Chapter 694 It Follows You

Chapter 694 It Follows You

Although Thor was only a novice at teleportation, he believed he had mastered the technique very well.

He has extensive experience of being "teleported" and has also had two experiences of actively teleporting.

But this time was different from the previous teleportations.

It took even longer than the time it took his mentor, Gorgosa, to guide him through the hidden layers of the wizard tower.

However, the length of time in consciousness is not necessarily the length of time in reality.

When Thor regained his clear perception of time and space, he found himself in a strange place.

Here you can see distant nebulae, with their light and darkness alternating irregularly.

The surrounding area resembled smoke, mist, or a seven-colored halo.

It is said to be seven-colored, but if you look closely, there may be hundreds or even thousands of colors.

It's as if all the colors and shades of the world are presented here.

"Is this where the elves live? But it doesn't quite look like it," Thor murmured.

He was so overwhelmed by the magnificent sight before him that he momentarily forgot the purpose of his visit.

"This is certainly not the Elf Realm."

Thor shuddered violently, as if a cold hand had suddenly struck the back of his neck. After a jolt, his reason returned.

"Who? Who's speaking? Pei'er? Where is Pei'er?"

Thor looked around but found no one or any intelligent beings.

But he gradually realized that it seemed to be... the space itself that was speaking.

The voice appeared again, but it did not answer Thor's question.

"You came here on your own initiative, is it because you want to come back?"

return?

Why did the other party say that?

Does he think Thor comes from here?

But Thor had no recollection of this place.

"No, when Penny first examined my past, she saw a world full of color. Could this be it?" Thor had a vague feeling that this place was related to the secret of his time travel and the part of his lost memories.

Do you know me?

"We don't really know each other, but you did spend some time here." The other person's voice was slow and drawn-out, as if they were used to a lonely yet leisurely life. "So, are you coming back?"

"No, I'm just here to find someone. I'll go back once I find them."

Saul was very cautious.

He did not venture out just because the place might be related to his past.

Because he discovered that this space seemed to have no magic.

Unlike the Chaotic Realm, there are no inactive elemental particles here.

There are simply no elemental particles here!

Moreover, when Thor examined himself, he found that he was now a tangled mess of yarn.

The surrounding space was spotless, without a single loose thread.

How is he supposed to get back then?

"The owner of this voice should know how to leave," Thor pondered, the ball of thread representing him wriggling slightly. "Find Pelle first, then see if we can get the way out from her."

"If you want to leave, I can send you back. But you can't take that person with you."

The voice could actually see through Thor's thoughts, even though Thor hadn't been sending any mental signals outwards!

Upon hearing about Pei'er, Thor didn't delve into the reasons but immediately asked, "Why can't we take Pei'er with us? Is she connected to this place too?"

"Isn't it you who established her connection to this place?" The voice seemed to carry a hint of amusement, or perhaps it was Thor's imagination. "Her fate is sealed; she can no longer remain in the world you came from. This is where she can continue to live."

Thor frowned (in fact, the ball of yarn had tightened a little).

"Can I see her?" He needed to see Pei'er to find out what had happened to her.

This time, there was a moment of silence.

Although Thor's perception of time was not very clear here, he could sense that the rhythm of the voice answering the question was different from before.

"I can't do that either. Not all consciousnesses can be like you, suddenly barging in here and then managing to gather together."

"She dispersed."

The ball of yarn, Thor, was twitching.

"You mean she's dead? Gone?"

"No." This time the voice answered faster. "She has only scattered, broken. But she still has a connection and a future with you, so she will reunite. Given enough time, she might, like you, reassemble into a small bundle."

There was a hint of laughter in his voice.

Thor always felt like he was being complimented on his cuteness, but he wasn't happy about it.

"So, I can't take her back anymore?"

"That's how it is for now. And she will only truly disappear if she remains in the world you came from. Her origin is unstable; the stronger her power, the closer she will be to extinction."

Thor could tell that the other person wasn't lying.

Because there's really no need for it.

"How long will it take for Pei'er to recover, or rather, to regroup?"

"Based on your perception of time, it might be a hundred years, or it might be a hundred seconds."

The voice answered Thor, but it was as if it hadn't answered at all.

Thor was somewhat disheartened.

"Thinking about it carefully, all my precognitive dreams actually came true. Clark lost his eyes. Herbert truly burned. Pelle, Pelle fell into this unknown space. And me, in fact, my entire skeleton turned black due to pollution."

"If you want to go back, don't stay here too long," the voice reminded Thor.

Thor quickly perked up. "Can I ask you two more questions?"

"Can."

"Are the star-shaped eyes in my consciousness related to you?"

Yes, we have been watching you.

Why?

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Huh?" Thor was taken aback; the other party had given such a humane answer.

However, knowing time was of the essence, he instead asked, "Will you... invade the world I came from?"

"It's too far. Only you like to travel around. I'd rather you stayed here."

Ignoring what followed, Thor breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Therefore, the eyes that entered the wizarding world and attached to his friend were likely just an unconscious influence caused by the star's immense power.

Now, through Thor's understanding of the world.

This world is really very "lazy".

"However, it also shows that this world is at a very high level. Even a small, distant influence is enough to change the subconscious of a group of people. Fortunately, I was able to discover the power of the destiny line from the language of the diary, otherwise I probably would have ended up like Pei'er when I first entered..."

"No!" The voice suddenly interrupted Thor's thoughts again. "It's not that you learned your abilities from that book, but rather that you possess a condensed thread of fate, which is why it chose to follow you!"

The ball of yarn, Thor, tightened up another turn.

"I originally possessed a condensed destiny line? Why? You said I also suddenly appeared in this world, so do you know me..."

This time, however, the voice didn't let Thor finish his question.

"If you still want to go back, go back now."

Perhaps there really wasn't enough time, or perhaps the voice refused to answer.

Thor had no choice but to stop asking questions.

"Okay, please take me back... thank you."

As soon as he finished saying "go," the colorful world before Thor's eyes vanished with a "ding," just like an electronic screen turning off.

What appeared before him was the blue sky and white clouds he had seen just before he teleported.

Only then did the word "thank you" appear in the air, spreading in all directions as sound waves.

Thor looked up.

Pei'er was no longer visible above.

There's not a single bit left.
