Magical Studies at Hogwarts...

Chapter 106 Vitality Tonic

Chapter 106 Vitality Tonic

With their numerical advantage and Professor Lupin's supervision, everyone successfully practiced the comical spell, with excellent results. This made Lupin the most popular professor in the entire university.

The Defense Against the Dark Arts professors from previous years were really unreliable, so when a reliable one suddenly appeared, everyone was naturally satisfied.

After the Defense Against the Dark Arts class ended, Hogwarts was about to have a two-day holiday. This brought a sigh of relief to the third-year wizards.

The relaxed course schedule of the past two years made them quite unaccustomed to the current packed schedule, so they took the weekend to relax. Stuart and the others agreed to finish all their assignments that evening and then enjoy their weekend in the dorm.

Ike didn't participate in it.

Alchemy, Ravenclaw manuscripts, the Forbidden Books, potions, the mysteries of the Time-Turner, and the Boggart he had just met—these were all part of his studies this year.

Of course, Ike wouldn't be able to achieve much in normal times, but now that he has a time converter, he has an extra few hours in a day, which can allow his magic level to leap forward in a year.

The method comes from a fan fiction I read before: since the time converter can be used for studying, it can naturally be used for sleeping.

This was confirmed after Ike confirmed that the Time-Turner did not create a new timeline.

At 11 p.m., after curfew, Ike began his daily nighttime stroll. He easily found his way to the forbidden book section, selected one of the dark magic books he hadn't dared to touch last year, and went straight to the Room of Requirement to begin studying.

This is a black magic book titled "Offer Your Soul," which describes proven and highly complex rituals involving the sacrifice of souls. To be precise, the persecution of wizards in the Middle Ages was somewhat related to these sacrificial rituals.

Ike certainly didn't intend to use this evil magic against anyone, but he needed to know how to discover and destroy it; he was simply broadening his horizons.

Five hours had passed in the Requirement Room. Ike promptly switched the time converter back to five hours earlier, then left the Requirement Room and returned to his dormitory to sleep. In terms of timing, this was perfectly timed to avoid clashing with his trip to the forbidden book section in the middle of the night, making it a seamless transition.

When Ike woke up the next morning, he still remembered what he had seen the night before and felt genuinely happy.

His plan succeeded! He didn't even feel tired at all.

It has to be said that the feeling of repeatedly jumping back and forth on the timeline and exploiting bugs is really addictive, just like the Wind Spirit and Moon Shadow, making people unable to stop. At one point, Ekko even wanted to leave the Time-Turner behind.

Fortunately, I held back; it's not like I won't get this in the future.

If all goes well, that day won't be too far away.

Time flies, especially for Ike, who is indulging in the pleasure of "wasting" time. He is getting so confused about the days that he checks his class schedule every morning and carries a pocket watch with him to avoid making mistakes.

"Mr. Stradl, come to my office."

Having just finished a Potions class, Ike was about to leave when Snape called him back. After saying hello to Stuart, Ike, carrying his books, followed Snape to his office.

The inside was the same as before, except that a flame was burning under the crucible, and a kind of magic potion was being brewed inside. Ike had never smelled it before; it was a new variety.

"Wolfsbane Potion?" Ike wondered.

"It seems that our Mr. Streid has learned a very advanced magic, which allows him to suddenly disappear and then reappear in a place that no one would expect."

Snape sat in the chair, his hands folded on his lap, his tone as always very "Snape-like".

"Professor..." Ike was about to say something when Snape interrupted him, "I don't know who gave you the courage to use the Time-Turner like this."

"It makes sense that this magical item is under the Ministry of Magic's control. Five hours is a safety threshold determined after countless tests, but that doesn't mean it's absolutely safe."

"Look at yourself, don't you feel that your hair is growing too fast?"

Subconsciously touching his hair, Ike suddenly realized that it had grown to his shoulders, whereas he used to have short hair.

Snape revealed a hint of disdain at the opportune moment.

"You should know the story of Eloise Mintab, who was trapped in 1402 for five days for abusing the Time-Turner, which caused very serious consequences."

"Using a time converter will not stop your own time. Even if you strictly adhere to the 'five-hour rule,' it doesn't mean that these consequences won't occur to you."

"Furthermore, your potion-making skills have deteriorated; now you only do what's written in the books."

"I'm sorry, Professor." Ike knew Snape meant well, "but I've decided not to change anything."

"snort!"

Snape snorted coldly, seemingly angry, and rose abruptly, tossing aside his robes as he walked into his collection room. He emerged a moment later, casually tossing a small vial of potion and a piece of parchment to Ike.

"With your intelligence, you should be able to brew it successfully, barring any unforeseen circumstances."

"Now, leave my office!"

Goodbye, Professor.

Ike clutched the potion and parchment in his hand, nodded slightly to Snape, and left his office.

As a "top student" who had already read all the textbooks for all required courses in all seven academic years, Ike recognized the potion at first glance.

Vitality Tonic, a magical potion that replenishes a wizard's energy, with effects similar to Red Bull and coffee, but even better.

Clearly, this was something Snape had prepared long ago. He knew Ike wouldn't change his mind and believed that Ike's potion-making skills were sufficient to make this potion, which was originally supposed to be learned in the fifth year.

It certainly solved Ekko's immediate problem.

After Snape's prompting, Ike suddenly became aware of the changes happening to him. The extra time was still leaving its mark on him, and some pre-existing problems were thus discovered.

At least, replenishing energy can no longer be achieved simply by sleeping.

The frequent and extreme use of the time converter, even though nearly a third of the time was spent resting, still put a great burden on Ike's mind. However, he subconsciously ignored this burden in the face of acquiring knowledge.

Ignoring it doesn't mean it doesn't exist; the emergence of vitality supplements is very timely.

Moreover, the magical world has always had a high demand for vitality tonics, giving Ike another potion that can increase his income.

It's killing two birds with one stone; it's simply perfect.
