Chapter 762 The Unseen Phenomenon

Chapter 762 The Unseen Phenomenon

Thor chose to follow the airship's servants not only because he was genuinely interested in the white porcelain kitten, but also for another major reason.

Krum's death was very similar to that of the businessman Mike.

They were the only two corpses Saul had seen in a month, so he was very impressed with them.

Both of them drowned.

A third-tier wizard, like an ordinary person, could not escape the call of death.

Moreover, their souls disappeared after they died.

As Thor searched for their consciousness, he heard the sound of water.

Furthermore, Paul, a third-level wizard apprentice on the airship, had warned Saul that the white porcelain kitten could drown people, which led Saul to connect the two dead bodies.

As it was approaching dusk, there were few pedestrians on the streets.

The occasional passersby were all wizard apprentices.

These people looked rushed and tired, like office workers.

Thor also had the illusion of returning to the Wizard Tower of Gorsa.

He continued to conceal his aura and magical fluctuations, walking along the edge of the street like an ordinary person.

The guide stones Kate left behind were rough, but they had no magic power and were just inconspicuous stones in the eyes of the wizard apprentices on the street.

Thor hadn't walked far when he found the servant's quarters in a small alley near the airport.

It was an old but detached two-story building. Perhaps to match the overall decorating style of Sky City, even this old house had its exterior painted brown walls and a dark brown roof.

It doesn't look that dilapidated.

Even so, this doesn't seem like the kind of house a servant would own.

Saul noticed that there was only the presence of one living person in the two-story cabin.

The attendant lived alone.

Thor looked up and saw the orange cat lying on the roof ridge.

He smiled at the orange cat, then jumped straight in through the half-open second-floor window.

The room where the window was located was the servant's bedroom, and the servant was currently fiddling with something in the bedroom.

Although he was facing the window, he was completely oblivious, as if he were blind, and did not notice a soft body squeezing in through the half-open window.

After Thor came in, the orange cat followed silently and jumped in a step behind.

The two people were clearly present, yet they did not attract the attention of the servants.

Thor stepped forward and approached the servant who had been looking down at something. Suddenly, he raised his hand and pressed down on the back of the servant's head.

The servant collapsed without warning.

"Lord Saul, aren't you going to interrogate him?"

"This is too much trouble, I'll just watch it directly."

After Thor finished speaking, he seemed to freeze in place.

Kate glanced at him but didn't dare to move.

Unbeknownst to the orange cat, Thor had already entered the servant's dream.

Despite being knocked unconscious by Thor, the servant still obediently began to dream thanks to the Nightmare Butterfly's intervention.

His dream was very realistic.

Thor glanced at it and figured it was something like someone who had become rich overnight, bought an airship, and was now reprimanding his usually high-ranking servants, guards, maids, captain, and others.

All of them knelt down before the servant and kissed his toes.

"Have you had enough fun? Think back to something useful."

With a wave of his hand, Thor changed the scene before him.

The servant returned to the room, only to find it filled with white porcelain kittens. These kittens also had white eyes, which were not painted red.

It wasn't exactly the same as what Saul saw at the merchant Mike's place.

The servant was still lost in his sweet dream and it took him a moment to realize where he was.

However, he remained as excited as before.

"Keep working hard, keep working hard, and soon I'll have enough money to buy an airship!"

He crawled under the bed and pulled out a small bottle containing red pigment of unknown composition.

He opened the bottle, dipped a brush in a little paint with one hand, and picked up a white porcelain kitten without red eyes with the other, carefully painting the kitten's eyes red.

Saul noticed that after the servants painted the kittens' eyes red, they would very carefully hold the kittens' bodies and place them in the bedside cabinet.

Meanwhile, the cabinet already contained more than a dozen white porcelain kittens with red-painted eyes.

Saul stepped forward and picked up a white porcelain kitten without painted eyes.

The details in the dream told Saul that these were indeed inferior products.

He then mentioned a kitten with its eyes painted red, but neither the paint nor the kitten seemed unusual.

Saul even imitated the businessman Mike by patting the white porcelain cat's head.

But he still didn't feel anything, and nothing lucky happened.

"Is it because my strength is beyond the White Porcelain Cat's influence, or is this just a dream, and the other party isn't the real body, unable to affect the people and things in the dream?"

Thor put the white porcelain kitten back, and the servants did not react at all.

"This isn't right either." Thor waved his hand again. "If the moment that excites him the most isn't right, then what about the moment that frightens him the most?"

The servant's dream took the form of several frightening scenes, such as falling into the water or the airship exploding.

But none of these dreams involved any unusual events.

"Quite clean." Thor waved his hand again. "Let me see what your most unforgettable day looks like."

This time, Saul and his servants went out onto the street together.

The streets here are unfamiliar; none of the streets Saul has passed through today look like this.

The most unique building is a broken tower not far away.

The top of the tower consists of broken bricks and protruding beams.

Standing beneath the broken tower was a tall boy, who looked about fifteen or sixteen years old, dressed in the most ordinary wizard apprentice robes, the edges of which were even frayed.

But the servants immediately ran over.

Saul followed the servants like a ghost.

He heard the servants and the boy say, "My goods are almost gone."

The boy said expressionlessly, "You can't come over before I contact you. If it happens again, we'll terminate our cooperation."

"No, no, I will never reach out to you again."

The boy did not make things difficult for the servant, and seemed to have never had any expectations of him.

"Behave yourself, or I can replace you anytime."

The attendant nodded repeatedly.

The boy turned and left, ultimately not taking out anything that resembled the "goods" the servant had mentioned, demonstrating considerable principle.

Saul wanted to follow the boy to see what was going on, but it was just a servant's dream. By the time the boy reached the edge of the street, his figure had already begun to blur and fade.

Just as Saul was considering whether this boy was the one he was looking for...

"Gurgle...gurgle..."

He suddenly heard the sound of water bubbling again.

In an instant, Thor's expression changed.

"I've found you."

Thor exited the servant's dream.

The servant was still fast asleep, lying face down on his bed.

"Lord Thor, have you found what you were looking for?"

"It can only be said that a small shrimp led to another small fish, and it's still unclear whether this small fish is the culprit. However, a wizard apprentice doesn't seem like someone who can control the white porcelain kitten."

"Should I search this house?"

Thor shook his head.

"The kitten's owner is very good at concealing his tracks. He can even erase any abnormal information about the white porcelain kitten from people's consciousness. If it were anyone else, no matter how they investigated, they would probably only find that the white porcelain kitten was just an ordinary handicraft. All information related to its strange phenomena has been erased."

Thor clasped his hands together.

"Interesting. Since we can't find it using advanced methods, let's use the most basic method."

"Meow?" Kate still didn't understand.

"It's like you carving a shape out of the most ordinary stone to show me the way. People who are invisible on a magical level are often visible to the naked eye."
