Chapter 967 Step Inside

Chapter 967 Step Inside

Thor naturally hoped that the half-elves could break free from Byron.

Although the elves endowed Byron with powerful spiritual strength and an indescribable charm, if Byron overused the elves, he would be pulled into the rift of the world, his soul would gradually become chaotic, and in the end, he would merge with the spirit of the elves, separated by race, into a chaotic mass.

This is practically a ticking time bomb.

"I can make you a container to hold you. But first, I need a thorough analysis of the red worms. They might come in handy in the Kuroshio contamination."

Thor will not refuse a half-elf, but he will not give a half-elf his freedom for nothing.

If you want freedom, you must strive for it.

Wizards believe in equivalent exchange, don't they?

"You are now a special kind of consciousness, and you can detect the special characteristics of the red worms, so let's conduct research together. The more we understand about the red worms, the more suitable containers we can create."

The half-elf nodded. "I will cooperate with all your experiments through Byron's words and his body."

The half-elf's blurry face slowly shrank back beneath Byron's skin, revealing Byron's blank, expressionless face once more.

Thor said helplessly, "You suddenly decided to come to the Stargate Council just to help the half-elves create a suitable vessel?"

Byron did not deny it, "They live in the gap between the world walls, and only the half-elves can barely communicate with the outside world through me. But because they live in the world walls, they are very sensitive to the invasion of outside species. The fact that I can see the red worms is actually due to the abilities enhanced by the half-elves."

Byron pointed to the enormous worms on his body, "I'm only able to raise these worms to such a large size thanks to the half-elf feeding them."

What could Thor say but sigh? "Hasn't Speaker Alec ever investigated why the red worms on your body are so big?"

"He said it might be related to each person's mental strength." Byron circled Thor. "Why are you so clean?"

"You mean I don't have any bugs on me?"

Byron nodded. "Everyone who can see worms has one on them, even Speaker Alec. It's just that he seems to have hidden it by some means. He only takes it out occasionally when he needs to study it."

Thor recalled the scene of Alek's appearance and looked up at the ceiling of the room.

"He can come out of the worms. He can also touch the red worms very naturally. This is definitely not as easy as simply hypnotizing himself into believing that the red worms actually exist. I suspect he may have already begun to modify himself."

Byron shook his head. "A newly emerged species, whose basic properties we haven't even fully understood, how could it be used to modify itself?"

"It could be confidence, or it could be a lack of confidence." Thor put Ali's matter aside for now. "Let's try catching a few live red worms first. As for that thing on you, it's probably a container the half-elf prepared for himself. We'll deal with it when I'm confident."

Although some information about red worms was obtained from Kismet and Byron, Thor still needed to conduct his own testing and research to turn this information into reliable data for experiments.

These are things that cannot be done by others.

After wandering around the Stargazing Tower for three days, Thor didn't see a single Red Worm again, leading him to suspect that Alec had collected all the other worms so that he could go to the other side of the world to study the Red Worms.

Sol wandered aimlessly along the streets of Olga's capital.

He wasn't out shopping; he was looking for the red worms that hadn't yet been taken away by the Stargate Council.

Red worms dislike ordinary people and only devour wizards or reside in wizards who can see them.

So for the next three days, Thor spent his time wandering around Olga's wizarding quarter.

Penny fell from the sky and landed on Thor's shoulder, her tentacles drooping limply. "There's absolutely no sign of the red worm. How strange, when we try to look for it, we just can't find it anywhere."

Thor had calmed down from the doubts and anxieties of the past two days. "The Stargate Council has probably taken all the bugs around here. But it's okay, we'll go outside in a couple of days. I already have a guess where the red worms will be."

"Why in a couple of days?" Penny asked, puzzled. "Byron's off to Stargate to learn more, and we have nothing to do here. Let's go now."

"I'm still waiting for someone." Sol walked towards Olga.

"Who?"

"Me! You little butterfly, haven't you been eaten yet?" Kismet suddenly jumped over the wall of the alley.

Penny saw Kismet and immediately withdrew her hand to Thor's forehead.

It left a psychological scar on Kismet.

"Are you following me?" Thor wasn't afraid of Kismet.

He was still wondering how this guy could appear just as he and Penny had mentioned Kismet. Could it be that coincidences always happen this way?

Kismet grinned. "I've actually been here a while, just waiting for you guys to mention me and then pop out. Isn't that fun!"

"You've been much happier since you got your soul fragment back. Looks like you've been doing well lately."

Kismett looked rather smug, one hand supporting his elbow and the other pinching his chin. "Things are going pretty well, so I'm in a good mood."

"What are you plotting now?" Thor was starting to have a psychological aversion to this guy.

"Don't worry, I won't harm you, my little brother, Master."

"You've come out now, are you ready?" Thor didn't believe Kismet's words at all. He only listened to him and ultimately had to see what Kismet was actually doing.

"Yes, we can start anytime."

Saul and Kismet were referring to the fifth objective of the Symphony of Destiny.

He has already made four choices, so making a fifth one will naturally be no problem.

The only unique aspect is that once the fifth target is determined, the five targets will form a closed pentagram with each other, and the power of fate will influence each other, so it can be said that they will all prosper together.

If one side is in danger, the other four sides can provide additional fate power to help it overcome the difficulties.

All five targets are directly connected to Thor.

Most of the power of destiny will also be given to Thor.

Once the Symphony of Fate is officially completed, Thor can advance to the fourth rank at any time.

No extra preparation is required.

So when Thor and Kismet arrived in the wilderness area far from the Stargazing Tower in Olga's capital, Thor was still very excited.

Apart from the two of them, no one else passed by, only some wild animals, insects, and birds.

This time, the goal of Symphony of Fate was to personally help Thor set up the auxiliary magic circle.

Kismet seemed just as excited as Thor, though his primary emotion was probably curiosity.

While making the arrangements, Kismet relied on his knowledge to gain a general understanding of the characteristics of Saul's promotion method, which surprised Kismet somewhat.

No, not just somewhat surprised, but extremely surprised.

"You've changed the very nature of the Death Threads." Kismet looked at the main magic circle on the ground, drawn by Thor himself. "At first, I thought you had simply stopped controlling the life and death of your targets, but now I realize that the power of this magic circle has absolutely nothing to do with the power of death."

Thor straightened up, did one last check, and pointed with his chin toward the center of the magic circle.

"Stop talking nonsense and get in there."
