Death Wizard Diary.
Chapter 945 That's you.
Chapter 945 That's you.
"How did I get here?" Thor asked blankly, looking down to find that he was indeed still a small ball of yarn.
"Of course, fate sent you here," the Death Demon's slow, leisurely voice rang out.
Could it be that I gathered too much power of destiny in a short period of time, causing my consciousness to be drawn to the iridescent world?
Thor arrived at the platform that Deathbringer had helped him organize and found that his Rainbow Channel had indeed gained a new destiny line.
But that new thread of fate was exceptionally strong; while others were sewing thread, it was the rope pulling the boat.
At the same time, no clear consciousness emanated from this thick thread of fate. If Thor tried to connect, he could only hear faint and chaotic murmurs.
It's as if a teacher is lecturing in class while ten thousand students are whispering among themselves.
At the same time, Thor discovered that because he had previously distributed too much of his Destiny Power to the other three, the four targets now seemed to have formed pairs of connections with each other. Through the current magical structure, he could now actually choose to advance to the fourth tier!
For a moment, Thor's spiritual body was so excited that it became somewhat feverish.
But he quickly calmed down. "Although I could choose to advance directly to the fourth-tier wizard now, it's more stable to advance after achieving the fifth goal according to the plan."
Thor contracted his slender body. "What I need is the power to continue resisting death and the apocalypse, not to advance to an ordinary fourth-tier wizard."
He released the fate lines of the four targets and gradually calmed down.
It's time to go back.
However, before leaving, Thor had something he wanted to ask Deathbringer, but he didn't know if it was willing to tell him now.
"Hello. In my current consciousness space, there are many stars that look like eyes, or rather, star-shaped eyes. They also have pupils of the same color as this space, and can even resist some of the power of the Eye of the Abyss."
As Thor spoke, he already had an answer in his heart.
"What do those eyes have to do with you?"
Saul assumed the other person wouldn't say it, or would simply admit it.
But then he heard a burst of laughter.
It wasn't laughter in the traditional sense, but he understood the Deathbringer's current emotions.
The lines floating in the air surged and undulated like a sea of clouds in a raging storm.
Thor finally heard Deathspeak speak.
"Aren't those your eyes?"
"What?" The small ball of yarn was taut and straight.
"Don't forget, you're one of us too. Just because you're unwilling to return to the essence doesn't mean you can escape it."
Thor was somewhat shocked. So, was it himself who had been watching him from within the consciousness space all along?
He still couldn't connect those eyes with himself. He used to think he was borrowing the power of the eyes. He couldn't use them too often because overuse might contaminate them.
Now it seems that the reason why it cannot be used frequently is because we are afraid that it will be forced to return to its so-called essence?
The lines of fate finally softened, and Thor sighed inwardly, forced to begin changing his ingrained beliefs.
If he had listened to the Death Demon's advice, he might have instantly become a sixth-tier being. Those eyes would have completely returned to him.
But Thor felt a growing sense of fear.
Is he still himself when he's like that?
"Why does a tangled web of fate need so many eyes?" Thor mused.
"If you cannot observe fate, how can you speak of a thread forming fate?"
Suddenly, it makes so much sense. If Thor merged all the star eyes, would he be able to observe the complete destiny?
Hmm, why does this sound familiar?
He suddenly remembered his diary.
"You know..." Thor hesitated for a moment, but then thought that since the other party could even see the eyes in the space, he should also know what was inside. "Do you know about the Death Wizard's Diary? Why do I feel that the working principle of the diary is somewhat similar to the Fate Line? Could it also come from the power of the Deathbringer?"
"No, that diary was created by another sixth-order being outside. It borrowed some principles of the power of fate, but its essence is not observation, but rather rehearsal and deduction."
"The diary is actually a sixth-tier crafted item, but I remember its previous owner was only a fifth-tier wizard when he possessed it. He tried to use the diary to advance to the sixth tier but failed. That means its previous owner wasn't actually the one who created the diary. The diary doesn't feel incredibly powerful in my hands. Could it be because although it's a sixth-tier crafted item, it's not equivalent to a sixth-tier magical artifact?"
That makes sense; a sixth-tier magical artifact is terrifying to even think about.
"Your diary may not yet be comparable to a sixth-tier item, but it's actually at the fifth tier," said the Deathbringer. "But it's incomplete; it's missing something important."
"You're right." Saul recalled the golden page he received from the Tribunal, its condition completely different from the other golden pages in the diary. "It's just that I'm not sure yet what's missing from the diary."
"You'll find out," the Deathbringer said slowly. "I've already seen where your fate lies."
……
Thor opened his eyes and found himself standing in front of a huge crystal wall.
He quickly recognized this as the place Maria had brought him to sign autographs, but due to Murphy the Wizard's interference, he hadn't left his name on the crystal wall.
But then, the names on the crystal wall changed. The names that were originally engraved on the surface were somehow transferred inside the crystal.
There was no trace of any interlayer in the middle, as if they had grown naturally inside.
These changes are likely also related to Murphy's actions.
"You're finally awake."
Thor turned his head and found Claire sitting next to him, resting her chin on her hand and looking at him.
"How long do you think I was unconscious?"
"Three days!" Claire held up three fingers. "Three days ago, all the cracks in the Wailing Wall closed, and the wall itself turned into the shape of black crystal. But then you disappeared. I almost thought you had selflessly sacrificed yourself to repair the Wailing Wall."
"I'm not that noble," Saul shrugged. "You know, it's a win-win situation."
"Tch, after you disappeared, I searched for you for ages before I found you here at the Crystal Wall. Later, Maria dispersed the unrelated people, and I've been waiting for you here."
Claire stretched, showing that she had been waiting attentively and hadn't done anything to pass the time.
"I've never seen you unconscious for so long. If it weren't for the fact that your spirit body is still very active, I would have thought you had become a god on the spot!"
Thor was both amused and exasperated. "I'm a wizard, how can I become a god?"
"Why not?" Claire retorted. "Aren't you the Judge of Death?"
Thor quickly waved his hand, "Let's not use that word, it's so despicable."
Keli suppressed a laugh; after several days of tension, she finally relaxed completely.
Just then, Thor felt something moving his pants. He looked down and saw that it was Little Algae crawling on the ground.
Seeing that Thor ignored it for a long time, Little Algae used its sharp little mouth to bite eight holes in Thor's trouser leg.
Thor bent down and lifted the tiny algae, which looked like thin hemp ropes. "Sorry to have worried you. Alright, mission accomplished, let's go home."
