Chapter 713 Take it all away

"Sol!!!!!"

The thunderstorm turned the entire Kma Palace into a somber gray.

In one of the palace's corner towers, candles were lit along the long corridor, but the light remained dim.

Only Claire's flowing red hair shimmered with a soft light, like satin.

After several years, the girl who used to wear two braids and had a few freckles on her face has grown up.

Claire slammed into Thor's arms, grabbing his collar. "How did you get here? Didn't you advance to Tier 3? Weren't you supposed to be unable to leave the No Man's Land? Did you sneak out?"

Listening to Claire's barrage of questions, Thor chuckled and tapped her forehead. "I was out running errands and just passing through Kema. If I didn't come to see you soon, you'd probably be held a grudge, wouldn't you?"

Claire covered her head and jumped back. "Ha, do you know whose head you're hitting? You're hitting the future Marquis of Kema's head!"

The corridor was quiet, save for Claire's playful voice.

"A Marchioness? I remember you're the Earl's daughter."

"The Earl has passed away. Grand Duke Kira intends for me to inherit the title and elevate it to Marquis."

Thor listened, paused for a moment, and then said, "You're about to advance to the second tier, aren't you?"

Claire pulled Thor toward the corner tower. "Yeah, you've already overtaken us by so much, how can we not try our best to catch up?"

"Can you concentrate on your research into witchcraft here?" Thor followed Claire to the laboratory that Kira had prepared for her in the palace.

The laboratory is full of materials, bottles and jars, and crucibles heated by flames.

Besides these, there were also mountains of parchment, exquisite floral paper, and several quill pens floating in the air.

On the chairs next to them, a long court dress was casually draped.

Thor glanced back at Claire's black wizard robes and asked with concern, "Are you here to handle a lot of things for Grand Duke Kira?"

"Not often, just sometimes..."

"I'll talk to Grand Duke Kira and ask him if I can take you away?" Thor asked earnestly.

The exquisite paper and pen on the table represent official business, while the gorgeous court dress represents social interaction.

Judging from the way the dress was casually placed, Thor could almost imagine how quickly Clare took off her robe and changed into a comfortable and simple wizard's robe after entering her own private space.

Keli strolled to the long court dress, her fingers tugging at a silk flower on it.

"I wanted to leave with you, but... the Principality of Kema still needs me, and my family needs me in this position."

Thor frowned. "When you first entered the Wizarding Tower, didn't you say you didn't want to go back to your family?"

Claire stuck out her tongue. "I was still young then. Of course, you can say and think anything when you're little."

Saul stepped forward, placing his right hand on the back of the chair, his fingertips just touching the neckline of the court dress.

"You can too now." Thor deliberately patted his chest with his left hand. "I'm a third-tier wizard now, and I'll be a fourth-tier wizard soon. I guarantee you can do whatever you want."

Keli chuckled, then said seriously, "I believe in you, and I believe you will be the fastest third-tier wizard to advance to the fourth tier!"

But then she changed the subject, "You have your responsibilities, and I have mine. Grand Duke Kira brought me back and helped me get promoted. Now that she's in trouble, I can't just abandon her. As for the family, if I don't accept the title of Marquis, my mother will cry to me every day."

"What trouble is Grand Duke Kira in?" Thor realized that what was really holding Klee back was Kira's help.

"The Duchy of Knath was relatively peaceful for a while after losing a second-tier wizard in the last war. But recently they've been training a new second-tier wizard, so their provocative actions on the border have increased."

"Now that Lord Gorsata has also left, the only second-tier wizard left on Kema's side is Grand Duchess Kira, and she also needs to train a new second-tier wizard."

"So you're the candidate?"

Keli smiled wryly; her long red hair didn't look as vibrant as before.

"The only candidate."

Thor's eyes flickered slightly, but when he spoke again, he changed the subject.

"Oh, right, I have another gift for you."

"What? What?" Claire almost pounced on him. "This is a gift from a third-tier wizard! I can't wait!"

That guy!

Saul retorted angrily, "So, if my gift isn't valuable, I'd be embarrassed to show it?"

Claire smirked, "Of course! If this gift doesn't match your status as a third-tier wizard, I'd like to see if you're not ashamed!"

Thor was speechless, but he still took out a book from his portable spatial magic artifact, the storage device.

"A book of witchcraft?" Claire's eyes lit up, and she immediately took it and started flipping through it.

As she watched, she became completely absorbed.

He naturally pulled out the bench and sat down.

She read the common language text in the book almost word for word, her eyes shining brighter and brighter.

She seemed to have forgotten that Saul was still standing beside her.

Thor smiled silently, without disturbing Claire.

He took two steps back and squinted at the top of Keli's head.

He saw a white, semi-transparent thread on Claire's body.

The thin line slowly extended in front of Thor, with a section in the middle that appeared to be broken yet connected.

This is Claire's fate line.

Having confirmed that the other person's fate line had appeared beside him, Thor disappeared from the room with satisfaction.

Keli didn't notice him disappearing for a long time.

Meanwhile, Thor appeared beside Diudiu, who was perched atop the tower of the Kma Palace.

Originally, the servants of the Principality of Kema wanted to find a warm and comfortable stable for Diudiu, but Diudiu didn't like the stable at all. In the end, braving the wind and rain, she flew to the roof of the tallest building in the Principality of Kema.

It seemed to represent the superior status of its owner.

Thor stroked Diudiu's feathers and used his magic to hold up an umbrella for it.

When he looked up again, he saw Kira, who was also soaked in the torrential rain.

Kira was wearing dark green long-sleeved shirts and trousers, with a half-body armor on his upper body.

She jumped with all her might from the ground and leaped onto the roof.

"I will help you solve the problems of the Principality of Knas. Please grant Keli her freedom."

To everyone's surprise, Kira was visibly taken aback upon hearing Thor's words.

She bit her pale lips, and after a moment said, "Actually, I want you to take Keli away. She's someone who pursues knowledge, and this place isn't suitable for her."

Kira actually thought that?

She continued, "Keli is a person who pursues knowledge and should not be trapped by worldly power."

Saul calmly replied, "I need to consult Clare about this. But in any case, thank you for letting Clare leave."

Kira's smile was slightly bitter. "You and your mentor are really different."

Why did you suddenly bring up Professor Gorsa?

Saul: "Claire's a bit busy right now... I'll ask for her opinion after she finishes reading the book."

Having made his point clear, Thor stepped onto Diudiu.

"I have to leave for a while, and I'll be back before dark the day after tomorrow. If Keli is willing, I'll take her away then."

Diudiu flaps its giant arms, and even the wind and rain have to detour around it.

Finally, the giant bird flew further and further away and disappeared in the southeast.

A day later, the last remaining second-tier wizard in the Duchy of Knas was found to have suddenly mutated and subsequently died.
