Chapter 753 The Legend of Luck

Chapter 753 The Legend of Luck

Thor waited in line for another half hour before it was finally his turn to board the airship.

This was truly his first time queuing to board an airship.

Previously, when someone had a spot as a mentor to Gorsa, the airship would make a special detour to pick him up.

From the Wizard's Tower to the VIP cabin on the airship, everything is done in one step.

This time, Thor wasn't in a hurry. He brought a box of books and notes, intending to study hard on the airship and make up for his missing basic knowledge.

The baggage check before boarding the airship was extremely thorough. Even the suitcases were opened and checked one by one.

While he was opening the box, Saul stuffed two sets of clothes inside.

Otherwise, it would be strange to think that an ordinary person who doesn't seem wealthy would live on an airship for a month with only a suitcase of books and paper.

After the examination, the woman who examined him showed a genuine smile.

"You're a scholar, right? I'll try my best to arrange a quiet room for you. Would you like to stay at the end of the corridor? It would be quieter there."

"Thank you so much." Thor nodded repeatedly.

Finally on the deck, Thor found a spot not far from the entrance and stood there.

This airship usually doesn't have wizards on board, so the ticket price is the cheapest among the nearby airships.

Having a wizard on the airship is actually a form of security.

As long as they don't encounter any wizard battles, even if the airship does run into trouble, someone will be there to fix it immediately.

All three continental authorities have emphasized that wizards are prohibited from damaging operational airships. This serves as a systemic guarantee for passenger safety.

Saul saw that Mike, who had just spoken to him, had also boarded the airship.

"This is my room number. I've been here since dinner. If you also hope to be blessed with good fortune, remember to come over. I can treat you to some wine."

Thor nodded with a smile.

He wasn't deliberately waiting for Mike here; rather, he sensed magical fluctuations on the deck.

The fluctuations were very small, so it seemed to be a wizard apprentice.

But Thor didn't sense any wizarding apprentices among the passengers.

Some of the airship's attendants, seeing the simply dressed Saul standing near the deck railing, cautiously approached to greet him.

"Oh, I'm fine, just looking at the scenery." Thor waved his hand, indicating that he wouldn't jump off.

The attendant continued to follow Thor. "Then I'll escort you back to your room. After all, passengers can't stay on the deck when the airship takes off."

Thor nodded, kicked the orange cat at his feet, picked up the huge suitcase and walked towards the cabin.

After taking a couple of steps, he turned back to his attendant, who was still following him, and asked, "Excuse me, is there a wizard on this airship?"

"There is no wizard. However, there is a wizard apprentice on board the airship, but he rarely sees outsiders."

Thor nodded.

It seems that the faint magical fluctuations he just sensed came from this wizard apprentice who was on board the ship.

After dinner, Saul was still reading in his room.

Meanwhile, Kate, the orange cat, was eating the steak and vegetable soup that Saul hadn't touched, just like a human, with a napkin tied around her neck and a knife and fork in her hand.

"Lord Thor, are you planning to go and listen to the story of the cat repaying its debt, told by that Mike?" Kate asked casually.

Thor's gaze remained fixed on the pages of the book in his hands. "What, you want to learn how to repay a debt of gratitude too?"

Kate is now essentially Saul's prisoner.

At first, he kept thinking about running away, but after discovering that Thor was the new master of the No Man's Land, he obediently stayed by Thor's side.

As a wizard who has turned into a cat, he desperately needs a powerful ally like Thor who can also heal mental corruption.

Thor was also curious about Kate's condition, so he kept him by his side to study him.

The books I was reading at that time were also research related to soul transfer.

He wanted to try to transfer Kate's soul into a human body without relying on the power of the diary.

Kate always felt a chill run down her spine when she looked at the book in Saul's hand.

He shifted his position, his tail twitching unconsciously. "I'm a little curious, after all, the adults mentioned this word before. I think it must be something special."

Saul rested the book on his chin, wondering whether he should tell Kate that the Cat Returns was actually just a joke he'd told her.

A moment later, Saul offered no explanation and placed the book on the table.

"Alright, I'll go take a look. Maybe I can find something interesting from an ordinary person."

Upon hearing this, Kate smiled, and a long, scarlet tongue, about a meter long, suddenly emerged from the kitten's mouth. It swept across the table and swirled around, clearing away all the food.

Then the orange cat jumped down and walked to Thor on two legs. "I'm done eating, Lord Thor. Let me accompany you."

Saul looked down at Kate, who was still wearing her napkin, and said, "You can come along, but I'm bringing a cat, not..."

Kate understood immediately. She lowered her head, stepped on it with her front paw, and ripped the napkin off her neck.

Then he landed on all fours, looked up, and meowed.

Saul smiled with satisfaction, pushed open the door, and walked out.

The orange cat followed nimbly behind him.

The two went up a flight of stairs and found Mike's room in the middle of the floor.

"Knock knock knock".

Thor knocked gently on the door.

After a while, steady footsteps were heard, and Matt opened the door from the inside.

Upon seeing Thor, a smile spread across his face. "So eager to come? I haven't finished dinner yet."

He still had a napkin around his neck, just like the orange cat from before, as if Thor's arrival had disturbed his meal.

Saul said nothing, his gaze passing over Mike to the now lukewarm dinner on his table.

"Ahem... Since you're here, come in. I don't actually eat much at night." Mike coughed twice and quickly stepped aside.

Thor then went inside.

The orange cat squeezed in through the crack in the door the instant it closed.

Mike put down his knife and fork, pulled off the loose napkin around his neck, peeked into the hallway to make sure no one was in sight, and then closed the door.

He had a mysterious air about him.

"Sol, to be honest, I'm giving you this chance to turn your luck around because I see how tough it is for you to venture out on your own at such a young age. Otherwise, I wouldn't even have enough luck for myself."

"What exactly is it? Why can luck be shared with others? And what exactly is this 'cat's gratitude' you mentioned?"

Mike smiled mysteriously, shaking his head slightly. "I know that ninety percent of the time you came here because you don't trust me, and one ten percent because you're just trying your luck."

He walked to the bedside and took out a palm-sized package wrapped tightly in cloth from under layers of blankets.

"But it doesn't matter if you don't believe me, I can make you believe it right now. This is a magical world, and it's not surprising that any kind of magical item appears in this world."

As Mike spoke, he unwrapped his tightly packed package.

After being unsealed through multiple layers, a white ceramic kitten appeared before Thor and Kate.

This ceramic kitten is crudely made, entirely white except for its eyes, which are dyed red with crude paint.

Consistent with its ordinary appearance, Thor found no trace of magic or mental energy fluctuations on it.

Meanwhile, Mike was still proudly showing off his precious baby.

"This is the cat's way of repaying kindness. Owning one will make you incredibly lucky, and all your wishes will be fulfilled."

"Uh...meow?"

Kate almost swore at someone.
