Chapter 817 Bad ending

After Alfonso's soft introduction, the underwater corals seemed to hear the voice and timidly raised their heads to look at the surface of the water.

This also allowed Saul to see her face, which was hidden by her red hair.

He had a feeling of déjà vu, as if he were seeing the Little Mermaid from the fairy tale.

As Thor approached, Coral actually swam towards him.

At this distance, Thor keenly observed that Coral's spiritual essence was slightly stronger than that of the other mermaids. Perhaps due to atavism, her intelligence was closer to that of a human child.

Coral approached Thor and reached out her hands to grab one of his arms.

The water god Froco is a member of the Azure Scale Clan, and the coral has experienced a reversion to its ancestral form, so it may be quite familiar with Froco's mental power.

Thor reached out and transformed his hand into a translucent tentacle, covering the half-rotten coral fish tail.

Without feeling any pain or itching, Thor took a few samples from the coral, wrapped them in his tentacles, and retracted them into his body.

After taking the sample, Thor scanned Coral's mental energy again, looked into her ruby-like eyes, and gently stroked her cheek.

Coral closed her eyes, looking like a kitten, almost purring contentedly.

Thor carefully examined the coral's body structure, then turned and floated to the surface.

Coral opened its eyes in confusion and even swam a few meters after Thor.

Just then, she suddenly saw a small black tentacle emerge from the back of Thor's neck.

The tentacles split open, revealing black tongue tips.

"Purrlurrl..."

Little Algae stuck out her tongue, and a string of bubbles came out of her mouth.

Coral's eyes widened as she reached out to grab the black tentacle, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw the gloomy man on the water not far from her.

Coral paused, shrank its shoulders as if frightened, then flicked its tail and fled back into the depths of the pool.

Thor didn't notice the commotion below; he only sensed that Coral gave up after chasing for a while.

He climbed out of the clear, icy pool, used witchcraft to clean the excess water and stains off his clothes, and then put on the wizard's robe that had been tossed aside.

"How come the coral is so close to you?" Alfonso had been staring in disbelief, and as soon as Thor came out of the water, he couldn't wait to ask.

"Maybe it's because there's a mermaid around me, and she felt the scent was familiar," Thor said casually. "Besides, as a doctor, I naturally need to know how to comfort patients."

Alfonso seemed thoughtful. "Could you teach me how to soothe the merman?"

"You also need to appease the merman? I thought your tribunal was used to solving problems with violence."

"That wasn't violence, just a necessary means," Alfonso retorted, but remembering how Thor had comforted the merman, he softened his tone, "I can trade you my unique dark magic."

Thor stroked his chin. "I'll think about it."

After seeing the mermaid, Alfonso's presentation for today will end here. The next time we meet will be after Saul has fully understood the information and samples he obtained from Alfonso.

Otherwise, if he doesn't even know the basic theories, he won't be able to carry out further research.

Thor returned the way he came. He didn't need Alfonso to take him back; he simply located Kate and teleported back to his own palace.

Back at the palace, Thor didn't wander around. The Tribunal's attitude towards him was still unclear, so Thor naturally wouldn't cause trouble for himself by running around aimlessly.

After Saul and Alfonso left, the cool moonlight shone on the beach as always.

In a deep pool by the sea, a coral with a head of beautiful red hair is swimming towards the deepest part of the pool.

Then her entire body disappeared inside.

She leaped out of the water, dragging her tattered fish tail, and scrambled toward another pool on the opposite side of the cave.

"Sister, don't move, I'm coming!"

A sound suddenly rang out in the cave, accompanied by intermittent echoes.

A sudden, lively anger flashed across Coral's face. "Keep your voice down!"

Her voice wasn't loud, but her expression was enough to convey her message.

Suddenly, another mermaid emerged from the pool opposite.

It is a male mermaid.

He looked almost exactly like Coral, except that his hair and eyes were azure blue, as deep and beautiful as aquamarine.

His name is also Hailan.
