Chapter 995 Climate Anomalies

After bidding farewell to his mentor with peace of mind, Thor teleported to several other locations to assign tasks to his subordinates for the coming period before finally teleporting back to the airship port.

He looked up and saw Kismet lounging around the airport.

"I've noticed I run into you every time I come to the airport. Are you stalking me?"

Kismet sat on the ship's railing, clutching his small harp, and smiled down at Thor. "You're a fourth-tier wizard now, how could I possibly follow you?"

"Does that fourth-tier wizard just sit around playing the piano all day at the airport?"

"I'm just free during the day, but I'm very busy at night," Kismet said, pursing his lips. "Playing the piano here is more relaxing than meditating."

People came and went at the airport, but no one noticed the presence of Thor and Kismet.

They are like projections from outside the world, unaffected by people in this world.

Thor landed silently on the airship that Kismet was on, which happened to be heading to the city where the ultra-long-distance teleportation array was located.

"Airships don't leave their posts at night either, so you're just waiting here for me to leave?" Thor mimicked Kismet sitting on the ship's railing. "Are you coming back to the continent of State with me this time?"

"I already told you I'm just here to relax. I'm very busy right now."

Thor crossed his arms. "Are you still going to make new pages?"

The other person was taken aback, then gave a somewhat embarrassed laugh, "How could that be? The diary is now entirely yours; making the pages should be your task."

"So what are you busy with?"

"Busy...getting revenge, hahaha, just kidding. Of course, I need to keep improving myself. The apocalypse is approaching, and if I don't think of a way, I'll probably die under the towering waves of the Black Tide."

"Don't cause trouble for Instructor Gorsa and the others," Thor warned him.

Actually, he felt that Kismet's "just kidding" comment was the real joke.

"Don't worry, I won't sabotage their experiments. I also really hope the Stargate Council can develop a way to counter the Eye of the Abyss; that would benefit me too!"

Although Kismet's words made a lot of sense, his smiling face made me feel that there was a trap in his words.

The airship began to vibrate; it was about to take off.

Kismet smiled and waved to Thor, "Goodbye, my brother master."

After saying that, without waiting for Thor to say anything more, he leaned back and flipped off the ship's side, falling freely and turning into fallen leaves in the air before disappearing from sight.

A pedestrian below the airship was suddenly showered with fallen leaves. He instinctively reached out to catch them, but only managed to catch some broken leaves.

When I looked up again, all I could see was blue sky and white clouds and a huge airship slowly rising into the air.

"Who's playing this prank?" He grumbled twice in dissatisfaction, but knew he couldn't find the culprit. So he brushed the fallen leaves off his clothes and continued carrying his luggage.

Thor looked away; Kismet's figure had disappeared, but his fate continued to twitch before Thor's eyes.

"Do you think Kismet and Douglas are actually related?"

The autumn wind howled, and no one answered Thor's question.

It took Thor a while to finally return to the no man's land.

Knowing when Thor would return, Claire and Brando waited for him at the Spirit Cleansing Wizard Tower well in advance.

"Are you leaving again this time?" Keli asked as soon as she came up.

"Uh," Thor thought for a moment, "it would probably be another year before I leave."

The half-elf is currently unable to control the Red Worm Queen, nor can he control other Red Worms or lay eggs. Therefore, there is no use for Thor if he stays on the continent of Iskeper.

On the other hand, after assigning the task to Keli, he hardly asked her anything. Only when he came back last time did Keli explain some of the experimental progress to him.

But this experiment is actually very important.

Before acquiring the Red Worm, Thor planned to use an army of skeletal monsters to fight the Eye of the Abyss. Now, although a better option is available, the skeletal army cannot be abandoned.
