Chapter 150 The Exposure Caused by the Soul-Stealing Curse

Chapter 150 The Exposure Caused by the Soul-Stealing Curse

That evening, back in the dorm, with Michael and Anthony there too, Ike simply tossed four badges to them.

"What is this?" Terry stared in astonishment at the huge SPEW on the badge.

"As you can see, a badge."

"What badge? SPEW? Want to vomit?"

"No, it's the House-Elf Rights Promotion Association. I'm the chief promoter, and you're the members." Ike put the book on the desk. "By the way, two siecos each. Here's the money."

"This is...the one Hermione made?" Stewart, who was well-informed, asked tentatively. When Ike nodded, he immediately threw the badge onto the bed.

"That's simply impossible!"

"And, you two! Why don't you just rob Gringotts?!"

"Believe me, Gringotts isn't so easy to rob," Ike said seriously. "Besides, this money is for the association's development; it has a legitimate purpose."

As he spoke, Ike extended his hand.

Just as Stuart was about to say something, Michael and Terry pulled him aside, and he noticed the cushions and pillows that had floated up and surrounded them at some point.

"I'd love to be a house-elf..." Stuart counted out two Sickles and solemnly placed them in Ike's hands.

"What association was it again?"

"House-Elf Rights Promotion Association," Ike replied in a serious tone.

"Yes, that's right, they are... members of the association!"

After paying their fees, the group watched as the "floating objects" returned to their original positions and breathed a sigh of relief.

Having experienced Ike's "pillow technique" before, they certainly don't want to experience it again.

"Don't worry, I guarantee this money will come back to you." Ike said, putting the money away. "Or how about you consider it a loan? Doesn't that make you feel better?"

"Never mind, let's just consider it support for Hermione's 'great cause'." Terry shook his head helplessly.

"Honestly, wasn't it impossible for you not to tell her this?"

"I told you, but..." Ike shrugged, and everyone immediately understood.

They were aware of Hermione's stubbornness.

Over the next few days, the House-Elf Rights Promotion Society grew rapidly, with almost all fourth-year students from houses other than Slytherin joining, but progress was slow in other grades.

It is obvious that the association's development has hit a bottleneck, but there seems to be no way to fix it.

In fact, even the existing members are basically friends of Ike and Hermione, just to support their friends' occasional "craziness".

Liberate house-elves? They're not crazy!

Moreover, thanks to Ike's strong suggestion and the modified association badge, it has many more functions, including temperature control, dirt prevention, and looks great. For two dollars, it's not a bad deal to buy such a "decoration".

Of course, Hermione was unaware of this. She thought Ike had really put his energy into it and even used it as an example to give Harry and Ron a good scolding.

The two of them were angry but dared not speak out...

But it's alright, it'll just be a little bit of fun in my otherwise boring life.

In October, after demonstrating almost every dangerous form of dark magic, Moody came up with a new trick: he decided to teach his students how to resist the Possession Curse.

This was undoubtedly an outrageous decision, and what was even more outrageous was that Dumbledore actually tacitly approved of Moody's actions.

"I think Professor Moody has his reasons for doing this." Dumbledore said this after being asked by countless people.

And so, the entire Hogwarts was taken over by the "Soul-Stealing Curse".

In each class, Moody would call the students up one by one and use the Soul-Stealing Charm on them, making them do all sorts of bizarre things.

The Ravenclaw boy, Ristour, had the worst experience. He'd tried tap dancing and ballet, and once even crawled on the floor like a puppy, nearly performing in front of everyone. Among the girls was Moratti, who jumped upside down on the table, performed a series of extremely difficult yoga poses, and even squeezed herself into a small box.

Almost everyone suffered this "torture," but Ike "luckily" escaped it every time.

"I am very disappointed that none of you have managed to resist the Persecuting Curse," Professor Moody said after yet another "successful" lecture. "Porter did it two weeks ago, and now my Persecuting Curse doesn't even work on him."

"Are you really the Ravenclaws, known for their wisdom?"

"Hufflepuff, however, did not surprise me."

"get out of class dismissed!"

Perhaps it was Professor Moody's arrogant demeanor, or perhaps it was because he had repeatedly escaped unscathed, but someone directly retorted, "Professor, there are still people who haven't experienced your Soul-Stealing Curse!"

"You mean Stradwell, right? I don't think he needs to go through this."

"But I don't think you should be treated specially!"

"That's right!"

"Let's cast a Soul Reaper on Ekko too!"

The classroom instantly descended into chaos, with everyone talking at once, creating a complete mess. Even Stuart and his friends joined in the commotion.

"Hehe..." Looking at the chaotic scene, Moody suddenly chuckled sinisterly, his demonic eye darting around.

"Since you insist, then... Ike Streid, come forward!"

Ike glanced helplessly at the indignant people around him, as well as those like Hermione and Stuart who were ready to watch the show, and then walked up leisurely, standing at the front with his back to Moody.

"The soul leaves the body!"

Ike shrugged.

"The soul leaves the body!"

Ike winked at Hermione.

"The soul leaves the body!"

He even waved to everyone.

"You all saw it, didn't you? Strayed is perfectly capable of resisting the Soul-Stealing Curse," Moody said, putting away his wand.

"That's impossible!"

"This is fake! You didn't use the Soul-Stealing Curse at all!"

Someone muttered something under their breath, but in the unusually quiet classroom because of Ike's performance, the words were particularly clear.

Then, even louder discussions arose.

"Bang! Bang!"

Moody slammed his cane on the floor twice, and then fell silent again.

His demonic eyes spun even faster, and everyone felt as if that thing was staring at them, as if it could see right through them.

"Strider, I'm going to use my full power on you with the Soul-Stealing Curse!" Moody shouted, pointing his wand at Ike.

"The soul leaves the body!"

Before Ike could react, a flash of white light appeared on the tip of Moody's staff, and under everyone's gaze, Ike moved.

With arms outstretched, head tilted slightly upward, and toes pointed, she struck a ballet pose.

As Moody's wand moved, Ike's left leg also moved, lifting to the side.

But it was slow, and it was clear that Ekko was resisting.

On stage, Moody's magic eyes spun faster and faster; below the stage, a group of students looked over with expectant eyes.

Gradually, Ike's legs bent, as if he would jump to the side at any moment.

Suddenly, a spell rune shimmering with a soft, silvery-white light flashed across Ike's body, and Moody immediately snorted and raised his wand sharply.

The next moment, to everyone's astonishment, his body slammed violently into the wall behind him, smashing right through it.

"boom!"

Before anyone could react, the entire wall collapsed.

Amidst billowing dust, Moody's body slowly rose from the ruins, gradually moving towards Ike.

It was only then that people noticed that strands of golden threads had somehow appeared around Ike, flowing like water from his ankles to the top of his head and then to his outstretched wand.

"This isn't the level of classroom practice we should be having, Professor Moody?" Ike's tone was cold, his eyes staring emotionlessly at the listless Moody floating before him.

Or rather...

Little Batty!
