Chapter 130 Full Moon Night

Chapter 130 Full Moon Night

"...So, in a way, Snape was right about me; I am indeed a weak person." Professor Lupin quietly recounted the story of the past, a time when nothing had changed—the time when the four of them studied and lived at Hogwarts.

"Snape? What does this have to do with Snape?" Sirius Black said sharply.

Lupin said gravely, "We did some really bad things, Sirius..."

"He deserved it! He was always sneaking around like that, trying to get us all fired!"

"It's not his fault. I know some things. We...we did do some very wrong things." Lupin gave Sirius a deep look, and Sirius seemed to suddenly realize what he meant, and shut his mouth.

"We're in the same grade, but we're not very close..."

"...Sirius lied to him..."

"...Dumbledore forbade him to tell anyone, but he saw it after all, and he knows that I am..."

"Werewolf! Is that why Snape doesn't like you? He thinks you're involved too?" Harry asked.

"That's right!" A mocking voice came from behind Lupin. Snape ripped off his Invisibility Cloak and pointed his wand directly at Lupin.

Snape's eyes were bloodshot, and his body trembled slightly, as if he was trying his best to suppress his emotions.

"You didn't come to me for your medicine, so I kindly brought you a drink, and then..." Snape's wand twitched, "and look who I found? A wanted criminal."

"And... there's a werewolf accomplice!"

"Azkaban is going to have two more people... no, no, one more. One of them will get a Dementor's kiss!"

"Severus, are you really going to send an innocent person to Azkaban because of a grudge from your school days?" Lupin said.

"No, no, no, there are no innocent people here." Snape flicked his wand, and Lupin was suddenly bound by a rope, one end of which was gagged.

"I've changed my mind!" She pressed her wand tightly against Sirius's head. "Give me a reason, Sirius...give me a reason..."

For a moment, the whisper sounded weak and confused.

"Professor..." Hermione mustered her courage; her intelligence already gave her an idea. "Perhaps we should listen to what they have to say..."

"Miss Granger!" Snape looked coldly at Hermione and said sharply, "Shut up! You're facing being suspended from school!"

"Severus, you're wrong this time," Sirius said. "You should listen to this; things aren't as you think..."

"Shut up! You despicable, filthy, ugly traitor!"

"I wish I could! I wish I could..."

"I'll kill you!"

Sparks crackled from the tip of the staff. Sirius closed his eyes in despair, as if quietly awaiting death.

Hermione watched this scene with bated breath, her hand gripping her wand tightly. Finally, she decided to listen to her heart…

"Disarm you!"

Hermione's sudden burst of power struck directly, accurately knocking Snape's wand away. Before he could even speak, another Disarming Charm followed, striking Snape hard and sending him flying high into the air, crashing into the wall before rolling to the side.

A bright red mark on his head stood out conspicuously.

"You should have left him to me," Sirius said, panting.

Hermione suppressed her fear and, trembling, untied the ropes binding Lupin.

"Now, tell us the truth," Hermione said, her voice calm but trembling slightly.

"I'll prove it to you." Lupin revealed his markings: "Moon face, worm tail, big feet, forked paws..."

Sirius, shall we go together?

"Of course! I've been waiting for this day for ages!" Sirius picked up Snape's wand and, together with Lupin, pointed it at Scabbers.

"three!"

"two!"

"one!"

Two beams of blue light wrapped around Banban, and its body began to writhe wildly. With a flash of light, a wrinkled, short man with a bald patch on his head appeared.

"Long time no see, Sirius, and you, Remus, my friends..." The man's voice was trembling with fear.

"Long time no see, Peter." Lupin's tone was gentle, but Sirius's was different; his words were filled with deep hatred.

"Peter...do you know...how long I've waited!"

With that, he charged forward, wand in hand.

Lupin quickly stopped him, shouting, "Calm down! Sirius! Calm down!"

After being soothed for a while, Sirius finally stopped, walked to the side in agitation, and muttered something under his breath.

"Alright, Peter, you heard us, we were just telling a story. But there are a few details we need you to fill in..."

Next, Lupin began to recount what he claimed to know, while Peter argued in a trembling voice, which only fueled Sirius's anger.

Sirius Black loudly proclaimed the whole truth, his eyes filled with murderous intent as he looked at Peter. And as Sirius recounted his story, everyone learned the truth.

A story about inferiority and fear, a man whose cleverness backfired, and a trial that was fourteen years overdue...

Harry's face was covered in tears, and the veins on his hand holding the wand were bulging.

"What do you want to do, son?" Sirius asked. "This isn't just my revenge."

Taking a deep breath, Harry suddenly loosened his grip on the wand.

"He should be put on trial!"

"I'm glad you did that, Harry." Lupin smiled, pointed his wand, and handcuffed himself and Peter together. "Let's go, it's time to reveal the truth."

Lupin used magic to make Snape float up, and led the hesitant Peter out first, with Sirius, Harry, and the others following behind, walking slowly.

The atmosphere was strangely relaxed. Harry and Sirius were talking quietly, while Ron limped behind them. Hermione, however, frowned; she felt something was off.

Suddenly, Lu Ping, who was walking at the front, stopped, his whole body trembling violently. Unbeknownst to him, the dark clouds dispersed, and a bright, full moon hung high in the sky.

"Run!" Hermione shouted, grabbing Ron with one hand and Harry with the other, while Sirius gave Harry a push from behind. The three of them ran for quite a distance with their heads down before looking back.

A burly werewolf was fiercely fighting with a skinny black dog, inflicting wounds on each other and splattering blood everywhere.

Not far away, Peter was cowering in fear, covering his head and trembling.

Snape lay motionless on the other side, still unconscious.

"roar!"

"roar!"

A wild howl rang out, and several times the black dog was thrown aside by the werewolf, falling heavily to the ground. But each time, it became frightened, and pounced again as if it had no fear whatsoever.

Harry stared blankly at the scene, suddenly feeling a familiar chill. Looking up, he saw countless Dementors floating in the air, heading towards the bloody battlefield.

"No!"

Harry, wand in hand, ignored Hermione and Ron's attempts to dissuade him and ran back without hesitation.

"Call upon God... Summon the Guardians!"
