Chapter 47 One Level 3 Thigh

Chapter 47 A Level 3 Thigh

Thor looked up at Byron, whose expression remained as serious as ever.

"Is it the coordinate diagram of that composite rune?"

Byron's eyes crinkled into a smile. "Yes, although it was just a diagram of a complex rune, it gave me a lot of inspiration, which is why I was able to find my own locator at the last moment before I turned thirty."

"A locator?"

"You'll know this when you reach level two. Knowing it now will only add to your burden and distract you."

Thor nodded.

The knowledge of the wizarding world also requires a certain level of strength to explore.

Learning advanced knowledge too early will only drive people crazy.

"Although you can't understand this knowledge now, you can come find me and join my team once you reach level two. I will share some of my insights from when I was a level two apprentice."

"Squad?" This was another term Thor had never heard before.

"Third-level apprentices go out to find opportunities in order to integrate the locator, so you will almost never see them inside the Wizard Tower."

"At the same time, because the places they go are very dangerous, they often travel in groups. Many level two apprentices also go out with the groups in order to find a suitable locator for themselves, but some of them die out there."

Byron sighed, his whole body emitting a whistling sound.

"There's no other way; the resources in the Wizard Tower are limited."

Thor, thinking of his empty lab bench and cabinets, clutching a large bag of magic crystals in his arms, sighed, "Yeah, it's too limited."

Byron walked to Peggy's long table and glanced at the books on it. He then examined the three sarcophagi in the room before finally returning to Peggy's decaying body.

"These three corpses harbored evil spirits, and Peggy should have handed them over to Instructor Katz. But... she was consumed by greed and wanted to keep the corpse of this second-level apprentice for herself."

Saul nodded. The hardcover book also told him that after Saul died, Peggy would write in the register the bodies of three first-class apprentices.

The whereabouts of the second-level apprentice's body is self-evident.

The wound that replaced the lips continued to open and close.

"But she underestimated the evil spirit and overestimated herself, and got caught up in it, so she had no choice but to find you to be her scapegoat."

Thor continued to nod; Senior Byron had been right about everything.

"You did well," Byron concluded, his eyes crinkling slightly as he looked at Thor with satisfaction.

"I just stumbled upon it by accident." Thor was able to turn the tables on Peggy entirely because the Hardcover Book helped him eliminate all the wrong options, plus the items that Kongsa had given him.

Otherwise, given his strength, two strikes against the undead would be his limit.

So you should still hug those long, white legs, just be careful not to get dragged down.

"I'll handle Peggy's belongings. Do you have any objections?"

Thor immediately shook his head. "No objection. It's safest to let you handle it, senior."

Without a word, Byron walked over and easily lifted two of the coffins.

One of the bodies contained a level two apprentice, and the other contained a level one apprentice.

"Let's go."

Thor was taken aback, unsure of what Byron was up to, but he immediately followed.

Byron passed by Hayden's room and stopped to kick the door.

The door was first opened a crack, and Hayden saw that it was Byron outside. He immediately opened the door completely.

"Senior Byron."

"Um!"

Byron's wounds had healed, and he tossed one of the first-class apprentice's sarcophagi into it.

"Bang!"

The stone coffin fell to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

"Um?"

Hayden, who had worked with Byron for several years, immediately understood what Byron meant.

"I understand, I skipped work tonight and don't know what happened here."

"Hmm." Byron nodded.

Hayden immediately closed the door, pretending no one was there.

Thor, standing to the side, was utterly stunned by Byron's actions.

Byron, carrying the remaining sarcophagus, led Saul to the third mortuary.

He struck again, tearing a gash in his throat.

"There are some issues with Peggy's body, so I'll keep it and report it to my mentor. It's basically fine now, and it still has some value. Since Peggy has already concealed its existence, I'll leave it to you."

It seems that Byron was "dividing the spoils," so Peggy's body belongs to Byron.

Thor wasn't particularly dissatisfied.

But Byron didn't take Peggy's body directly, giving Saul a better option.

"You killed Peggy, so I'll keep her, but I won't take what's yours for nothing. If you want anything in return, you can come find me anytime within a month."

Thor stood up in surprise; he could even open his mouth and say a bunch of things now.

But when he looked back at the stone coffin on the ground, he suddenly calmed down.

Byron is about to become a third-level apprentice, and he will not leave the Wizard Tower.

And as one of the few people in the entire Wizard Tower who had no ill intentions towards him, and could even be his helper.

It's so rare.

His current experiment on body modification hasn't finalized its plan yet, so it's better to save the opportunity for when it's truly needed.

"Before I officially become a Level 3 apprentice, I will take over the work in the morgue. You can come to me anytime."

"Senior, do you know Sid?" Saul called out to Byron as he turned to leave.

"Hmm?" The wound has healed.

"I have some conflicts with West Germany. Do you think Peggy might be trying to use this as an excuse to kill me because of West Germany?"

Byron shook his head.

For some reason, Saul understood Byron's meaning.

He was expressing "I don't know" rather than "I don't know".

Byron looked Thor up and down, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes.

He was probably wondering why a first-level apprentice, a newcomer who had only been there for a month, could have made so many enemies.

Byron left the room, leaving Saul alone. He needed to go back and deal with Peggy's body and the trouble she had caused.

Saul was also pleased with Byron's reaction.

At the very least, Byron and West Germany probably weren't very familiar with each other.

In this way, Byron could become another powerful ally in his fight against West Germany.

A level 3 thigh!

With a contented smile on his face, Thor walked to the stone coffin.

This stone coffin looks very special; it's not made of ordinary materials.

That's true, what ordinary coffin can contain an evil spirit?

Thor rubbed his hands together excitedly, "No one gets rich without windfall gains, and the robbers are right."

Saul locked the door from the inside.

This will be the first time he has handled a body that has not been screened by Hayden.

It was also complete, his first document.

……

Peggy's case seems to have nothing to do with West Germany.

After Kongsa killed the newcomer that Sid had brought back to replace Saul, Sid disappeared for a long time.

Life returned to normal, and studying and experimenting seemed to take center stage again.

But Saul knew that West Germany would not give up.

With the hardcover book that West Germany was determined to possess floating on his shoulder, and his several near-death experiences made Saul increasingly aware of the power of the hardcover book.

Now, if anyone tries to take the hardcover book away, Saul will fight to the death.

He was unsure how much West Germany knew about hardcover books.

But his speculation is certainly limited.

The hardcover book could foresee death, and West Germany's several probing attacks on Saul did indeed threaten Saul's life.

But each time the threat of death came, it wasn't decisive enough!

This also gave Saul time to find a way to save himself.

Saul asked himself if he were the one to steal the hardcover book; he would have chosen a method of murder that would catch the victim off guard and leave them nowhere to escape.

Instead of wasting opportunities like West Germany, and having his intentions discovered by Saul.

Therefore, although West Germany was searching for a book, it was not very clear about the purpose of the hardcover book.

So, how did he know about the existence of the hardcover book?

"Sizzle!"

The sound of flames interrupted Thor's thoughts. He stood up and glanced at the crucible and other containers in the reaction on the table.

There should still be a long time before the reaction ends.

He got up to greet the first guest of the day.

Thank you again, dear readers!
