Chapter 514 Brain Defect
Chapter 514 Brain Defect
In a lush forest, there stands an ancient tree with a large canopy.
There is a beautiful treehouse in the canopy of this tree.
Inside this treehouse, strings of wind chimes hang.
Milky white seashell wind chimes hang from the roof, windowsills, and even under the seats.
The doors and windows of the room were all tightly closed, as if afraid that a breeze would disturb the bells ringing throughout the room.
"Ding-pa!"
The delicate thread suddenly snapped, and a milky-white seashell wind chime fell from mid-air and shattered into pieces.
The man lying in the hammock glanced to the side, then used his magic hand to pick up the broken wind chime in his palm.
At that moment, someone nearby laughed gleefully, "Clark, one of your dreams has been shattered."
Clark, with his tousled brown hair, squinted at me like I hadn't slept properly. "Oh, Kismet, when did you get here?"
"While you're talking in your sleep," Kismet said, strumming his harp without making a sound.
"Oh," Clark replied lazily, then poured the broken wind chimes from his palm into his mouth like crumbs of a pastry.
"Yawn~~"
Clark opened his mouth wide and yawned widely.
As he opened his mouth, several colorful butterflies flew out of his throat. But when he closed his mouth, the butterflies were pulled back into his mouth by an unseen force.
"It doesn't matter." He was replying to Kismet's earlier words. "If a dream is shattered, just make another one."
Suddenly, as if remembering something, Clark scratched his messy hair and said to Kismet, "When my Dream Bells are hung all over the No Man's Land, you must keep your promise and become the clapper of my bells."
Kismet chuckled dismissively. "Herbert and Perle aren't even dead yet, and they're already dreaming of becoming the masters of No Man's Land?"
Clark lay back down and said lazily, "Soon, I'll soon drag Pelle completely into my dream. Next up is Herbert."
Kismet stretched out the harp in his hand, turning it into a silver bone, and inserted it along the collarbone.
"Then may you forever remain immersed in your beautiful dreams." Kismet made a few hand gestures with one hand in front of his chest, giving an elegant bow.
After Kismet finished speaking, he disappeared in a blinding white light.
Clark looked at the chair the other person had been sitting in, flicked his index finger, and the wooden chair transformed into several colorful butterflies that flew down to another chair.
"He didn't leave behind any special methods. Why did he come all this way?"
Clark placed the back of his hand over his eyes, pondering the reason for Kismet's sudden appearance.
Lost in thought, he fell asleep again.
……
As Saul stepped into the carriage, he was suddenly jolted, and when he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a vast ocean.
"Splash... splash..."
Thor didn't react in time and disappeared underwater.
The underwater world was pitch black, with only a faint light shining overhead.
Thor exhaled a string of bubbles, then adjusted his posture, using both hands and feet to paddle towards the surface of the sea.
"call!"
A few breaths later, Thor poked his head out of the water and took a deep breath.
"Where am I? How did I suddenly fall into the sea?" Thor, still treading water, straightened up and looked around.
This vast ocean stretched as far as the eye could see, with no sign of land whatsoever. The seawater was as black as ink, and very poorly transparent.
This place is very similar to the once polluted Blue Water Bay area, but the seawater is darker and the waves are bigger.
Thor had only been drifting for a short while when he was already being slapped by the waves three times.
He tried to use his flight spell to fly, but found that the magic was scattered by the huge wave that crashed down on him as soon as it gathered.
"The seawater here can actually dissipate magic?" Thor tried to call out to Agu and the others, as well as Xiaozao and Penny, but no one responded.
"What about mental energy?" Thor didn't give up and spread his mental energy in all directions.
This time he succeeded, but the next second, he was surprised to find that the sound of the waves seemed to have transferred into his mind. Shaking his head, he felt as if liquid was surging inside.
Commonly known as "brain drained."
"The water problem is huge. But the more crucial question now is, how did I get here, and how do I get back?"
The surging waves in his mind grew louder and louder, starting to give Thor a throbbing headache.
Thor withdrew his mental energy and began to focus on examining his body internally.
"No!" Upon examination, Thor discovered the problem. "This isn't my body; it should be my consciousness. Have I entered an illusion again?"
Since he began studying the soul, Thor has always encountered wizards and monsters entangled in illusions, as if these guys were originally after him.
My headache started to worsen, and even just floating on the surface of the sea became incredibly difficult.
"Whoosh..."
Another huge wave pulled Thor directly beneath the surface of the sea.
However, due to the headache, his limbs began to become unresponsive.
Saul called for the diary again, but this time it did not appear.
He started to panic and tried to surface, but was once again swept back to the seabed by the undercurrent.
"This won't do. If this continues, I'll always be on the defensive. I have to reclaim my home turf..."
"Home field?"
Thinking of this, Thor suddenly opened his eyes, opened his mouth wide underwater, ignoring the salty seawater being forced into his throat, and stuck out his tongue.
He raised his hand and touched his tongue, clearly feeling the magical runes on it.
"Consciousness Platform!"
The next moment, a circular stone platform suddenly appeared beneath Thor, with the same magical circle drawn on the surface as on Thor's tongue.
Then, the stone platform began to rise, carrying Thor out of the sea.
Black water cascaded down the stone platform, and even the strongest winds and waves could not stop the platform from rising.
But the black sea did not give up its pursuit of Thor. Its furious will transformed into towering waves, rising high and then crashing down, seemingly trying to shatter the entire circular platform.
But the pedestal, despite having no support in the giant waves, continued to rise at a constant speed.
But when the platform rose to a distance of about ten meters above the sea, it stopped and hovered in mid-air.
The high waves crashing against the sea occasionally surged over the platform, slapping Thor hard in the face.
To avoid being swept away by the giant wave, Thor remained lying on the platform.
Although he was covered in a mess, Thor was no longer as powerless as before.
He wiped his face. "Sure enough, this is my world of consciousness, which is why the platform can appear directly beneath me. But what does the black seawater that has invaded my world of consciousness represent? Is it Claude's corruption, or has a new enemy appeared?"
The waves still wouldn't give up trying to pull Saul into the water, but their will seemed to understand that the waves alone couldn't drag a person down.
Then, some tiny, scattered things began to appear on the seabed.
These shadows were blurry, but they were floating upwards at an extremely fast speed.
To avoid being swept off the platform by the waves, Thor clung tightly to the center of the platform and did not notice the changes in the seawater.
Even as the waves seemed unable to harm him, Thor found himself pondering things amidst his headache.
"We have the platform, but what about the diaries?"
He struggled to turn over and suddenly realized that the diary was right above his head, floating quietly.
The book pages are open, but Thor can't see the contents yet.
Despite his disheveled state, Thor still managed a smile. "That's right, this is my consciousness space."
He looked past the diary and gazed up at the sky again. "Then there should still be stars!"
Just as Thor realized this, the originally dark sky suddenly became filled with countless stars.
The stars twinkled, like countless eyes blinking gently.
It was at this moment that the shadow, which was about to rise to the surface, suddenly braked sharply and then sank into the sea at an even faster speed.
It's like they're running away!
