Chapter 133 The Agreement

Except for fifth and seventh graders, the other grades are enjoying a pleasant holiday while they still have a week of exams.
Both OWLs and NEWTs are exams that run for two weeks. The second week is a bit easier, as you only take one exam each day. However, the results will be sent via owl during the holidays and you won't receive them before the farewell dinner.
But that doesn't matter anymore. The exam is over, and I'm free. Who cares about the results now?
"Let fate decide." Penelope slumped onto the sofa in the lounge, her usual dignified and elegant demeanor completely gone, exuding a strong smell of salty fish.
This is not an isolated case; it happens to almost all seventh graders.
Except for the first and second graders, everyone else was already used to it.
"Have you decided what you'll do after graduation, Crevat?" Roger asked.
"Don't bring up such a spoilsport at a time like this, Roger Davis!" Penelope scratched her head in annoyance. "I swear, I'll turn you into a mouse and throw you to Filch's cat!"
"Alright, alright, I won't ask anymore." Roger was completely defeated. Rats, Filch, Mrs. Lorris, this was simply the most vicious curse!
Ike and Stewart were sitting not far away. When they saw Roger's appearance, they couldn't help but laugh. Stewart and Anthony, both current Quidditch players, pointed at Roger and whispered, as if afraid he wouldn't understand that everyone was laughing at him.
The morning passed by in laughter and conversation. After their afternoon nap, everyone tacitly began packing their belongings. This had almost become a routine; nearly everyone did the same.
Ike's method is very simple: just throw everything into the suitcase and it's done. They will go to their proper places on their own, without Ike having to go inside and organize them one by one.
Stuart and his group had a bit more work, but they finished in an afternoon, with another three or five boxes full. Ike just watched them unpack, petting the cat and eating a pile of cockroaches, looking incredibly content.
!
Petting a cat!
Ike suddenly realized that Crookshanks had been with him the whole time. He greeted Stuart and then hurriedly ran towards the Gryffindor common room with the cat in his arms.
After Sirius's innocence was cleared, the trolls were removed, but a week later, the stench still lingered. Even the fat lady in the portrait covered her mouth and nose with a handkerchief, as if she could smell it.
"Hey, Ike." Neville stood outside the door with a gloomy look on his face, and greeted Ike as he came over.
"Neville, why aren't you going in? The fat lady should have allowed you to go in with the password, right?"
On the night the Harlem dormitory was ransacked, Professor McGonagall discovered that Sirius Black's password had been lost by Neville. Enraged, Professor McGonagall stripped Neville of his right to use the password to enter the common room, forcing him to wait for someone else to lead him in.
However, this punishment was lifted after the Sirius Black incident.
"I...I forgot..."
"..."
Okay, that fits Neville's character perfectly.
There was no other way; they had originally planned to have Neville go in and call Hermione out, but now the two of them could only wait together.
After quite a while, a fourth-year student finally arrived. Clearly used to Neville as their "gatekeeper," he readily led him inside. A short while later, Hermione came out.
"What do you want?" Hermione seemed a little impatient, firmly blocking the slightly ajar door with her body, her eyes sharp, as if urging Ike to get to the point.
Ike tapped his feet; he was now a bit taller than Hermione and could just see a few heads trying to rush out.
"Um... Crookshank has been with me all this time, but since the holidays are coming up soon, I thought I'd send it back to you."
"It's not very convenient to keep it during the holidays."
Hermione looked into Ike's eyes and read a hint of hesitation in them. She understood what was going on and then took Crookshanks's bag. "Alright, if there's nothing else, I'll head back."
As he spoke, he leaned back again.
"There's one more thing."
"What?" Hermione was getting impatient; she could barely keep up with the heads behind her.
"It's Jimmy, could you please take care of him for a little longer...?"
"No problem!" Hermione agreed immediately, turned around abruptly, threw Crookshanks inside, and kept pushing the protruding heads away with both hands.
Ike saw it all clearly from the doorway, and he swore that Harry and Ginny received the most slaps in the face; Hermione didn't hold back at all, and the blows were quite forceful.
The farewell banquet that evening was as lavish as ever, and the Great Hall, just as Ike had predicted, was adorned with Ravenclaw blue. The young eagles were overjoyed; the chance to defend their House Cup title was rare. The other houses also applauded for Ravenclaw after Dumbledore announced the House Cup winner.
No one would be stingy with such basic courtesy.
As Dumbledore announced, "The dinner is about to begin," a dazzling array of delicious food appeared on the long table, and the Great Hall immediately became noisy.
Ike ate with great pleasure. He hadn't enjoyed the food so wholeheartedly many times throughout the entire semester; most of the time, he was just trying to fill his stomach.
Now, with delicious steak, crispy fried chicken legs, sweet pumpkin juice, and the perfect homemade "chocolate milk," it's impossible to stop eating.
After all these years, Stuart and the others had long been used to Ike's unusual fondness for cockroaches. Today was a farewell dinner, and they even joked about it when they got into the mood.
Unlike Ike's treatment, when Dumbledore made his own "chocolate milk" on the professor's table, Professor McGonagall glared at him coldly and, in front of Dumbledore, humanely destroyed the cup of heresy, causing the students who noticed this to burst into laughter.
Ike laughed too, and he received Dumbledore's reward: his "chocolate milk" was treated the same way.
In the end, the only one who was unhappy was Ekko.
The next day, the Thestral carriage was filled with laughter and cheers, especially when it drove out of the gates of Hogwarts, when the cheers grew even louder.
"That pesky Dementor is gone!"
"Long live Hogwarts!"
The cheers only stopped when they boarded the Hogwarts Express.
"Ike!" As soon as he got out of the car, he saw Hermione standing in front of the car door. The window next to her was filled with heads, including a cat's head.
"What's wrong, Hermione?" Ike, who had been shoved by Stewart, staggered a bit, glared at his group of friends, and then asked with a smile.
"You live in Gloucester, right? If it's alright... I mean, if you're free, you could come to London..."
"We can go together...to Big Ben...to St. Paul's Cathedral...to Buckingham Palace..."
"No, what I mean is..."
"OK."
"...Actually, watching the game would be fine, but to be honest, I'm not..." Hermione paused, then asked, "What did you just say?"
"I said yes, I will go to London."
"Then write to me in advance?"
"no problem."
