Moody lying on the ground, the demonic eye was not far away. With a slight movement of his fingers, he moved Moody's body to a corner, and then opened the door through which Harry and the others had escaped.

As soon as I entered, two spells flew over, which I easily blocked with the Ironclad Spell. They stopped there and watched the chaotic battle below.

The Hall of Death has a unique layout, resembling a gladiatorial arena. It is surrounded by circular stone steps, with a deep pit in the center. In the pit, there is a slightly raised circular floor. Above it is a stone door composed of two stone pillars, and a tattered curtain hangs on it, swaying slightly even though there is no wind.

The Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters were locked in a fierce battle, with all sorts of spells flying everywhere. One second they might be attacking the person in front of them, and the next second they might be turning around to fight.

Hermione and Luna lay beneath the lowest platform, with Tonks beside them locked in combat with Lukwood. On the other side of the curtain were Mr. Weasley and Lucius, their old rivals. Kingsley caught Dolohoff, Lupin faced McNeil, but the most intense battle raged between Sirius and Bellatrix, the siblings, as they exchanged insults and curses.

"Bang!"

In the midst of such fierce fighting, Ron quickly became the third person to fall. The injury to his leg slowed his escape, making him less agile and unable to dodge the stun spell that struck him.

Next up was Ginny, who couldn't hold on any longer after the Death Eater who had defeated Ron joined the fight.

"This won't do..." Harry watched helplessly as the two lay on the ground, their fates unknown. He desperately wanted to think of a solution, but nothing came to mind. He jumped aside, dodging a spell aimed at him, and then collapsed to the ground.

Not far away, Neville was wriggling around.

"Are you alright?" Harry called out, shrinking back as another spell flew over his head.

"It's nothing." Neville struggled to get up, but couldn't.

Suddenly, Harry lunged forward, pulling Neville aside and rolling away. Almost the instant they rolled, an explosive spell struck the spot where they had just been, creating a large crater.

"Give it to me!" A thick arm lifted Harry up with one hand, while the other reached into the pocket where Harry's prophecy orb was.

"Go to hell!"

Neville leaped to his feet and punched the man right in the eye socket. The man screamed and released Harry. Harry quickly turned around, panting, and shouted, "Unconscious!"

The man fell straight down; it was the unfortunate McNeil. He had previously managed to force Lupin back and was trying to obtain the Prophecy Orb while Harry and Neville were scrambling to avoid it, but unexpectedly became the first Death Eater to withdraw from the fight.

It was even earlier than those nameless extras.

"The prophecy ball is coming!"

Before Harry could react, the prophecy ball suddenly flew out of his pocket. He quickly reached out to grab it, but only his fingertips touched it; the ball continued to wobble and fly upwards.

He could see clearly that the destination was at the very top of the stairs, where Ike was waiting.

"The prophecy ball is coming!"

"The prophecy ball is coming!"

Lupin and Harry cast a spell on the prophecy orb almost simultaneously, and the orb, which was flying upwards, immediately stopped in mid-air and then fell straight down.

Harry rushed toward the ball's landing point and dove, but he was too hasty and didn't put in enough effort. Even though he reached out as far as he could, he couldn't catch it.

"No... well done, Neville!"

Just as Harry fell to the ground, Neville rushed past him from behind and caught the prophecy orb, much to his delight.

"Get out of here with the prophecy orb! Quickly!"

Mr. Weasley deflected a spell and shouted at them. The two quickly scrambled to their feet, helping each other up. But before they could take two steps, Lucius knocked them down. Neville was thrown to the ground, and Harry's body leaned backward, only his left arm holding the orb of prophecy held high to prevent it from breaking.

"Bang!"

Lucius pressed down on Harry, but being stronger, he managed to press his wand against Harry's ear first.

"Give it to me, Potter!"

"No...no...Neville, here..." Harry struggled to swing his left arm, and after dodging Lucius's hand that was reaching for the Prophecy Orb, he forcefully flung it toward Neville.

"Gurgle gurgle..."

The prophecy ball rolled on the ground, and Neville caught it with his hands and feet. But before he could get up, a hand snatched the ball from his arms. Neville looked up and saw Ike's cold, expressionless face.

"No!"

"Hahaha……"

Harry roared in frustration, but Lucius threw his head back and laughed. He pressed his wand against Harry again, snarling, "You're finished, Potter!"

"Disarm you!"

"Obstacles are numerous!"

At that moment, two spells struck. Lucius was hit by a disarming spell, and his wand flew out of his hand. Another barrier spell was aimed at Ike, but it was easily blocked.

But at the same time, Neville, who was standing at his feet, suddenly became fierce. He grabbed Ike's right leg and pulled hard, causing Ike to stumble. At the same time, Harry also took the opportunity to ram into Ike and hit him hard on the right arm that was holding the Prophecy Orb.

"Snapped!"

Ike lost his footing, and the Prophecy Ball slipped from his grasp. This time, Neville and Lucius lunged at the ball together, but Neville jumped up from the ground and collided with Lucius, the two tumbling into each other. The Prophecy Ball, meanwhile, flew straight out and, to everyone's surprise, crashed into the stone steps.

"Click..."

A massive white phantom rose from the shattered orb of prophecy, but amidst the surrounding cacophony of shouts, screams, and the deafening explosions of clashing spells, no one could discern the prophecy's meaning. Even after the figure finished reciting the prophecy, not a single word was understood.

"What have you done!" Lucius yelled, his face contorted with rage as he stared intently at Harry and Neville. Ike also wore a grim expression, coldly observing the two.

The wand suddenly appeared in his hand, and Ike swung it down at the two of them. A huge golden light suddenly flashed and arrived in front of them in the blink of an eye. The dazzling light made them involuntarily close their eyes.

"Bang!"

An even more dazzling white light shone forth, instantly shattering the golden light. For a moment, everyone stopped fighting, staring blankly at the figure that had stood in front of Harry and Neville.

"Dumbledore...Dumbledore!" a Death Eater cried out and immediately turned to flee towards the exit, but Dumbledore lightly waved his wand and gently pulled him back.

"Go!" Ike shouted, and three beams of red light shot out at Dumbledore at the same time. While Dumbledore was blocking, he waved his hands again, grabbed Bella and the others and threw them toward the exit.

"Don't even think about running!" Sirius and the others reacted and cast spells to try to stop the fleeing group. Dumbledore also waved his wand, and all sorts of spells attacked the Death Eaters at the same time.

Ike, turning to run, didn't stop all the spells. The nameless extras were left behind, along with Lukewood and Lucius, who were being specifically targeted by Lupin and Weasley. They were struck by the spells and tumbled down the stone steps.

By the time they rolled to the bottom, they had all passed out.
