Chapter 189 McNeil

Ike had already moved aside and stood with Lucius, quietly watching Comrade Voldemort's performance.

Even now, he couldn't understand why these people were so fanatical. From any perspective, Comrade Lao Fu was not a qualified leader.

He was tyrannical, cruel, evil, and bloodthirsty, creating panic through slaughter and treating his followers and servants harshly. Yet, even such a person had people who rushed to him upon hearing the news of his resurrection, just to kiss his robes.

Ike tilted his head slightly, glanced at Lucius, Crabbe, Goyle, McNeil, and the others beside him, and finally fixed his gaze on Lucius.

"Young master..." Lucius bowed slightly and asked, sensing Ike's gaze.

"It's nothing," Ike replied casually before turning his head back.

"He's the only smart one in this group," he thought to himself.

The competition for the right to kiss the robe didn't last long. After everyone had kissed it, they all stepped back, bowed, and stood there, staring fervently at Comrade Old Fu.

Comrade Lao Fu said a few more words and then sent them all back. He told them that he would notify them when he needed them, and that the matter was entrusted to Crabbe and Gore.

For some reason, Crabbe and the Goyle family always seem a bit dull and slow, but they never make mistakes when doing simple things.

Soon, only five or six people remained in the basement. Old Fu also stopped smiling and sat steadily in his chair.

"Tell me, Lucius, give me some good news?"

"Forgive my master, but Fudge did not agree. He has focused all his energy on bringing down Dumbledore, and Azkaban is simply..."

"Alright, Lucius..." Old Voldemort tapped the table and said, "You should be glad we still have time."

"Thank you, Master."

Ignoring Lucius, who was looking down, Old Voldemort turned to Norton and asked, "What new demands have those greedy fellows made this time?"

"No, Master, they still wish to have the right to use the wand," Norton replied.

"That's impossible," Comrade Fu said. "That's the only thing we absolutely cannot agree to."

He paused for a moment, then instructed, "Talk to them again; we can relax the other conditions a bit."

"Yes, Master."

"So, McNeil, what about you?"

"Master, I have found a clue to the giant tribe."

Upon hearing this, a smile finally appeared on Comrade Fu's face, and he said, "Finally, some good news, McNeil. Tell me, how did you find it?"

McNeil recounted in detail how he discovered the clues to the giant tribe. As Old Volt listened, he rhythmically tapped the table, his smile never returning.

"However..." Suddenly, McNeil stopped, looking hesitant.

"What's wrong? Tell me!"

"Master, it seems Dumbledore has also sent someone to contact those giants," McNeil said.

"Dumbledore?" Old Voldemort thought for a moment and then understood. "Yes, he definitely wouldn't miss this..."

"However, we must win over the giants. Dumbledore and his stubborn men have already ruined many of our plans. This time, we must succeed!" Comrade Voldemort said sternly. "McNeil, it seems you have to go and find the giant tribe before Dumbledore's men and win them over."

"Yes, Master," McNeil immediately agreed, saying firmly, "I will bring them under your command."

"Remember what I told you, only by doing that can you see their leader and accomplish this task."

After a pause, as if remembering something, Old Fu turned to Ike and asked, "Little Ike, how's your situation?"

"Still no clue, teacher." Ike scratched his head, looking somewhat troubled. "It's still the same problem. The magic seems out of control. Each time, it can only produce a small spark and can't release a complete spell."

"You have too much on your mind, little Ike," said Old Voldemort. "It prevents you from being steadfast, which is why your magic fails."

"This time, you should go with McNeil. It'll be a change of scenery, a chance to relax, and you'll have someone to look after you. Even if something goes wrong, you can bring McNeil back with you."

Comrade Old Fu grabbed Ike's hand and patted it, looking very earnest. Ike didn't react much, but McNeil looked extremely grateful.

"Alright, McNeil, as long as you follow my instructions, there won't be any danger. Now that little Ike is going with you, there's even less chance of anything going wrong." Old Fu waved his hand to calm McNeil down, then said to Ike, "Go and come back soon. Even if you fail, it doesn't matter, as long as everyone comes back safe and sound."

"We'll need your help to get things done next."

"I understand, teacher," Ike replied.

Old Voldemort was very satisfied with what he saw. He had truly taken Ike seriously, and Ike's performance had indeed lived up to his expectations. Actually, he hadn't really cared much about the Titans, but knowing that Dumbledore had also sent someone, he had sent McNeil on the mission.

He could accept the giants rejecting his offer, but he could not accept the giants siding with Dumbledore.

"Let's set off tomorrow. McNeil will tell you everything later," Old Fu instructed before turning to ask others about other matters.

After a long while, Comrade Lao Fu finally finished asking all the questions and let Ike and the others leave.

After passing the stairs and just stepping out the door, McNeil called out to Ike. Lucius and the others, seeing this, didn't linger and walked away as if they hadn't seen him at all.

"Where are we going, McNeil?" Ike asked.

"France, young master." McNeil gave a slight bow, his tone carrying a hint of respect. The events of the past few months had made it clear to him that this underage boy before him was not someone to be trifled with.

"The clue I've received is that the giants are in the Alps, but we still need to search carefully to find them exactly. Starting from France is the best option. We should head west and north along the mountain range; we'll eventually find them."

Upon hearing this, Ike nodded and said, "Our teacher takes this matter very seriously. We absolutely cannot let Dumbledore's people succeed."

"Speaking of which, I've never been abroad before. I'll be relying on you for the journey, McNeil."

Ike flashed a bright smile, which eased McNeil's tense heart a little, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but turn up slightly.

"Don't worry, little master, leave the journey to me."

As he spoke, he nodded slightly, a hint of excitement in his voice.
