Chapter 3 A Family

"Dad, Mom! We're back!"

After entering, Luo Feng and Luo Xia greeted each other. Their father, Luo Hongguo, who was watching TV on the sofa, smiled when he saw the two brothers and said:

"You're back. Are you hungry? Your mom has already started cooking. We can eat in a little while."

Luo Xia tossed his backpack onto the sofa and laughed, "Not really hungry yet."

He looked at Luo Hua, who was engrossed in reading, and asked, "Second Brother, what book are you reading?"

Luo Hua turned a page, adjusted his glasses, looked up at Luo Xia, and smiled, "I'm reading a book by investment guru Price."

"Tsk, I remember some of your ideas are similar to his theories and thoughts, right?"

Rorschach asked with a smile.

Luo Hua nodded and continued reading, occasionally looking up to ask Luo Xia for advice.

Although Luo Hua is very talented in investment, Luo Xia is equally adept in this area due to his exceptional comprehension.

After all, the small building they live in now was an investment he made online.

The two brothers were quietly discussing investment theories and knowledge, while Luo Hongguo watched with a broad smile on his face, his lips never drooping once they were turned up.

Luo Feng couldn't understand what his two younger brothers were discussing, so he could only shrug, sit down, and take out his history book from his schoolbag to start reviewing.

A short while later, a friendly voice came from the kitchen—

"Dinner's ready!"

Just as Luo Feng and his two brothers were about to stand up to get the food from the kitchen, their father, Luo Hongguo, stood up with a smile and said to them:

"You all study! Study! I'll go get the food!"

With that, he walked towards the kitchen.

Just then, Luo Hongguo's mother, Gong Xinlan, came out of the kitchen, saw him, glared at him, and said:

"They've already eaten, what's the point of studying? The three kids have been studying at school all day, they deserve a break!"

She looked at Luo Xia and the others and called out, "Sons, come and sit down quickly, I made your favorite braised pork today!"

"Why!"

Luo Xia and the others responded, put down their books, and went to the dining table.

At this moment, the meal prepared by her mother, Gong Xinlan, was already laid out on the table. It consisted of four dishes and a soup, including braised pork, Kung Pao chicken, stewed pork ribs with white radish, and stir-fried green vegetables.

While eating, they chatted about everyday things. Soon, they finished eating, and the three Luo brothers helped clean up the dishes.

Luo Hongguo sat on the sofa and called out to Luo Feng, "Eldest son, come here, Dad has something to tell you."

Luo Feng walked over and sat down opposite Luo Hongguo, asking with some confusion, "Dad, what's wrong?"

Luo Hongguo smiled slightly and said, "It's like this, Xiaofeng. I haven't asked you yet about your plans after graduating from high school. Can you tell your father about them now?"

Upon hearing this, Luo Feng thought for a moment and said:

"With my academic performance, I believe I can get into the top military academy in Jiangnan through the college entrance examination. I have already obtained the title of 'Senior Cadet' at the martial arts school, and once I get to the top military academy in Jiangnan, I will be directly trained as an officer. Mom and Dad, you can also directly enter the military family residential area."

Hearing this, Luo Xia, who was standing next to him, muttered to himself: "Plans can't keep up with changes. Brother, your college entrance exam didn't go well."

In the original novel, Luo Feng suddenly awakened his spiritual power during the college entrance examination, fainted in the examination room, and failed the exam.

So he didn't go to military school, and instead joined the Extreme Martial Arts Academy established by Hong, the number one martial artist on Earth, and became a martial artist.

Luo Xia didn't intend to interfere, but he was somewhat worried. Because of his presence, his older brother Luo Feng wasn't under as much pressure as in the original story. Would he still be able to awaken his spiritual power during the college entrance examination?

He was somewhat unsure...

Over here, Luo Hongguo nodded after hearing Luo Feng's words and said:

"Alright, alright, since you've already thought it through, I won't ask any more questions. But Xiaofeng, don't put too much pressure on yourself. It's okay if you don't pass the exam; our family is already quite well-off."

Luo Hua chimed in, "Yes, brother, Luo Xia and I are both making money now, so you don't need to put too much pressure on yourself."

Luo Feng glanced at Luo Hua and Luo Xia. These two boys had extraordinary talent in the financial field and had made a lot of money through investments. Thanks to them, the family was able to move out of the low-rent housing.

He smiled and said, "Don't worry, even if I don't perform well in the college entrance exam and can't get into the top military academy, I can definitely get into the second-best."

As he spoke, Luo Feng looked at his father, Luo Hongguo, and continued, "At the Second Military Academy, with the title of 'Senior Martial Arts Student,' you'll also be trained as an officer. The treatment won't be much different."

I can get into a university...

About two out of ten people can do it.

However, among high school students, only one in a thousand can obtain the title of "Advanced Student of Martial Arts School"!

Therefore, Luo Feng was not too worried about his college entrance examination results.

To be honest, he wasn't under much pressure.

Luo Hongguo looked at Luo Feng with emotion and said, "Xiao Feng, you've never caused your mother or me much worry since you were little, so just do whatever you think is right."

As he spoke, he looked at Luo Xia and called out, "Xia, come sit here, Dad has something to ask you too."

Luo Xia sat down next to Luo Feng.

Luo Hongguo looked at him and asked, "Last time you told me you planned to take the college entrance exam with your older brother. Are you confident?"

Luo Xia laughed and said, "Dad, you know I learned all the high school material back in junior high. If it weren't for the need to keep a low profile, and the fact that you can only learn at martial arts schools when you're 16, I would have taken the college entrance exam in my first year of high school."

Upon hearing this, Luo Hongguo's lips curled into a wide smile, and he had no doubt about his third son's words.

Speaking of which, Luo Hongguo's genes are really strong; he fathered three sons:

The eldest son has a natural talent for martial arts and has already earned the title of "Advanced Student of Martial Arts School" while still a high school student. He will definitely become a martial artist in the future!

Although the second son did not have the talent for martial arts, he was extremely intelligent and had extraordinary talent in the financial field. Even when he was still in junior high school, he was able to compete with some financial giants.

The third son is both scholarly and martial, excelling in all aspects. Whether it is his talent in martial arts or other areas, he combines the strengths of the eldest and second sons and fully develops them, surpassing them. He is a prodigy among the three sons!

"Since you're so confident, then go ahead and participate!"

Luo Hongguo said with a smile.

Standing nearby, Xia's mother, Gong Xinlan, asked with concern, "By the way, Xia, did your teacher agree to you taking the college entrance examination?"

"Of course I agree."

Rorschach said with a smile.

In fact, because Luo Xia was so talented, his teachers had nothing more to teach him and wholeheartedly supported his decision to skip a grade and take the college entrance exam!

"That's good." Gong Xinlan smiled and nodded upon hearing this, then asked, "Son, after you finish the college entrance exam, are you also planning to apply to the top military academy in Jiangnan?"

"No."

Luo Xia shook his head. "I plan to join the Extreme Martial Arts Academy after I finish the college entrance examination and become a martial arts practitioner."

Serving in the military requires obedience to discipline and adherence to various rules, which he fears he wouldn't be able to adapt to. Therefore, he prefers to become a martial arts practitioner rather than join the army.

At least the rules at the Extreme Martial Arts Academy are not as strict as those in the military; they are more relaxed, which suits his personality.

Gong Xinlan and Luo Hongguo exchanged a glance and asked, "Son, aren't you planning to go to university?"

Luo Xia laughed and said, "Mom, going to university would be a waste of my time. I can learn everything I need to learn by myself from books."

Luo Feng chimed in, "Dad, Mom, you both know how smart Xia is. A university degree won't be of much use to him. Let him do what he wants."

"Alright, you three brothers all have your own ideas. Your mother and I can't help you much. Make your own decisions."

Luo Hongguo concluded with a smile, ending the conversation.
