Magical Studies at Hogwarts...

Chapter 152 Be Honest

Chapter 152 Be Honest

When Ike woke up, the first thing he saw was Hermione sitting by his bedside, reading a book.

I didn't disturb her; I just quietly watched her with her head down.

"Awake?" Perhaps sensing it, Hermione casually raised her head, revealing a hint of surprise.

He smiled, wanting to raise his hand to touch Hermione's hair, but felt powerless. After a moment's thought, he understood.

"It looks like it's been a while," Ike said.

"No, not at all." Hermione closed her book. "That was just yesterday."

"So, what kind of punishment did I receive?"

"Detention, and a one-semester ban from Hogsmeade," Hermione replied.

Ike naturally took Hermione's hand and said with a smile, "Looks like I'll have to trouble you to bring me a swarm of cockroaches later."

"I would never buy that kind of thing." She twisted her nose, but her face was beaming with a smile.

The two laughed for a while before Hermione stopped laughing and said seriously, "What happened to you this time is very serious. Snape wanted to take this opportunity to expel you. If it weren't for Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall, it might have actually happened."

"After all, you beat Professor Moody like that, which is unprecedented in the entire history of Hogwarts."

"Well, looks like I'm in luck." Ike smiled, then asked, "Did Mrs. Pomfrey say when I could be discharged?"

"You want to leave now? No way." Hermione shook her head. "Madam Pomfrey said your injuries are serious and you'll need to stay for at least a week."

"You need to rest and let your magic recover," Hermione said.

"Running out of magic? I'm good at that," Ike laughed. "It's just a matter of a good night's sleep, Hermione."

"Stop joking around." Hermione slapped Ike on the shoulder. "You know that yourself, don't you?"

"Don't force yourself, just stay here quietly, I'll stay with you."

"Okay, I'll do as you say." Ike nodded in agreement.

Just as Hermione said, he was extremely weak now, as if he had been hollowed out.

The cost of that spell was somewhat unexpected; once activated, he couldn't stop it, which was quite troublesome.

It seems that we'll need to make some improvements after it's finished.

"By the way, where's Professor Moody?" Ike looked around, but all he could see was a curtain that had been drawn around the perimeter.

"He's here too." Hermione pursed her lips to the side. "You practically broke all his bones and he bled a lot, but compared to you, he's not that bad."

"Madam Pomfrey used magic to set his bones and gave him medicine, so he might be able to leave tomorrow."

As she spoke, Hermione suddenly leaned closer and whispered, "What kind of magic did he use on you? How did it trigger your... magic?"

"The Soul-Stealing Curse," Ike replied softly, "but he used his full power on me."

"I see." Hermione nodded. "Professor Moody is quite pitiful. I heard that he already had serious mental problems before he agreed to Dumbledore's offer, but I didn't expect him to also have an alcoholism problem."

"Can you imagine what the first thing he'll do after he wakes up?"

"He actually took a sip of wine from his own flask first!"

"But I must say, Professor Moody is indeed a very good professor..."

"Hmm... second only to Professor Lupin."

Hermione spoke, and Ike nodded in agreement from time to time. From a certain perspective, Hermione was right; "Moody" was indeed a very good Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Anyone who could obtain twelve certificates in the OWLs exams was no ordinary person.

However, this "Moody's" is not the same as that Moody's.

Hermione stayed with Ike until dark before leaving with her book. Not long after she left, Madam Pomfrey brought two small bottles and watched Ike drink them with a bitter expression.

"Drink it, child, I know it tastes awful." Mrs. Pomfrey smiled kindly and handed Ike a honey-flavored candy. "Have one, take a break. You'll be drinking it for at least another week."

"Thank you, Mrs. Pomfrey," Ike said, with a candy in his mouth.

"It's alright, just don't come here for this reason next time," Madam Pomfrey said. "Constantly depleting your magic can leave permanent damage."

"It won't happen again next time," Ike nodded.

"That's for the best." Mrs. Pomfrey put on a fierce expression, then smiled in an instant.

Put away the empty bottles and thoughtfully put a curtain for Aycla.

"Get some rest, Ike."

Lying in bed, Ike closed his eyes and carefully felt the magic within his body.

It was empty, but like a spring, a current was quietly growing stronger.

They seem to be quite active.

"Perhaps it won't take a week," Ike calculated in his mind.

Generally, young wizards under the age of eleven will experience magical outbursts from time to time until they reach the age of eleven. This is why magic schools in various countries set the age of admission for new students at eleven.

Later, as the young wizard grows older, his magic will increase, and around the age of fifteen or sixteen, it will experience a surge as his body develops.

Given Ike's use of the Time Converter, the time when his magic power surged should be around this time.

It was quite a coincidence; if we hadn't happened to encounter this surge in magic power, it might have really caused permanent damage, just as Madam Pomfrey said.

A little while later, Hermione came back with a paper bag containing chicken sandwiches and some fried chicken, which she had packed for Ike at dinner.

After Ike finished eating, the two chatted for a while before Hermione left.

Having taken twelve courses herself, it's already quite an achievement for her to be able to find the time to come here; even with a time converter, the burden would still be heavy.

It was getting darker and darker, and the school hospital was quiet.

At midnight, Ike quietly got out of bed, drew the curtains, and began searching for "Moody".

After quietly observing several students who had moved in for various reasons, Ike finally found the right place.

With a flick of his finger, the silencing spell was cast.

"Looks like you're recovering well," said Little Barty, who had a face resembling Moody's.

Ike glanced at the flask on the bedside table and said, "Don't let this method give you away."

"Don't worry, if you don't come back again, there won't be any problems," Little Barty chuckled.

"This isn't my fault," Ike said. "It's you who had those inappropriate thoughts."

"So you deserve it."

"Hehehe, it doesn't matter." Little Barty's face twitched. "But your situation is much more serious than mine."

A piece of advice from a senior student: Don't try magic you can't control.

"Thank you, I know my own capabilities perfectly well." Ike nodded, completely unconcerned.

"Oh, right, in the classroom at the very end of the west corridor on the fifth floor, there's what you're looking for," Ike said. "Take it quickly, or it might be too late."

"Damn it, how long have you left it there?" Little Barty exclaimed excitedly.

"More than half a month, I can't remember exactly," Ike said impatiently.

"Who gave you permission to notify me in this way?"

After saying that, Ike turned to leave.

Suddenly remembering something, he turned around and waved his hand, and a point of white light instantly merged into Little Barty's body.

"What did you do to me!"

"Relax," Ike said with a smile, but it sounded terrifying to Barty.

"You've probably heard, this is the same as the one with the insect tail. As long as you stop having inappropriate thoughts, the curse won't activate."

"Finally, as your junior, let me give you a piece of advice..."

"Behave yourself..."

After saying that, he removed the silencing spell and left leisurely.
