Chapter 510 The one who strikes first survives.
Because my good friend has been missing for many days, I randomly asked a stranger on the street to lend me money to look for him.
This line of thinking is equally unconventional.
However, knowing that refusing might upset the little girl, Saul still put his hand into his pocket.
Just as Saul was about to use the pretense of reaching into his pocket to take the silver coins out of his storage device, he suddenly noticed a woman walking angrily towards him from a short distance away.
Saul raised an eyebrow, immediately pulled out his pocket, which was even cleaner than his face, and said to the little girl, "I'm so sorry, I'd love to lend you some, but I don't have a single silver coin."
Seeing that Thor hadn't produced anything, the woman's anger softened.
After a fleeting moment of hope was dashed, the little girl puffed out her cheeks and said, "You're so big now, why don't you have any money? You're such a useless adult!"
The woman behind her then came up and tapped the little girl on the head.
"Thump!"
The sound was very loud.
"Why do you borrow money from strangers like that? What if you borrow money and run away, disappearing like little Claude?"
"I was wrong, Mom." The little girl covered her head, not daring to talk back to the woman, and could only cast a venomous glare at Saul.
Thor immediately bent down and patted the little girl's head. "Well, you're too young to go out safely. I'll help you find little Claude."
The little girl perked up immediately. "Little Claude is my best friend! You have to help me find him!"
Thor nodded. "But before that, I need to learn a bit about little Claude's characteristics and figure out where to find him."
The little girl immediately jumped up and said, "Little Claude is the naughtiest. He likes to play hide-and-seek with me, hiding anywhere and making me find him."
The girl's mother clearly didn't like little Claude.
"He's a complete liar. He claimed he could make the big tree obey his commands and even transform into the village chief. I think he was just impersonating the village chief all along, and in the end, he got locked up by the village chief."
As the woman spoke, her face darkened. "Maybe they were locked up and killed."
Thor changed the subject again, "Where does the village chief live?"
The woman pointed to the prettiest white house at the end of the road, "That's it."
Thor immediately parted ways with the two and headed towards the village chief's house.
"Knock knock knock!" He knocked on the door of the white house.
"Ring ring ring..." A series of ethereal and melodious ringing sounds rang out.
The door was opened very quickly.
However, Saul was taken aback when he saw who opened the door.
Hermann: [This person?]
The person who opened the door had a head of messy red hair, and his large nose made his eyes and mouth look very small.
But unlike young Claude, this man looked to be over thirty years old.
It's not a little boy.
"Hello, I'd like to see the village chief."
The man opposite him smiled gently. "I am the village chief, Big Claude."
Although I know that in some places people with the same name are distinguished by adding a size before their name, these two people look too alike.
Thor tentatively asked, "I heard that little Claude is missing, so I came to look for him. Are you with him?"
Big Claude sighed softly, "I am his brother."
The age gap between these brothers is quite large.
"Village chief, do you know what happened to little Claude?" Thor continued to ask.
"Come in," Big Claude said, ushering Thor in. "I don't know why he disappeared either, but I was probably the last person to see him."
The village chief was dressed neatly and cleanly, and his demeanor was not like that of someone from a small village.
"A wizard passed by today, took a liking to little Claude's talent, and wanted to take him as an apprentice and take him away. Alas, little Claude refused. I was afraid the wizard would be angry, so I scolded him, and he suddenly ran away. He hasn't come back since. I've searched many places, but I haven't found him."
As soon as he finished speaking, Big Cloud noticed Thor staring straight at him. "What's wrong?"
"When did you say little Claude went missing?"
"This morning, if you want the exact time, it's around 10 a.m.." The other person clearly didn't understand what Saul meant and thought about it carefully.
Agu: [This village chief is also problematic. Everyone else says little Claude has been missing for many days, but he says he just disappeared today.]
Ann: [Could it be that this "Big Cloud" is actually "Little Cloud"? That's why he doesn't know he's missing?]
Agu: [But he's the village chief, and the others know he hasn't disappeared.]
"Maybe it's not that complicated," Thor murmured.
"What?" Village Chief Claude didn't hear clearly and asked.
A black blade suddenly appeared behind the village chief, and then it sliced off the village chief's neck with one stroke!
Hermann and the other three: [?!]
Saul stood up, moved the village chief's body to a corner out of sight of the window, then pushed open the door and went out.
"The village chief and others have different perceptions of when little Claude disappeared, which may be because the village chief died earlier than the others."
Saul returned to the street and hadn't gone far when he saw the peasant woman who had killed him walking out happily.
At the same time, a young man climbed out of a window of the house and crawled into the alley between the two houses.
Thor recognized him at a glance; he was the man who had been impaled by the farmer's pitchfork and then fell from the second floor.
Saul followed the man into the gap between the two houses. The man in front vaguely sensed someone following him, but before he could turn around, a black blade severed his head.
A moment later, Thor came out and knocked on the door of the next room.
"You're here?" The farmer was quite happy to see Thor return. "My wife just went out to buy soup base. You'll be able to enjoy a delicious soup when she gets back."
Saul smiled and thanked him, then followed the farmer into the room.
A few minutes later, the peasant woman returned and saw Saul sitting alone in the living room. She looked at the unfamiliar face with some wariness, but soon remembered something.
"Hello young man, you must be the guest my old man invited back? Where is my old man?"
Saul stood up. "Yes, hello, madam. Mr. John has gone upstairs."
"Oh dear," the peasant woman covered her face and laughed, this time not flustered at all, "How can I call you Madam? You look only in your teens. You can call me Auntie."
The peasant woman smiled and headed to the kitchen to make soup for Saul.
Thor followed behind, asking, "What kind of soup is Auntie making?"
The farmer's wife came to the stove, opened the lid of the soup pot, and said, "We farmers don't have any good ingredients; we just pick up the big bones that others don't want..."
"Gulp!"
"Splash!"
No sooner had the peasant woman finished speaking than her head fell into the soup pot.
Saul left the kitchen, closing the door behind him.
He glanced at the staircase cabinet, which was already leaking bright red liquid, and then left the farmer's house again.
When Thor suddenly killed the village chief, the four consciousnesses were only surprised, but now they are silent.
Next, Thor's black blade transformed into the Grim Reaper's scythe, killing anyone who was alone without any communication.
If he encounters two or three people acting together, he will split the black blade into several pieces and kill them all at once, giving them no chance to even think of killing him.
On this bloody path, Thor gained even more control over the Dark Spirit Blade, to the point that he could even split it into dozens of pieces.
Harvesting lives feels completely different from simply practicing witchcraft. He can sense the tearing apart of a spirit from the other person.
This allowed the Dark Spirit Blade, which was originally a dark-attribute sorcery, to improve rapidly.
When Thor fought his way to the outermost edge of the village, he saw two guards chatting idly under the outermost hut.
Two dark figures appeared silently behind the necks of the two guards.
A dark shadow flashed by, and the two headless corpses fell limply to the ground.
Thor slowly walked out of the small village. "If I kill everyone here, no one will dare to kill me anymore."
He left the last house, stood at the end of the village's only street, and looked back at the village, which had become completely quiet.
"So the rule here is, whoever strikes first survives."
