Chapter 875 Imprisonment

Chapter 875 Imprisonment

Thor got up from the ground and found that nothing was missing from him, the storage device was still there, and no one had touched the contents.

It was as if he had simply sleepwalked while sleeping and ended up in this unfamiliar place.

He walked to the wall and reached out to touch it.

It feels cool and real to the touch.

It looks like an ordinary, painted brick wall.

However, when Thor tried to explore with his mental energy, he found that his mental energy was bounced back.

When tested with magic, the magic was absorbed by the wall and never returned.

"What an imposing wall."

Instead of attacking the wall in front of him rashly, Saul searched for a way out along the corridor.

The corridor here leads to a right-angle turn at the end, and after walking the same distance, there's another right-angle turn.

After making four turns, Thor found himself back where he started.

"A square corridor, with no entrance and no exit. The walls are impenetrable to mental detection and magic, so only the owner of this place should be able to enter and exit at will. I must have been brought in by teleportation magic."

It's Frim.

Without much thought, Thor had already guessed who the culprit was who had brought him here.

"Lord Frim, is there something you need to tell me by bringing me here specifically?"

The other party finally stopped playing riddles with Thor. Their voice echoed in the corridor, its source indistinguishable, like a series of overlapping echoes.

"You stay here for now."

Thor frowned. "What's the difference between staying here and staying in the Eternal Night Palace? I won't wander off. Besides, I have many experiments to conduct. The Midor has only just been planted in the Red Sea, and it needs careful tending. You're not planning to imprison me here, are you?"

However, Flim did not respond to Saul again.

Thor sighed. If his opponent didn't make a move, he wouldn't even have a chance to counter it.

There is no day and night cycle here, no time measurement; he can only rely on his own state to keep track of time while he is here.

About three hours later, a figure walked out from the corner of the square corridor.

Thor only noticed the fluctuations in the other person's mental energy when he walked around the corner.

Before that, it was as if that person didn't exist.

Were they also suddenly teleported here?

The person who came in was a beautiful witch, who looked to be only eighteen or nineteen years old, but was already a second-level wizard.

She walked respectfully to Thor and performed a wizard's salute.

"Lord Thor, my name is Lya, and I am a second-tier wizard specializing in dark magic. The Lord of the Court has instructed me to serve you here; please feel free to ask me for anything you need."

Thor squinted and confirmed, "Are you sure? I can give you anything you need."

Leah looked up at Thor, her pretty face slightly flushed. "Yes, Lord Thor, you can ask for anything."

Thor crossed his arms. "I'm going to see Midor."

Leah pursed her lips and said, looking aggrieved, "I'm sorry, Lord Thor, I don't have the power to let you leave."

Thor pursed his lips, knowing full well that this would be the answer.

He raised his hand, and a huge pink sofa appeared behind him. He relaxed and leaned closer to the sofa. "Then let me ask you, why did Lord Frim bring me here? When can I get out? Or what price do I need to pay to get out?"

Lydia grew paler with each word, and finally said helplessly, "I'm sorry, Lord Thor, I didn't know any of this."

Since becoming a full-fledged wizard, Thor has rarely encountered such a timid girl.

The last one seems to be a classmate named Annie from my apprenticeship days. But that Annie died a long time ago.

The Lydia in front of me, who has reached the second tier, is certainly not as weak as she appears.

"So what can you do?"

Finally hearing a question she could answer, Leah puffed out her chest. "I can assist you with your experiments. You can tell me what materials you need. And while I can't help you escape the Lost Corridor, if you want to know about the outside world, including Midor, I can help you gather information."

Saul interlaced his fingers and placed them on his thighs, pondering Flim's intentions.

"The Lost Corridor? Is this the Lost Corridor, the one that once housed Roye's soul, allowing him to be resurrected instantly? But I don't see any other souls here. Perhaps this place can separate spaces, and I'm imprisoned here alone."

"When the Black Tide appeared and he was most needed, Frim had the Black Flame Emperor Airo take his place, obscuring everyone's vision, and secretly went elsewhere. Then he rushed back before Airo could restart the defensive array. So he must have secretly gone to a very far place, otherwise he wouldn't have only appeared after the Red Sea Tree had been severely damaged."

"What he did was very important, and it needed to be done very discreetly. He was definitely trying to avoid being discovered by the other fourth-order beings."

What is it that Frim is doing behind the backs of the other Tier 4s?

Ophelia is currently researching advancement to the fifth rank, but after the Water God's method failed last time, she doesn't expect to make any substantial progress in the short term.

Murphy, the wizard of the Wailing Wall, seemed to have no other intentions, leading the wizards in resisting the Black Tide for many years.

The Black Tide from the other side of the Wailing Wall seems to be attacking more frequently than the one from the Eternal Night side.

Flim had no reason to go to him, nor could he possibly sabotage the facilities resisting the Black Tide.

As for the Stargate Council?

That's possible. The Tribunal and the Stargate Council are currently on opposing sides, each with its own agenda, but their viewpoints certainly conflict.

Perhaps Frim wanted to do something that would conflict with the Stargate Council, which is why he was hiding his whereabouts.

Unfortunately, Thor was unaware of Gorza's current situation and had no idea what had angered Flim, so he never considered that it might be related to his mentor.

At present, Thor only believes that Frim is going against the Stargate Council, so he is not in a hurry even though he is imprisoned in this place called the Lost Corridor.

"Alright, since you can't help me get out either, then go and compile all the information about Midor for me. I need to continue my research."

Thor chose to say this for two reasons. First, to help Midor grow as quickly as possible. If she could cover the entire southeast coast, she would become a crucial figure in the Red Sea Tree. Second, with Sander's involvement, Midor would definitely not become a vulnerable being like the mermaids, easily bullied. After all, there is only one Midor, unlike the thousands upon thousands of mermaids who can be wasted at will.

Secondly, it was also a way of implying to Flemming that he was currently doing a good job for the Tribunal and for Neflet. He should think twice before trying to do anything to Flemming.

However, Saul underestimated Flim's resolve.

On the second day of his imprisonment in the Lost Corridor, instead of waiting for Lydia who was gathering information outside, he heard Flem's voice again.

"Saul, I want one of your arms."

Thor was standing in front of the experimental table he had taken out of the storage device when he suddenly heard Flim's words. His expression turned serious, and he immediately flashed backward.

Although he couldn't leave the Lost Corridor, he also created temporary coordinates in all the corridors to facilitate dodging in emergencies.

However, when his figure appeared in another corridor, his right arm had completely disappeared!
