Chapter 993 The Birth of the Insect Queen

Chapter 993 The Birth of the Insect Queen

Thor will not act recklessly and enjoy power at this juncture.

Every major power in the Wizarding World now has close ties with Thor.

He needs to be very careful and protective of him.

In a flash, Thor was already standing behind Byron.

Before Byron stood a gigantic monster. Thor couldn't even immediately connect it to the red worm.

The monster before them was grayish-brown, with a huge oval head. It had no eyes, but dozens of fleshy tentacles.

Below the head grew four thick thighs. Hanging between the four legs was a fleshy growth, connected to the head by only a tiny bit of skin, looking as if it might break off at any moment.

"This is the Queen? It doesn't look like the red worm at all." Penny circled the Queen once. "Hmm, it seems to have a physical form!"

The silver butterfly landed on the queen insect's bald head and actually managed to stand on its own.

The red worm queen was the first to notice Thor's arrival, turning her dozens of tentacles around as if sensing Thor's presence.

For some reason, Thor felt that the Queen of Insects in front of him had a kind of delicate and beautiful appearance.

The monster in front of me is quite ugly, but after looking at it for a while, I find it somewhat attractive.

Byron saw the Nightmare Butterfly, which was not concealing its form, and knew that Thor had arrived. "This is the Queen. The giant egg we saw earlier was what it looked like when it was imprisoned. Just now, when the half-elf confirmed control of the Queen, we peeled off its shell and released it."

Byron was standing next to Corey. She had originally intended to come over and say hello when she saw Thor, but she froze on the spot when she saw Thor's face clearly.

The Thor before me seemed completely different from the one I had seen before.

Corey had a guess in his mind, but he didn't dare to think about it any further.

Thor nodded to Corey first, then walked up to the Queen and slowly placed his hand on her head.

Although the giant egg imprisoning the queen was enormous, the queen inside was only about the height of an adult human. Her skin felt incredibly fragile, offering almost no tactile feedback. It made Thor feel as if he were touching the surface of water; with just a little pressure, his fingers could reach beneath the surface.

Thor withdrew his hand and then extended his mental energy over.

In his mental probing, he could see that only the outer layer of the queen insect was real; inside was nothingness.

However, this emptiness was mixed with the aura of elves.

"Half-elf, how are you feeling now?"

The queen's tentacles drooped down, aimed at Thor's face.

A beautiful face appeared at the tip of each of its tentacles.

"I have basically taken control of the Queen's body and consciousness. It just takes time to use it flexibly and control the other red worms as you said."

Byron listened expressionlessly, while Corey couldn't help but glance at Saul several times. If she weren't also naturally expressionless, her eyes would probably have popped out of their sockets by now.

Even the fact that Gorza, who was said to have died in the Eye of the Abyss, suddenly appeared and forcibly succeeded as the chairman of the Stargate Council did not shock Corey as much.

Although she was temporarily pulled back to the underground base, she had changed from the main person in charge to an observer, so she naturally wouldn't speak casually.

Ignoring the others' thoughts, Thor continued to ask the half-elf, "How much time will it take?"

"Three to five years."

"It's been too long. No, I must completely take control of this body within a year."

I can't guarantee that right now.

"What methods can be used to increase speed?"

"The Queen's consciousness is extremely powerful. If I weren't constantly connected to the consciousness of the elven race within the world wall, I would probably have been ejected at any moment. It would take several years to deal with such strong resistance and tame her little by little."

Thor pondered for a moment, then said, "Taming consciousness? I'll give you something; see if it can help."

Thor raised his hand, and his palm suddenly split open, revealing an eye beneath the skin.

Those eyes had colorful pupils, the colors of which moved constantly like clouds in the sky.

"What...is this?" The queen insect's antennae were all pointed at her eyes.

The next second, an eye with a seven-colored pupil grew on each of the tentacles.

"Thump!"

"Thump!"

Byron and Corey, who had also looked over out of curiosity, both fainted at the same time.

They were almost powerless to resist.

Now that Thor has reached the fourth level, he is no longer as confused as before when facing the star-eyed creature.

He looked at the stiff half-elf and slowly closed his eyes.

Soon, with his eyes closed, Thor saw dozens of slightly different perspectives in his mind. And in all of these perspectives, Thor's face appeared. At the edges of some of the more unusual perspectives, he also saw the unconscious Byron and Corey.

However, Thor didn't give the queen star-shaped eyes to unlock her vision attribute.

Under Thor's control, the star-shaped eyes quickly flipped over, leaving only the whites facing outwards. Then, these eyes squeezed and squeezed, pushing from the tips of the antennae into the queen's gray skin, into that void within.

What is a void to matter and soul is no different from a physical entity in the eyes of the stars.

Wherever the eye falls, tiny shimmering red particles gradually appear in what was once an empty space. These red particles are not connected, but rather spaced apart, maintaining a loose whole through mutual interaction.

"So that's why neither magic nor mental power can detect the red worms? Then why can the eyes see them?"

"The Deathbringer says the power of the Threads of Fate is not foresight, but observation. Does this mean I was supposed to be able to see these things all along?"

The Stargate Council selects wizards by allowing them to see red worms. But those wizards probably see red worms in a different way than Thor.

The observation of fate lines seems inherently tainted by the dangerous oppression brought about by class differences, thus imbuing this observation with a sense of passive aggression. Ordinary people, even low-ranking wizards, could die directly under their gaze.

If it weren't for Thor, the master, deliberately suppressing the negative influence of the stars, half the people in Rhine City would probably be insane by now.

The other half will be killed by the insane.

Now, the queen insect's consciousness, being watched by the starry eyes, has clearly weakened a bit.

Then the half-elf exclaimed in surprise, "How did you do that? The Queen's resistance has weakened considerably!"

"It's probably about who gets more attention."

Thor's consciousness had withdrawn from the Queen's body, and when he opened his eyes again, the star-shaped eyes on the Queen's antennae were no longer visible.

The half-elf was clearly very interested.

"How many more of these colored glasses do you have left?"

"There are many, but if I give you too many, I'm afraid I won't be able to control their destructive power."

"I understand. I will take this opportunity to gain control of the queen as soon as possible."

Thor also warned him, "The Queen will also consume the power of your eyes. Use them carefully and don't let the two clash head-on. Otherwise, the Queen will also be injured. If your eyes disappear, you can come back to me."

The queen's antennae kept circling around Thor, as if she were thinking.

He's probably wondering where Thor got those eyes.
